It's all good as long as the flash duration is fast on the light you buy!! And this light is fast enough!! 10k of a second!! Not as fast as a speed light they tend to be double that. But fast enough! I have 10 speedlights that I regularly shoot at hss with just one that is hss capable! So 9 that are dumb and one that is triggered by remote in hss mode! The hss gun and trigger is godox! actually the trigger is neewer. others are yongnuo garbage! ! They cost nothing and they beat the pants off of canon and nikon guns if you don't want ttl!!

Hello! Thanks for the video review. I did buy this light cause of my budget and it’s for practicing. Question for you please, I dislike the trigger it came with, especially the battery and slot is sketchy. However, what trigger do you recommend for firing off my sb800, vision 4 from my Nikon D7100. I want to use the Vis 4 as my full light and use the sun as a hair light. Thank you! 💛

CR2 batteries are standard In Photo equipment. “The light is too bright” isn’t something a professional photographer would ever say. The light doesn’t stay on because it’s BATTERY POWERED!
Those sun pack heads are a 1000x better. You might wanna go work as an assistant to learn how and why this stuff actually works. If the light is too bright you’re not diffuse enough.

Thanks for this, I had considered getting the Vision 4 but after watching your video even considering the price I'll add just a little bit more coin to the light I need. I' m a hybrid shooter. I got the Sony like most but I also have Mamiya's and a Fuji medium format and a few large format cameras just to mix things up. That being said like what your doing hope to see more of your work and have you considered trying something larger than 35mm ?

Yes! . . . Sorta. It has a PC sync port. So when I want to use more than one light, I plug in a yongnuo receiver into the strobe's sync port and trigger it that way. It also has a fairly sensitive slave mode if you want to go that route..

I have a neewer 250W strobe from amazon that has to be plugged in. I use it at my home studio and I decided to try one of my Godox receivers connected to it with a sync chord and my godox X1N trigger on my Nikon and now my strobe has high-speed sync using the receiver connected to it. The only thing I don’t like about it is that I don’t have a portable battery system that can power it out on outdoor shoots i’m thinking about getting this strobe light and using the same set up with my triggers and hopefully it has a sync port. I just checked it out on Amazon it does have the port. So if you have a receiver that does high-speed sync you can connect it to your strobe

Wow . . . so you just stumbled upon a random video and thought, "Gee ... I'll just crap on someone today. That sounds like fun!" ? Thanks for putting all that positivity out into the world!
I'm not really that big of a deal, but a lot more went into this than the guy talking from behind his cell phone, reviewing the same exact light that you DID like. Not to say my video is better or worse than Don Juan Ibitayo's, just that we obviously put different amounts of effort into the production quality. What led you to like that one, but to thumbs-down this one and leave a negative, unhelpful comment?
I mean this sincerely: You put out a video. Lemme see what you can do. THEN offer criticism. I receiving criticism from doers and makers . . . not so much from just watchers.
I'm just doing what I can do and putting the best thing I've got out there. And it seems like all you care to do is crap on other people's work instead of making something for yourself.
If you really did care to help make my channel better, seems like you'd communicate a little more clearly. Your sentence fragments are hard to piece together.
In short: Please stop being so negative before YOU post. Thanks! -Kyle

I'll defend to the death your right to free speech. A wise man, he chooses wisely what he says. Putting a video like this together takes a lot of time. His time and knowledge is given to you free of charge. I'll say it again, free of charge. (for effect) With that said, Jeff, I challenge you to create a video that shows everyone what we are doing wrong. Enjoy the day sir.

Bold move critiquing a video, with absolutely zero portfolio yourself in order to make known your qualifications to do so.....
