Swaguar, the mad lad, put his mind into a meta deck for once and this was the result. In my experience, this version is much better/faster than the pre-nerf Bloodbloom list. Check out his video on the deck when you get a chance.

I've been trying to 100% the Dalaran Heist, and a common tactic is to reduce the cost of Swampqueen's Call using Bob's spell reducer. Ysiel messes with that and forces you to have spare mana. If nothing else, that card has had an... Interesting effect

Yeah, months ago, going for my 1st discard lock, me crafting Jeklik to use it along with the Quest... I learned the hard way lol. I later discarded the quest, then eventually Jeklik.
It's really sad to see that this fun and interactive deck still lives
I love how blizzard nerfed pretty much every combo piece of malygos druid because : "way too fast and uninteractive combo" while it needed 10 mana, 3 minions and 4 burn spells, all of this while the deck lacked boardclears and had one of the worst early games of any deck. Then we have this shit, infinite low cost board clears, a strategy that requires 984+IQ (find hemet = win) and then the cherry on top, you only need 7/8 mana and the combo literally has only 2 pieces. This deck, much like DH, is just another luck = win garbage

I think the best counter of this deck its the dirty rat/saboteur to trying push the Dorian or mechatun. Or trying to cast your cataclism early

They printed Mecha'thun thinking emptying deck, hand and board is difficult on top of spending 10 mana. Now Mecha'thun Warlock doesn't have to empty its deck because of Hemet, doesn't have to empty its hand or board because of Cataclysm, doesn't have to pay mana for Mecha'thun because of Dollmaster, and doesn't have to pay mana for Cataclysm because of Kael'thas.
And that's why it's gonna be the next nerfed to oblivion deck, following Grim Patron, Naga Sea Witch, Darkest Hour, etc etc
Is this still a great deck for the current meta? This game has been painful in standard and I really like a good otk deck so I was trying to find the right one to play.
As much as I hate OTK decks this one at least has some satisfying back to back animations in cataclysm and Mechathun

Can someone explain to me what Hemet’s purpose in any deck is? I’m not a great player and I’m just not seeing how it can be useful in decks other than mechathun
Gets to combo faster like for instance the old king toggle can switch decks and give ur opponent a card to swap back and there's another card that combos with this one that copies their hand and keeps there deck permanently til fatigue. He just makes getting the cards out of your deck quickly for the combos.

great deck, i did bronze to diamond in 2 days
Okay. Just today, I did around 30 games with this deck. It is actually very skill testing. You need to know how to manage your hand and know when/how to use your removals. So far, I only got 48% winrate with this deck. Maybe its just my plays. The key cards are Plot Twist and Hemet. Remember to only play Hemet when you have Plot Twist in hand. I lost a few matches because of that mistake. But the deck is pretty consistent in getting its combo pieces. Overall, just be aware that it is a very skill testing deck. why do you feel the need to play plague of flames before quest?
Are the accessory legendaries really needed? By that I mean the non-combo pieces like thalnos, reno and the soularium. Should I craft them even though they are not part of the combo?
after having played the deck a bit, soularium feels like one of the best cards in the deck and can eke out otherwise impossible wins, and reno almost single-handedly makes aggro matchups doable. thalnos could pretty easily be replaced though.
Al-Hadi hemet on 7 -> have 4 or fewer cards in deck -> soularium lets you combo the very next turn by being your first kael’thas spell and emptying your deck

This deck seems really strong to me. Lots of anti aggro, lots of cycle, and very early OTK combo, dont really know how to beat it. Is there a reliable counter to this list ?
Brann and then dirty rat destroys this deck and also put some death lords in the deck
You have to be either really lucky and/or really late with the rat. Deck has a bunch of minions that aren’t vital to the combo.
albatross after hemet comes down right when they have to OTK can fuck em up bad. same if you rat after hemet.

It kind of is somewhat consistent. You only need to draw helmet turn 6.
But the deck is a lot worse at higher ranks, because there is a lot of quest mage at legend.

@@ndasshole yeah, that's right, tried it with quest, it was too slow with having 1 less card in the opening hand and i never got the magical turn 6 lethal, wich is actually possible if u drop the reno but u would need 5 perfect draw's... Wich are all the draws u will do wich is a 1 in 15milion chance

Actually a ton of them. Just play combo breakers in your control/midrange deck: Dirty Rat, Deathlord, Hecklebot, the warlock spell that swaps a creature for a random demon etc. But it is a strong deck while few people know about it, for sure
