i have been purely f2p since starting the game in january 2021 and i was never tempted to spend, since i always found the process of planning my resources carefully the most fun part of any gacha game in long term. was kind of surprised to see that my account looked subjectively better than the ones in the video (regarding the amount of ops owned/raised, skin count, masteries, etc.).
Well yea im f2p too and the spending of the guy is questionable. Like you can either spend it on 20pulls or get yourself 3 skins, and no way p5 chalter worth it for f2p. The only time i spent OP on pulls was for skalter after 6 off banners.
Same here I just came back to the game again I've stop playing the game since 2021 that account can rival this whales unfortunately I lost my account cause I didn't bind it which hurts a lot but it's okay I can start over

As someone who is about $3000 in, I can definitely tell you that Kew feels like they've spent a lot of OP on trying out various strats. I feel like I have more maxed ops, both pots and masteries. I'm missing 5 ops total, one of which is Heidi. I tend to be fairly lazy when it comes to challenge stages (my medal sets look like a mess), but aside from that I try to be efficient with sanity spending and the like
i kinda feel disapointed for the 7k account , it doesn't feel like one. i have seen 2k and 3k accounts who have way more progress in it.

I paid around 70 on Arknights so far; a starter headhunting when Thorns came out; another pack when Specalter banner was out and one of the recent anniversary packs from Gavialter banner! Then two monthly cards so far and Im planning to buy more monthly cards for now
I usually like to stay F2P, even if it frustrates me, I personally cant see myself spending much on ingame currency but I started getting so deep into arknights and its characters that I am willing to do it now!
I seriously love this game / the characters; I have my acc for a bit more than 2 years now ?? and got into arknights lore just half a year ago LOL

I'm a month and a half old player spent $4 so far. Noticed a dollar off discount in the play store and figured it was worth a try. The monthly card is pretty nice, so I'm feeling like I'll keep it running for the foreseeable future, but I don't intend to spend more than that (Famous last words).
You can generally manage to get most of the ops you want with just the monthly card.
If you just roll on limited banners and buy operators from the shop, you should eventually get most operators in the game with just the monthly card. The only ones you won't be able to get like that are past collab operators, like the R6 ones.
It's a diminishing returns as you spend more on gacha.
I'm a dolphin who spent around... less than 100$ on the game? day 1 player thought, technically day 2
I feel like i'm way ahead than the 300$ account.
I think my account outside of potential on operators is comparable to the 7k$ whale.
I never used the OP on rolls, only on skins.
So it'd be nice to see how starting so early could have pushed players to have better accounts like I do.

Edit: I have wasted a LOT of sanity on red certs, and bought the red cert store now 2 times over, and I'm building up some reserves for the incomming reset.
You can also just be lucky tho. I’ve gotten most of my 6 stars after ~60 pulls. Which I heard was not normal??
@@pewpewpew1834 the average rate of pulling a six star is about 30 pulls per a 6 star, so your deviation from that averages is pretty big
Mines definitely most like the €300 account. I have just over 5 pages of e2s, and about 3 pages of six stars, but the vast majority of sixes don't have any potentials. (1 max (its skadi) 2 freebie 6s max, and like maybe a handful at 2-3 pot). I have i'd say maybe /20-25%/(i was wrong its more like 20-25% ive bought with og, the other 20-39% are event skins. I just counted. Holy moly ak is generous with event skins i have 46!.) of the outfit store between freebies & events, and using og prime exclusively for outfits unless im desperate. (tho my account is a dolphin just over£100 spent started in near release one).
Most of my joy comes from seeing the units all lvl up over time lol.
I'm f2p, started on Rosa, and to be perfectly honest, I've never felt compelled in any way to spend money on the game. I've learnt to be very diligent with pulls because I used to play feh, which is a lot less generous, and with this mentality, I have every single operator I wanted and they are all built, + quite a few I've built for memes. I even have 3 pot 6es with dusk, gg and ling(which, in my defense, I got while searching for my last dusk pot, and never got above 100 trust). All and all, if I had spent on the game, I'd probably have a little more resources and 6*, but really f2p players are not penalized one bit in arknights, which is why I'm glad I found this game
@@amam-hv2xr nah you capping. usually 40-50 pull average, 60 is the pity. but yea there is that 10 pull one thing that have a chance to pull *6 so if you lucky in that you can always get *6 in first 10 pull.

