Back when i first started i was using fast redeploys like project red as guards and i didnt understand that the enemies will prioritize the last OP that you deployed
imma be honest i've been in this game since 2021 and only recently got my control center at max level and i STILL have no idea what anyone means by base set up. i farmed enough lmd through the regular lmd stages to stack to nearly 2mil because i genuinely do not understand what to do with the base to get a consistent money flow
By how much? assuming you use the best base combo, mine is always around 46K to 55K every single day with 243. Just curious, since I feel like it is not worth it for my account because I don't upgrade many operators at the same time or at a high level in a short time.
yeah for first time I didn't know the usage of vanguards, not because of the DP Printing, but because I am a bit confused between "Vanguard" and "Guard" in general meaning, lol
There was a stage i couldn't clear because of big amount of enemy rushing in the beginning so i needed to place my operators as fast as possible. Then i checked through my operators and found that Scavenger gave DP Man, Arknight reallly gives Dopamine when you use your brain to overcome obstacles
I could probably handle doing 252 but never swapped due to laziness. Though my biggest mistake occurred on CN. Two or 3 events in a row at some point where I never bothered with all of the EX stages simply due to laziness. I knew I could finish them but never did because of it. Such is life.
My mistake was doing Chernobog annihilation without vanguard, 3-op struggles cause I didn't know about them DP-printer until like chapter 3. Found out by watching a clear vid that had Texas generating DP and research led to Myrtle. It was confusing cause most guide said DP. I didn't even know what DP was from the tutorial cause the deployment symbol was "C" :D
When I first played this game, I didn't know wtf a vangaurd was and I unconsiously use them without knowing, but when the quest came to where only Vangaurds came up, I then figured it out. Basically they were the mofos that can touch the ground! 😂😂
Raising 5 and 6 star operators as a beginner is such a huge mistake. Most six star operators need E2 to really shine, but that is such a huge resource commitment. New players are way better of by raising all 3 star and a few 4 stars and borrow fully build 6 star units. Getting a 4 star to E2 for borrowing is also a lot faster and cheaper. Cuora is my first E2 for this very reason.
Worst mistakes: -Dont use Myrtle (she's french, jeah...but usefull -raise Operators just because they are the first high star units you get -Don't save recourses (LMD and EXP cards 2), because you never know if you get Ifrit or Bagpipe out of the recruitment - Don't use Op to refill your Sainity or just for pulls (if you want skins too) - going all in at limited banners to early (cause of the dayly pulls) -use your yellow certificates to early (just use them, if you can get the 2 10 pulls, or you're wasting them and don't get the most possible pulls)
I made the same mistake with vanguards. I knew they were there to accelerate your DP, but because I didn't upgrade them, I thought that the non-Charger vanguards had to be placed as safe as possible so they didn't die. Sort of like "I invest DP now to get more later" Therefore, Vanguards was, to me, a horrible choice for rush stages kekw
The main problem is that while the tutorial tells you to use Vanguards to generate DP, the free Vanguard they give you is *YATO*, the one Vanguard that doesn't generate DP. So for the longest time I didn't actually know what they were for, and, just like the example given, I learned after watching a Kyo video
My first 6* pull was Siege, so I definitely clued into what her skills did and consequently what vanguards were about. I don't recall the game explicitly explaining all the roles either (someone simplify what supporters and specialists are supposed to do), but as a beginner one would think you'd spend some time at least reading skills on multiple units to figure out what you have in your toolkit compared to later when you may be less like to to read what ever 3/4* sniper does cause you just Ashe/Exusiai everything?
2:42 i learned how to use a vanguard when i needed a unit to make me CP quickly for my expensive ops. I first used texas before i found out that myrtle made a but load of CP quickly. I used her second skill for a while until i realized i need quick recharge on her skill, not healing. I basically learned through trial and error and i didn't think of watching many videos about good ops.
