I can feel pain, despair and nostalgia in this song. It really conveys the music and the lyrics too much, it gives you goosebumps. Music is a way to vent. I'm so proud, Dan is brave enough to open up to the public and get this out. ❤️🇲🇽
my best friend/ex added this to our playlist after we fell out a few months ago over her hurting me and its driving me crazy. ik it probably means nothing and she just like the song but man how can a song like this mean nothing in this context... genuinely curious for opinions
"Drifting like I'm oil in water" I feel those words so deeply. My son passed away six months ago, and next month he would be 12. Since then I just haven't really cared about anything, just letting each day pass by until I'm dead. Drifting like I'm oil in water

I'm glad the other comments feel the way I do, this hits different.. I'm struggling dealing with my son then I hear this sing, just hear the words I don't say definitely hits, I'm learning as a dad just as much as my son in life, I've gotta learn to see signs. But then again I feel like I'm losing him, as he is drifting like oil in water. Great song, will help me in the future!
I’m literally in tears! This is a masterpiece! There’s some unexplainable feeling of pain and nostalgia in this song which makes me cry like a little kid. Your love will leave me lonely, repeating oh if only…This line just killed me💔
One thing architects will definitely do is have that one song that touches you to the core. Talk about consistency across every album: Burn Down My House Dying is absolutely safe Doomsday Gone with the wind Youth is Wasted On The Young Behind The Throne An Open Letter To Myself In Elegance Sail This Ship Alone This confession means nothing
@@hamzazulfi that was the song that made me fall in love with the album. Castles In The Air made me appreciate Tom's writing so much more. Controversial but I really think LT//LF is their best album
"Your love will let me lonely repeating if only" That makes me think in my last relationship that was really abusive and sometimes i realize this line really fits in the way i feel, because sometimes i wonder if i just only tried to do something diferent to make that relationship works so this song really relates how sometimes i feel after that situation
I gave a first listen to the album at my workplace, ignoring the fact that it was already out by a midnight. I knew what to expect from it and most importantly, I clearly knew what it's going to be about. I had quite mixed feelings on the first listen as I expected... as anyone would expect really. Though being a hardcore LF//LT and Daybreaker fan I liked a decent half of it right away. Played it couple more times and felt in love with some of the songs even. Even though I already had a general idea of what the lyrics are all about and knew how important they are on this record, I wasn't looking at them at that moment and wasn't able to catch up most of them since they're not in my native language. I just kept playing couple songs on repeat while doing my high priority tasks ignoring the fact that I was supposed to go on vacation two weeks ago. An hour after the end of my working day I packed my Hi-Fi listening gear and went home accompanied by this song. It created the unbelievably nice and somehow nostalgic, very personal atmosphere on my way to an old-ass broken down apartment I rent for a pittance in a strange city that's thousands kilometers away from my hometown. When I got home and checked out my empty fridge, I decided to abandon my usual scenario where I sit down at my PC and waste another evening on a pointless looking at a screen. Instead I laid down on the bed and played this song once again while checking out its lyrics... and I lost it. As soon as I saw the lyrics I broke down crying. Every line felt to me like a hit by a truck. Not a single track by any band was so close to what's happening to my life. Not even Discourse Is Dead. Still can't pull myself together. You can fall in love with every single track of this record, or maybe hate it with a passion, or probably not care about it at all. One thing's for sure - it is very much capable of hitting in the feels. It is capable of making someone feel at least something. And you clearly know it if you're reading this. That being said, I think it means a success for the band. Thank you Architects.
Sadly for me, this was Architects weakest release ever. The songs feel numb, lifeless, lacking passion and emotion. Gone are the days of AOGHAU and Holy Hell. I also love their earlier music, this is the only miss they've release ever, so I will let them off. I just cannot bring myself to give the album a 10th try
Played the album while going on a drive & yeah this song was replayed the most, what a great emotional track with so much atmosphere. My favourite on the album so far. I feel like it'll be underappreciated in the long run.
Thanks, Architects. I love you. This song is one of those that carries a lot of pain, but this song gives reassurance that I have at least you, to whom it is not alien. I love you endlessly.
Amazing album. First listen - started with song 1, 2, 3, and was stuck on this - repeating again, again and again... Realised that I should listen to the rest of this awesome album. The next were unsurprisingly on fire.
Just can't stop listening to this song! It touches my heart! I've been impressed by Sam's voclas so many times, but once again- I'm speechless... What a composition! The whole album is outstanding! Good job!👏 P.S. I love every single songs of this band and 'Gone With The Wind' is one of my favourite, so I'm not a new fan. What I love in Architects is the fact that they put 1000% themselves in what they do. It's always meaningful. Even if they change the style a little bit, they are still themselves. I will stand by them proudly.❤
I know that the most people don’t like the new sound cause it’s to soft but this record and this song are such masterpieces i think I love the old sound as much as I love the new sound Greetings from Germany
This song reminds me of the last year and a half of a friendship I just recently lost. It started going down after the day of the birth of my son. I felt that I had to be the one to hold the friendship and fight for it all on my own. She even blamed me for being busy while having a toddler and working full time.
Strongest song on the new album. Refreshing to hear song without forced breakdown part that goes "du dud du dud dud dududu blegh". I also love 'classic', almost Beatles type of song writing/structure, song has a clear verse, chorus and c part / bridge. Also, simple song structure compliments very rich soundscape this song has, with tambourines, synths and huge sounding bass and drums. I've had this on repeat for 2 days
The live version of this is beautiful, the acoustic beginning into full band is amazing! Especially after Sam's speech about depression and that it's OK to ask for help
liked it most of all! i guess this is one of their best song. it differs so much from all the other tracks. so painfull. so emotional. thank u guys. u are in my heart forever
"🖤💔🔥" lml
I can visualize a scene in a movie where the main character burns down his house and walks away, cinematically and this song is playing in the background then there's like a shot inside the burning house with either his burning victims/enemy or photos and memories of him. If it's the ending of the film, it'll fade to black once he's out of the shot. What do you guys think?
