Came here from the the George Benson interview with Questlove on his lost release, "Dreams Do Come True".
Wow, heard Robert Farnon's music many years and did know, or took notice that it was him. Thanks for sharing
this vital information on him. Btw, met you a couple of times Richard at 2 seminars in LA. You are so awesome
in the way you carry the flame of the Arrangers and their craft. Onward & Upward!!!

Thank you, Richard Niles, for this great program about my favorite arranger (together with Johnny Mandel), Robert Farnon! I enjoyed it very much, absolutely wonderful! Every arranger in the world learned a lot of this great musician!

Thanks!! Yes, my father Tony Romano knew him, and always considered him his favorite arranger. It was a particular pleasure to do this show. Check out my book "The Invisible Artist" about arrangers in pop. I think you'll enjoy it.

Robert Farnon was truly an artist. It's sad comparing music in the past compared to now. Was far more beautiful in the past

The opening harmonies are brilliant, just like the early 50's.

Hey Richard, really informative programme. Robert Farnons orchestrations are SO GOOD. Just ordered cds of The Singers Unlimited- Sentimental Journal and Sinatra with RF Orchestra albums you recommended.

I'm glad to learn about Robert Farnon and really appreciate the interviews, old photos, etc., but Richard Niles...REALLY! We don't want to see your musicologist face big and bold during the video on Farnon. this is so typical of musicologists I have known. Your mini photo is plenty ol boy.

Although I did this interview and documentary over 20 years ago, it was for RADIO. So I have to create a visual. I also have to publicize my YT channel, to have a small chance of earning a few pennies from the 300+ videos on my channel. And I do mean pennies. You'll enjoy the other interviews if you just shut your eyes once in a while!

It's a documentary AND an interview.