Seeing the comments filled with regret of not getting ash I truly appreciate the saying knowledge is power. I knew how busted the base skill was but never did i know that the ash and tachanka are busted in gameplay too.
100% sympathize with that vanguard comment. I actually thought for a while that it was a game balancing mechanic that yeah, 6*s are amazing but they're balanced by how expensive they are. And then I got Myrtle and Bagpipe and then promoted my Texas. Haven't looked back since and my squads are almost always filled with 6*s.
For those seeing this in the future: There is an upcoming Monster Hunter collab with a busted Yato Alter in a few months. Don't miss out on it, it's also a 120 pull guaranteed that will almost certainly never return.
1:59 not a problem if you're like me and got flametail as one of your first 6 stars lol she's a centurion under the guise of pioneer and you cannot convince me otherwise
For the vanguard thing, I just looked at all the ability’s and traits of my characters cus I liked learning what they do exactly, and saw vanguards than generate DP, and I love when td games have ways to generate more “income” so I built a couple (Texas and Fang) and have used both of them for a long time to get the DP I need to deploy characters like Mudrock, silver ash, Ch’en, etc
1:58 as a TD game enthusiast ever since my sony ericson phone, I can't relate to this. Resource is always needed to place tower, and the moment I know that there's tower that can produce those resource, instant upgrade, sincerely 99% flagpipe bringer. 4:19 is not a mistake to farm orundum after you have your end game squad(ez 18risk, ez event and story clear). I farm orundum pretty frequent and my squad built is still going strong, all my 6* are e2 lvl 60 with at least one mastery. Although I farm orundum I still keep my "always immediately e2 any 6*" policy a priority. And don't worry I don't neglect upgrading notable 4-5* ops, and still have a surplus mats even then. Well this force me to be a meta user(Savage is my only waifu upgrade(tbh there's also upgrade only for paradox)), but well I don't mind as long as I got extra orundum for pulls. PS: I can upload a video of my ops if you don't believe me. The farmed orundum help me spark Nian before, and help me get 300 pulls for Texalter. I'd say I roughly farmed around 40 pulls worth of orundum already(and increasing bc I cleared ch.11)
i was a level 20-30 by the R6 collab event, and my naive self at the time didnt know they were actually limited time collab operators, however, the Gacha Gods were on my side. I have all R6 characters, I managed to pull all of them within the 10 free pulls+the other 10 I had at the time
im a day 1 player and i decide to take a break right before rainbow 6 banner only to know later that its super limited and i felt like crap and so mad that im never getting it ever.
Oh boy ... 2:00 I also didn't use Vanguards when I started, except for Texas but even then I only used her S1 cause I thought her S2 didn't generate DP. 😅 5:25 I buy every skin I want even if I don't have the operator. I'm hoping to get them either by being spooked or recruitment. 7:53 Same here I wasn't very aware of Limited operators. When Nian banner dropped, I only wanted Weedy but ended up having Nian which I didn't build until Ling Event
2:53 those newbie players do not use vanguards in game is the one blinded by using highest Attack damage operator and completely ignore the core mechanics of the game
As f2p myself.. The only rules i apply to my account " Ok,you can be dumb enough to depleted your orondum for non limited operator (flash back 200pull for eyja near r6s collab),you can up any ops you want, but dont you dare spending OP other than bought a skin " imprint into my brain
Yep. The pain is real. I was just like that "100 pull on the Ash limited banner" guy. But I bit the bullet and cashed out for the last 20 rolls to get to spark. Needless to say, it took 120 rolls to get Ash.