I'd be curious to get mine reviewed at some point. I'm more of a dolphin. Idk how much I've spent but I'm pretty sure I haven't hit $1000 yet (if I had to guess I'd say maybe around 700-800ish) I really only spend money during limited events where I buy most or all the event stuff. Despite that my luck (up until recently) was really good. So I rarely got Ops through the money I spent. The amount of ops I got from spending money I could count on my hands.
Only thing is don't expect many CC medals, Ive only seriously attempted like 2 of them.

I'm a Day 1 player and I've spent a few grand on AK, but I've never really cared for Medals so a bunch are not complete, and I've cared about collecting the units but only Pozy has escaped me so far.
I spent a total of $270 ($300 if not counting google play discounts). I roll for every limited and I'm only one operator behind the whale (not counting potentials), granted last time I rolled was Gavial Alter. I currently have 500 pulls saved up.

Spent $7 total; $2 for the charity packs and $5 on a monthly pass early on that I didn't use to it's fullest. Honestly I'd pay back all the resources I gained from the monthly pack just to say I only ever spent that $2
Meanwhile I'm at 226 operators and the only limited I haven't gotten was Nian and I'm forever haunted by it
Ayo same for me, $2 for charity and $5 on OP just to buy Saria's bloodline of combat skin, while the limited ops that I don't own is Nian, Rosmontis, and Dusk
Honestly the ONLY moment I ever whaled money on this game was in Nian's event. I didn't even care if she wasn't good or just way too niche, she had to come home. Safe to say, that was my worst pulls in any gacha ever. Pulled around 273 times before I got her. I ended up with a pot 6 Aak... I don't even know if it was luck or bad luck, to win a 50% chance to get a "in banner" character 7 times in a row, but lose 6 times in a row before I got Nian.
I usually have an insane F2P luck in Arknights, getting all the limited character banners with just f2p resources and usually in around 40-50 pulls (I literally always get the two featured 6 stars on those banners rather easily), but the only time I REALLY wanted a character I got kicked in the balls so hard by HG.
Edit: I even got 51 out of 61 six star ops right now (without counting Dorothy)
Spent 60$-ish on the game (counting both packs and monthly until I stopped spending.) For me, the game got more interesting because i have the operators that i want.
when you start AK, if you're interested in a particular operator, then you should save your pull currency for that operator. I haven't spend money after gavial2's banner because i have all of the operators that made me enjoy this game.

Funnily, my account is dolphin (only occasional monthly like thrice a year and never bought OP) but somehow much better than the account in showcase.
Most of my OP is for skins, never capped the sanity, and save originium for limited or waifu pulls. Perhaps discipline is a good stats.
3 years player with min-max strategy early really paid off for the long run, its a fair progress either way.
I have 239 operators and pay for monthly card every month almost 3 years, and pay for "6* recruitment ticket" 3 times. Lucky me to not spend money too much.
honestly surprised at all the dupes on $7000 account. I spent roughly $1000, dont got a lot of dupes but I've got good amount of skins, 240 operators, 520 originite prime and pretty good farmed materials.
I'm f2p been playing for way less time, and my account looks way better than the example given here. F2P can be happy too.
I spent around the $200 ish a bunch during the anniversary. Started like a few months ago. Pretty happy with what I got. Eyja and Goldenglow were the two I was really going for and I got them both. Wish I was around to get Rosmontis or W.

Spent like 30 dollars on monthly orundum over a course of 2 years so idk what category i am but i have quite a lot of operators and a proud owner of a p5 pozy cause galter wont come home (she did but at that point its too late). Lots of missing medals but quite a lot of e2's and m3's. Level 104, and i have 213 operators so thats nice

F2P 0$ here since 2020-1-31 So releaseweek of Global with 233 OPs and Level 120.
Currently 77k Orundum and 497 Originate Prime with many Skins bought from the Shop.
I play at least once a day doing all daily quests, never missed one daily, i think.
I also have ALL Event Medals and I also have all trimmed Medals...except the first CC, didn't know there were trimmed medals at that time. :D
Arknights is the probably the only gacha game where F2P gets you almost everything, with a bit of planning. And where getting pots is not game changing.

