Hey ... no worries. I use it with my D5600 sometimes, too. You slide it in where you would normally put a flash on the top of the camera just above the viewfinder.
Hello! Thanks for the video review. I did buy this light cause of my budget and it’s for practicing. Question for you please, I dislike the trigger it came with, especially the battery and slot is sketchy. However, what trigger do you recommend for firing off my sb800, vision 4 from my Nikon D7100. I want to use the Vis 4 as my full light and use the sun as a hair light. Thank you! 💛
CR2 batteries are standard In Photo equipment. “The light is too bright” isn’t something a professional photographer would ever say. The light doesn’t stay on because it’s BATTERY POWERED! Those sun pack heads are a 1000x better. You might wanna go work as an assistant to learn how and why this stuff actually works. If the light is too bright you’re not diffuse enough.
Thanks for this, I had considered getting the Vision 4 but after watching your video even considering the price I'll add just a little bit more coin to the light I need. I' m a hybrid shooter. I got the Sony like most but I also have Mamiya's and a Fuji medium format and a few large format cameras just to mix things up. While using it, every time I snapped a picture, the strobe would fire, but from looking at the pictures, the picture still looked as if no flash/strobe was used. Anyone have any tips.
Great to know all this! HSS is a must for me. The ND filters are a cheap alternative but just more crap to lug around, clean, etc. thanks for the video!

I bought a the Vision4 a few months ago. I use it as a hand held strobe for architectural photography. It works great so far for most shots but.. When shooting at low settings (1/64, 1/32) at white subjects, it throws a noticeable cyan color light. Anyone else have this issue with the Vision4?
Yes! . . . Sorta. It has a PC sync port. So when I want to use more than one light, I plug in a yongnuo receiver into the strobe's sync port and trigger it that way. It also has a fairly sensitive slave mode if you want to go that route..