People saying you have to login more often to make 2/5/2 worth it is a myth. It's also counterintuitive logically, the level 5 dorms will recover your operators morale faster than level 1 dorms so you can rotate operators faster in 2/4/3 than you even possibly can in 2/5/2. Also, not having enough operators makes no sense as you'll have the exact same number of slots to use, maybe +1 slot if you never leveled up your right side buildings. Even if you have to use lower production % operators the extra factory is base +100% before you even add in operators so even if they were like 5% production it would still be more than 2/4/3. It's purely higher production simply because drone production is roughly equal to 50% of other building's production and Power Plant operators have a lower production ceiling than other base operators so a PP op can add 5-10% actual production to your base. Not to mention you aren't really losing any slots since you're taking the power from dorm buildings (which clearly you don't need if you're rotating every 12 hours).
How does people not realise what a Vanguard does? The game has a resource called Deployment Point which is literally baked into the game's primary gameplay mechanic. That in of itself already implies a method to acquire said resource exists. It's just a matter of deducing the conundrum through common sense and logic. If it is a primary resource and a method to acquire them surely exist, it must be in the most obvious part of the game, one of the character classes, hence Vanguards.
I think I figured out how to use Vanguards because I'd played other tower defense games that use something similar. Like the sunflowers in Plants vs Zombies.
The only reason I learned how to use vanguards was because I saw Texas in the 5-star choice thingy, thought she looked cool, and brought her to EVERY. SINGLE. STAGE
only mistake i ever recall was buying Nian's skin when i dont have her. but then again its less of a mistake and more so an investment when she eventually arrives.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . *inhale copium*
I'm about a month into the game and only starting to learn the more in-depth mechanics and efficiency jargon. I didn't even understand half of what was said here but what I did know was I'm gonna be playing a gacha game so I made it clear to myself that whatever happens I won't spend any money on it and not rely on fancy 6star ops. If I couldn't beat the game with what I got then it's a skill issue. So far, I got two top operator tags in recruitment. I didn't even know you could combine them with other tags and was so scared of the tag dropping that it was the only tag I picked to make sure it didn't drop. Got Bagpipe and then Saria so that was cool
I buy skins for Ops I don't have and I don't fall for bait banners just don't pull, they are permanent characters, you will get them eventually there is no rush
I learned vanguard by trying the annihilation events and seeing that it doesn't regen dp and looking through all the operators for something that might help
I always think buying skins for operators that you still don't have is a sort of "catalyst" (its a chemistry terms), so I can get the operator more easily. But it is still 50/50 to my experience, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't In chemistry, catalyst is something you add to a reaction to make things go faster and easier
8:50 "skipping NTR to get Ling, only to never use Ling and now have to save enough to spark NTR on texas banner" I actually did this but the only difference is that I don't consider it as a mistake: I got both Lee and Ling, have used Ling plenty of times, and I have more than enough pulls to spark NTR on Texas banner. Well, unless I don't get Texas within 300 pulls, in that case I'll spark her, or Penance if I get Texas but not Penance. If I get both Texas and Penance within 300 then I can spark NTR.
My biggest mistake was probably not caring about tags in recruitment and just after like 4 months of playing I realized that some tags in recruitment give you guaranteed 4/ 5 stars. (I thought only top/senior operator tags really matter) also using all my OP for pulls, but that's fine though, because there's maybe a dozen skins that I really like and I already have enough of OP to get them
My only regret is E2ing Frostleaf first for some obscure reason I just like her design. I E2ed multiple other chars just because I liked them but Frostleaf is the only one i virtually never use. I literally use Midnight more
on CN i got the whole R6 squad + a silver ash spook in 20 rolls, but on EN i had to spark ash at 120, and that's where my mistake lies, i spent OP to do the final multi to spark her but if i had just waited 2 days i would get the second x10 ticket to spark her, so, dk, 33 OP instead of a free ticket doesnt look like a good idea
Well I always have or plan for 120 pulls at EACH limited banner. The only time I didn't do it was on W's banner, which was the first limited banner...and to date she is not in my rooster. ALL other limited OPs are with me.
I remember using fast redeploys as blockers since normal guards were expensive. I also didn't choose the Top Operator tag on my alt account since I thought it meant that it's for operator meant to be deployed on high ground tiles.