I was f2p till yesterday, only been playing 5 months though. headhunt 20 pack, 24 prime 20 headhunt pack, 3 months of pass and gummy pack, $120 in my currency. Got me 1 kirin Yato.
I am really surprised. I am completely f2p and my account is actually better than the 7k one. I have almost all the 6*s, 2 pages of lv90s, all the medals, basically the same amount of mastery levels and all my 6*s are e2 lv70 minimum. I worked very hard on it, so this makes me feel really proud ngl.
Also count in the luck factor and priorities, especially on the usage of OP's.
Hi, Im also full f2p, month old player, maybe you can share some advice? Do you use 252 for your base? Farming resources feels so rng, but it is the best way to spend sanity, right? Not exp and lmd stages? I feel perma broke on every resource, and i don't even have any 6* except Exu, whom I E2'd, but the rest Im trying to build decent 4* and some 5*, which I also don't have a lot of.
@@Seikenguy 252 is good especially you're starting out, just don't full upgrade the right side so that you have extra power to dump into factories. Also remember to use drones if you're not planning on upgrading.
Normally I prefer farming chips and lmd and farm materials in event stages only, but I'm not sure which one is more efficient, just know that if you need to farm orirock just do 1-7 and craft it up.
About being broke on every resources, I've played since december 2020 and I'm the same as you are, there are some mats I have hundreds of and then there are ones that I constantly run out. As long as there are still operators I want to build I'm always going to be broke, so don't fuss about it too much.
Honestly just push through the early game. After a while you will have a decent reserve of materials, and the joy of pulling for someone and E2ing them in the same hour will offset the grindy feeling of the early game.
@@Seikenguy It's just time, you will have a lot of things you need to build early on but almost none after around some years. I'm completely F2P as well, currently sitting at 17.6 mil LMD, 1k gold exp, 14k purple exp, at least 100+ blue mats (most are 200+)and 48 6 stars built. I have never used 252 as well, have always used 243 since i've started. So, just do whatever you think is the best and later, you will slowly enter this stage.
@@Seikenguy I lost my 4 months account, and now I'm with 1 month account. Yeah, I'm with 252 base. Early on, I farm LMD and EXP to upgrade my core *3 ASAP, then unlock all resources stages and build proper base. My only E2 is Courier, the only reason is so I can borrow E2 operators from my Friend List. I have some 6 stars, like Exu, but I think they are useless and will only wasting my resources. Now I have enough resources to build E2 Mountain but maybe only E2 L60 S2M2, I will buy him with yellow certs this week. Yeah, for now the main problem is to farm resources. But it is better to farm resources from events, then maybe you can spend more time to finish the story stage.

I started Dec. 3rd 2021 and I'm sitting on every op in the game and currently 137 E2 ops. Is the difference in the higher level of ops? Because my account i have a few E260s but around 120~ of my E2s are all E2L20SL7

Yeah, the 7k account isn't that well put, the 300$ is much better! I spent a similar amount, and with careful planning i have all of the limited ops and am on road to keep it that way for future events. Also have 700 OP leftover for skins as I never pull with OP

Bruh man, i as f2p, who play from 16 august 2021(right before R6S collab) Have more E2 6* and even have P6 NTRK without having very much rolls
Spent over $180+ (monthly and beginner)on the game, just lazy at times. Completed 1-8 cc and missed some days on cc9-10 which doesn't bother me much on missing medals. I must say that having to play at early game was a little advantage.
Pretty salty to not get Rosmontis and W but anyways might consider buying exu 5 days left.

I think I spent around $1k so far and my Operator progression is better than the 7k account. Most of my OP goes to restoring sanity and skins with how generous Arknights gacha has been to me
its not all about how much money spent on the game, another important factor is how much time invested in the game.
I pay less then the Dolphin (Less than $100 total) and my roster are actually more built than the $7000 guy.
I did started playing on early Feb 2020 tho.
I am f2p and I joined a month after release.
I have 217 ops, 70 e2s and 74 m3s
+ ~half of the skins
not many potentials on 6*s though
Im a dolphin who only spends on male banners that I like and limiteds, and I got quite a few 6* + E2/ M3. Only really use OP for skins. Arknights doesn't really need me to be hyper-spendy

