Make sure you reapply teflon before you do
@@washmart8616 will do. I only did 1.5 wraps anyway. That might have been the issue

We could put that on the agenda list. It's pretty simple, just something that goes between the quick connect and the ball valve and tightened with the same principal.
It is a good video.. well explained,,,,, good for me ...... imo for more subscribers and growth try and ligten up a little and smile... even though it may be hard for you 🙂..
I understand the liability issue you mentioned with the female coupler facing backwards. With the male coupler forward you would have to change fittings on your SC or wand anyway, so why not just use a male coupler on both ends of the DN10 and then there is no chance of blowback if the o-ring fails.
Am I thinking about this all wrong? Getting ready to order these.
You absolutely could do that. You do however still have a female quick connect facing your hand further passed the end of the ball valve. But the extra distance could help when an o ring bursts

What's the mean purpose of a ball valve
The main purpose of the ball valve is to be able to switch from your surface cleaner to wand without having to turn your pressure washer off.

I thought that the female quick connect were one way like an air compressor quick connect. It also says online that the ball valve is 3000 psi max. Can you explain please?
The ball valve is rated for 3000 psi, but we've used these with 4000 psi for years with no issues.
The quick connects are not identical to air, there is no check valve in them.
I only use cold water pw's so I tried putting the plug mpt on both ends so I would not have to redo my connections on my hoses or pw machine. This was so I could still use the exit end as a rinse option. However when the water flowed out, there was no pressure. Any ideas as to why?
When the ball valve is open, there would not normally be pressure more than 100 psi

Marco as I washed my driveway with a surface cleaner I dis attached the surface cleaner and try to rinse with the ball valve but I wasn’t getting any pressure. What might be the problem?
You tighten the ball valve and the pressure will rise right before it closes.
What size o ring is used in this model ?

Mine started spaying a fine mist from the knob. I suppose I need to tighten my nut that doesn’t have the cover anymore? Or undo all the way and screw it back with some thread lock.

Is this okay? It has been working for me, but figured id ask.. I have a female QC at end of PW line. I then have it going to a male, that's threaded into a mosmatic swivel, which goes into the ball valve, then a male plug coming out the other end of the BV.. My guns then have the female so it works out.. It seems to work so I assume its okay to do it that way?

Most owner operators who do cold water washing will prefer to have the male plug shooting out the water, while the female coupler is what I recommend to have at the end when you are hot water washing.

@@vince7905 Make sure the pressure washer is running. Then, only open the ball valve up a quarter turn. You can play with the amount you open it to get the desired pressure coming directly out of the ball valve.
How much blue loctite do i need to apply?
A very small amount. I put about 4 drops on the top 4 threads and as you tighten the fittings, it will spread it throughout the threading.
how much maximum pressure it can hold
It says 3000 psi. I've run 5000 psi with these ball valves and still get 4 months out of them.