About pulling on limited, i saved for ling i did 220 pulls and i did not get her i got lee and some other ops but no limited, i pulled on texas alter i has 120 pulls or total, i used everything i used everything i got from the event as well and i ended uo at 210 or so pulls and i did not get texas, but i got rosmontis so thats passable
I think misssing Ash is the worst for a lot of people, it is for me too, after Dusks banner i went into R6S broke and i only had enough for 60 pulls and i got only one 6*, and of course failed the 50/50
I have Blemeshine skin and I'm just copium that she comes when I off-banner, but no. 30 ifrits instead. I also spent like 2 weeks on launch capped on sanity cuz I had no idea what I was doing lol.
for anyone who might see this, ash will be getting a rerun banner one later this year because of the second r6 colab. If you missed her the first time, this is your LAST chance, unless they do ANOTHER R5 colab, which isn't likely
I let my sanity cap because its too stressful to pressure myself to play a game when I am not feeling it. So I try my best to not care anymore. Also one time I had 300 sanity one time bc all my potion was about to expire and I didn’t want to spend a long time using it.
The biggest mistake is letting Vifer pull for you
This
Honestly? This.
True😂
Huh i was thinking of letting vifer pull mine for at least pot4 texas with 350 pulls for his content
But I'm REALLY afraid if he'll just scam me hard

Definitely the base set up. Even with the whole right side maxed out in my base I'm getting more lmd with 2-5-2 than when I was using the 2-4-3 setup
Doesnt it have the downgrade? Like you can only have lv.2 dormi. Which make you a lil bit slower to gain trust.
imma be honest i've been in this game since 2021 and only recently got my control center at max level and i STILL have no idea what anyone means by base set up. i farmed enough lmd through the regular lmd stages to stack to nearly 2mil because i genuinely do not understand what to do with the base to get a consistent money flow
Wait, you can do 2-5-2 setup while maxing the right side of the base?
@@GranMaj yes
By how much? assuming you use the best base combo, mine is always around 46K to 55K every single day with 243. Just curious, since I feel like it is not worth it for my account because I don't upgrade many operators at the same time or at a high level in a short time.
yeah for first time I didn't know the usage of vanguards, not because of the DP Printing, but because I am a bit confused between "Vanguard" and "Guard" in general meaning, lol
There was a stage i couldn't clear because of big amount of enemy rushing in the beginning so i needed to place my operators as fast as possible. Then i checked through my operators and found that Scavenger gave DP
Man, Arknight reallly gives Dopamine when you use your brain to overcome obstacles
1:56 I remember somewhere is tiped that vanguard unit is good at the beggining of mission
The biggest Arknight mistake trusting this mf named Vifer with your rolls 😡
Gonna save my savings for Kirin Yato. Either Eckogen or Kukkikaze will use my savings 😂
Worst mistakes:
-Dont use Myrtle (she's french, jeah...but usefull
-raise Operators just because they are the first high star units you get
-Don't save recourses (LMD and EXP cards 2), because you never know if you get Ifrit or Bagpipe out of the recruitment
- Don't use Op to refill your Sainity or just for pulls (if you want skins too)
- going all in at limited banners to early (cause of the dayly pulls)
-use your yellow certificates to early (just use them, if you can get the 2 10 pulls, or you're wasting them and don't get the most possible pulls)
I made the same mistake with vanguards. I knew they were there to accelerate your DP, but because I didn't upgrade them, I thought that the non-Charger vanguards had to be placed as safe as possible so they didn't die. Sort of like "I invest DP now to get more later"
Therefore, Vanguards was, to me, a horrible choice for rush stages kekw
Farming rocks isn't bad if your in the endgame
If you have no ops to raise
2:42 i learned how to use a vanguard when i needed a unit to make me CP quickly for my expensive ops. I first used texas before i found out that myrtle made a but load of CP quickly. I used her second skill for a while until i realized i need quick recharge on her skill, not healing.
