I swear the most frustrating thing is Laura waking up with 3f still after you've meaty them about 3-4 times in a row then you miss time your meaty once and your in the blender
Mashers will always mash. There’s a Urien that I’ve fought a thousand times already, and he just won’t stop mashing. Why? Cause he gets more wins than losses that way 🤣
Yes Fk me underrated channel. Just by only watching the Bison basics vid i could see this guy just hits the nail on the head on what we need to improve.
Great video. I often find myself employing the “play dumb” strat unconsciously, the problem is really getting to grip with their patterns quickly enough to exploit them.
Awesome video dude. I find myself going into autopilot on both attack and defence a lot and it definitely costs me games. This means I often struggle to adapt. Would be amazing to get a video around that, but I guess that's more psychological and quite tough. Yours is some of the best SF5 content on here btw bro. Keep up the amazing work. It's much appreciated!
Would be awesome to get a continuation of this, but with command grabs as well. Even when I'm calm and refreshed I still get blown up, because obviously delay teching stops being a safe option
Great video ya Amr, never had spot on instructions in a video like this on any of the other channels 🔥 Ya salam ba2a law tehbedna option select video, hankon shakereen a5er 7aga 🙏🏼
I try to think on defense based off your other vids. Might have forgotten a lot, though. So if someone wakes up w/a 3f, you should have something ready to beat it, I suppose. Good idea on playing dumb until it matters w/the throw tech>shimmy example. Wakeup or post-AA EX reversal is another conditioning area, I guess. Solid vid.
If theyre waking up with buttons you wanna meaty them not always a CC button it depends on the oki and your characters options there. Man the post-AA EX reversal is annoying but solid awnser is if they do it once expect it again at the lower ranks. Often just walking back is a good option. Cause if they ex reversal youll block it, if they try throw itll whiff
This is where frame data helps you. The best meaty is not a crush counter, but a move that will give you plus frames. The reason this is so good is because you can kind of autopilot your offense while still beating mashing. if they block, you can still mix them up because of the plus frames. If they get hit, whatever followup you were gonna do to beat the mash will probably naturally combo because of the counterhit frames. Birdie is really good at this because a lot of his buttons have plus frames. So if you get a good knockdown off of a command grab or something, you can do something like st. LK, st. LP. If they wake up with a button, the st. LP will link and you can confirm a combo. If they block, but press a button after st. lk, they still get hit by st. lp counterhit. Thus they become scared of mashing. All of this is dependent on what kind of knockdown you are getting of course and that requires you labbing out your setups. For example, you should know how to meaty the opponent after quickrise and after backrise after hitting LP bullhead.
@@semantik95 Thanks for the detailed response. LK>LP sounds good. Not sure on LP Bullhead, but years of vs, vid watching & Discord info gave me df HP for many knockdowns. And baiting/punishing EX reversals, which beat everything online w/the netcode.
The problem that I deal with is someone is constantly pressing buttons not letting their fingers rest for minute and if I try to attack I'll get hit because they pressing a button
I come across people who- I swear, don’t even KNOW any attacks, but literally destroy their controller spamming. It’s so bad that the character does random stuff because their fingers are everywhere

That's a great idea.
My favorite thing to do is to save a read for a kill combo. I started laughing when you mentioned that you do this. Clutch level plays to win the set.
Giving them a false sense of security lol
Really really good video mate. This way you are helping us players a ton. Thanks for it!!!!
Thank you very much.

I've never heard teching a throw described as a bad thing.