Interesting, i'm f2p playing arknights On 2020(forget what month is but i think At that time there was CC3 and W banner with Weddy).
My account is pretty decent even f2p. Now I have 8 operator limited like ling, rosmontis, dusk, ash, chong yue, texalter and skalter. Many of my operator have M3 to or even M6(my only M9 is saria)
My way of playing gacha is also quite simple. when i see Interesting banners, i like that Characters and have my resource at least 60 pull for gacha. I will gacha that banner, it doesn't matter whether it's rated on or off cause every 6* operator is good for f2p (Except for dupes or potential).
Maybe the progress of this account is also helped by luck during the gacha. Because of that i buy A LOT OF SKIN for my *6 and *5 Which I often use like elysium, la pluma, mostima, dusk, ling, thorns, mudrock and many more. It's just A LOT if i have to say it

Mini dolphin stopped buying monthly pass but I'm veteran player global released, now believed can compete with whale account.
I literally just went through my Google Play history and counted, I spent $4090, and I feel like my account is twice as good as the $7k dude. Maybe it's the extra 6 months from being a Day 1'er, but sheesh.

tbh my account is dolphin, spent like 300-500, and it's much better than 7000$ account except for the pot. Have more E2, more ops, way more resources. I also have like 700 rolls in reserve, and I already stopped buying headhunting pack and origium like 1 year ago. The whale account doesn't look whale to me.
The difference IS in the amount of potentials, P6s are not cheap. One whale P6 is worth around 1000-1200 OP on average. That's around 500-700 dollars each. Looking at the first page of operators you can already see 3 pot 6 and 1 pot 5. Further in you see 3-4 more pot 5s. That's where around 4-5k went probably.
Also just by the amount of random 4 stars that was shown to have M3-6 you can safely assume nearly all of the operators above E2lvl40 is M3/6/9. That amount of materials can only be achieve by aggressively swiping on refills using OP to spam skill summaries, lmd and exp. This is probably the type of whale that would swipe 100$ because he ran out of OP refilling while farming for Podenco S2M3

That whale account... didn't look like it belongs in Whale Tier tbh. Not based on built Operators or Potentials, at least. When you think "whale", you think basically tons of Max Pot and highly built units. Yet outside of a handful that they clearly went hard on like GG, those pots and masteries look entirely dolphin attainable, and the amount of E2's isn't even that large compared to some F2P/Light Spenders I know either.
I have to question where the $7000 went, if they did actually spend that much. It looks more like $1k-$2k max, if that.
I'm new, could you please explain how money affects getting pots and masteries? Can you straight up buy potential wiht money? Or is it all through sanity, where you just buy originium, refill, and just oogabooga no life farm?
@@Seikenguy You buy pulls to get potentials, and for masteries it's as you said; buy primes, use for refills and ungabunga farm.
$7000 dollars probably went on swiping for sanity refills to upgrade random 4* and 5* operators to M6
I bet the money went trying to get max pot Golden Glow or any other non limited banner, they can be hell if you are unluky and want to go full pot. Specially once you exhaust the discounted packs and have to buy raw primes... ouch.
7k dude is unlucky or what, I have more operators than him and e2'ed all my six stars (I have every 6 star except ebenholz) and almost m3'ed at least all of them. Like I have no clue what he spent his money on 😭 he didn't even buy all the skins, I really don't get it

I have 2 accounts one f2p and one where I spent maybe about 500€. I started both of them around the end of 2020 and I think those guys from the video are all kinda fucking up their resource management. I have 221 operators on my f2p and all my 6 stars are at least E2 lvl 60. I don't get why you would waste resources by putting masteries on a lot of skill 1s which are mostly never used while having unleveled 6 stars sitting in your account. Also pulling for pots is kind of a waste most of the time imo. On my dolphin account I have only bought the monthly card for almost a year now I think and I can still pull on every banner and own every 6 star except Mizuki bc I've never pulled for potentials and once you have all the 6 stars and can basically ignore the standard and rerun banners and can spend all your yellow certs HH tickets you get A LOT of pulls without spending much. One other thing is that I think material management is actually easier on a f2p account bc you don't get that many 6 stars so I pretty much always have more LMD and EXP tickets on my f2p. At the end of the day I luckily really don't think you need to spend a lot of money on this game since there's not much reward for it plus global is kind of slower paced than CN which already means we all probably have more resources than the game is even designed for with all these extra dead weeks where we still get all the daily/weekly rewards while CN has one event after another.
There is no way that last one is 7k. My account is about as old and got more ops, E2s and max level ops while being a goldfish. I also have the materials to get masteries up too. It doesn't look like they have potentials worth 7 grand either.
Either this person has a serious problem with how they spend their originium or they are lying.