I basically learned through trial and error and i didn't think of watching many videos about good ops.
3:27 " I learned it from PVZ"
learning from the GOATed game
Seeing the comments filled with regret of not getting ash
I truly appreciate the saying knowledge is power. I knew how busted the base skill was but never did i know that the ash and tachanka are busted in gameplay too.
Hm, this is the part that scamfer, actually talks about true facts
100% sympathize with that vanguard comment. I actually thought for a while that it was a game balancing mechanic that yeah, 6*s are amazing but they're balanced by how expensive they are.
And then I got Myrtle and Bagpipe and then promoted my Texas. Haven't looked back since and my squads are almost always filled with 6*s.
For those seeing this in the future: There is an upcoming Monster Hunter collab with a busted Yato Alter in a few months. Don't miss out on it, it's also a 120 pull guaranteed that will almost certainly never return.
1:59 not a problem if you're like me and got flametail as one of your first 6 stars lol
she's a centurion under the guise of pioneer and you cannot convince me otherwise
Please do more video like this.
It's really comforting because i know im not the only dumb person in this community lol.
Would love more videos like this, have a few friends just starting the game and they are probably making these mistakes that I definitely never did.
i was a level 20-30 by the R6 collab event, and my naive self at the time didnt know they were actually limited time collab operators, however, the Gacha Gods were on my side. I have all R6 characters, I managed to pull all of them within the 10 free pulls+the other 10 I had at the time
im a day 1 player and i decide to take a break right before rainbow 6 banner only to know later that its super limited and i felt like crap and so mad that im never getting it ever.
I can relate with the skin part, I've had the W skin since the Skadi alter event and I still dont have W yet
Oh boy ...
2:00 I also didn't use Vanguards when I started, except for Texas but even then I only used her S1 cause I thought her S2 didn't generate DP. 😅
5:25 I buy every skin I want even if I don't have the operator. I'm hoping to get them either by being spooked or recruitment.
7:53 Same here I wasn't very aware of Limited operators. When Nian banner dropped, I only wanted Weedy but ended up having Nian which I didn't build until Ling Event
i bought the cny chen skin during the first ancient forge run. i did not get normal chen until a few months ago 😅
2:53 those newbie players do not use vanguards in game is the one blinded by using highest Attack damage operator and completely ignore the core mechanics of the game
As f2p myself..
The only rules i apply to my account
" Ok,you can be dumb enough to depleted your orondum for non limited operator (flash back 200pull for eyja near r6s collab),you can up any ops you want, but dont you dare spending OP other than bought a skin " imprint into my brain
Yep. The pain is real. I was just like that "100 pull on the Ash limited banner" guy. But I bit the bullet and cashed out for the last 20 rolls to get to spark.
Needless to say, it took 120 rolls to get Ash.
accidently refreshed recruitment when i had a top operator tag... was sleepy, but not so much after that mistake
If i remember correctly there's a farming stage where you need vanguards that's how i started to use vanguards
"How did you learn what a vanguard was?"
Seige was my first 6 star LOL
5:14 it is worth it for guys who too lazy to complete new levels, so they just can farm 1-7 and annihilation for orundum
Danbo farming 1-7 for all eternity: Have I told you the definition of insanity?
How does people not realise what a Vanguard does? The game has a resource called Deployment Point which is literally baked into the game's primary gameplay mechanic. That in of itself already implies a method to acquire said resource exists. It's just a matter of deducing the conundrum through common sense and logic. If it is a primary resource and a method to acquire them surely exist, it must be in the most obvious part of the game, one of the character classes, hence Vanguards.
Ash was also my biggest regret. I should've just converted all my OPs for pulls.
SINGLE. STAGE
I did the same as papapickles and till this day I regretted that choice of not swiping till 120 pulls
Desperately clear 9-19 to just realize "oh.. i have no resources to upgrade operator again" :D
*but now my siverash and thorn are lv. 60
only mistake i ever recall was buying Nian's skin when i dont have her. but then again its less of a mistake and more so an investment when she eventually arrives..

I buy skins for Ops I don't have and I don't fall for bait banners
just don't pull, they are permanent characters, you will get them eventually there is no rush
Well my 1st 6 star is siege so I didn't lack dp yet I still don't know what vanguard is so...
My mistake is I forgot I had 2 sanity potion due in 23 hours
And I forgot it because I was playing star rail
The worst mistake is thinking it was a mistake to not making 2-5-2 base.
2:24 it taught me by giving me Texas and siege is waifu.
massive F for PapaP1ckles
Thanks brotha
I learned vanguard by trying the annihilation events and seeing that it doesn't regen dp and looking through all the operators for something that might help
S1M3 Mayer has been clutch for me in a lot of situations
good timing, i just started plaing
I always think buying skins for operators that you still don't have is a sort of "catalyst" (its a chemistry terms), so I can get the operator more easily. But it is still 50/50 to my experience, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
In chemistry, catalyst is something you add to a reaction to make things go faster and easier
The one I could see as my mistake....is not having robot tag or get it to fill robo pots
It's more efficient to just convert originite prime into orundum than it is to use prime for rock farming.
8:50 "skipping NTR to get Ling, only to never use Ling and now have to save enough to spark NTR on texas banner"
I actually did this but the only difference is that I don't consider it as a mistake: I got both Lee and Ling, have used Ling plenty of times, and I have more than enough pulls to spark NTR on Texas banner. Well, unless I don't get Texas within 300 pulls, in that case I'll spark her, or Penance if I get Texas but not Penance. If I get both Texas and Penance within 300 then I can spark NTR.
Ling is the trust farm master bar none. She enables me to basically farm resources and trust of operators at the same time.
the worst mistake is not reading because it makes you make mistakes
The game does teach you to use vanguards all the way in the beginning.
I literally use Midnight more
on CN i got the whole R6 squad + a silver ash spook in 20 rolls, but on EN i had to spark ash at 120, and that's where my mistake lies, i spent OP to do the final multi to spark her but if i had just waited 2 days i would get the second x10 ticket to spark her, so, dk, 33 OP instead of a free ticket doesnt look like a good idea
i learned how to use vanguards in the tutorial where they give you a free fang, cause they were the cheapest to deploy
Well I always have or plan for 120 pulls at EACH limited banner.
The only time I didn't do it was on W's banner, which was the first limited banner...and to date she is not in my rooster. ALL other limited OPs are with me.
I learned about vanguards bc the game told me in a tip on early chapters if I remember correctly
Ah, I made the opposite mistake, I used to only use Vanguard because I liked the cheaper and quicker redeploy...
I remember using fast redeploys as blockers since normal guards were expensive. I also didn't choose the Top Operator tag on my alt account since I thought it meant that it's for operator meant to be deployed on high ground tiles.
The biggest mistake is not having started playing on day one and never quitting.
that Ling mistake hits soooooo hard sniff no ling till spark😭
About pulling on limited, i saved for ling i did 220 pulls and i did not get her i got lee and some other ops but no limited, i pulled on texas alter i has 120 pulls or total, i used everything i used everything i got from the event as well and i ended uo at 210 or so pulls and i did not get texas, but i got rosmontis so thats passable
the biggest mistake I made was spending OP on Columbian Hotel when I was new... And also focusing on 6 stars .-. still doing.
I think misssing Ash is the worst for a lot of people, it is for me too, after Dusks banner i went into R6S broke and i only had enough for 60 pulls and i got only one 6*, and of course failed the 50/50
I've been playing for a year and I have no idea how to farm originum or what a 2-5-2 is
7:43 I'm also addicted to pulling, good thing I got lucky on my limited operator pulls. 🤣😂
