The Resident gave ITU nurses who worked directly with covid patients a free stay at their hotels to say thank you. My mum who's a nurse brought me along and yes Grace - the loveliest hotel staff ever!
The extra knickers and socks debate question. For some reason I was always taught to pack like you are going to get uncontrollable food poisoning every day of your trip. My family is very paranoid though so... Great video! I would love an upscale hotel and resort honest reviews from you.

Gracie, this vlog makes me feel like taking a day off and just going to London by myself and enjoy my own company. Challenge myself to find little new things to try e.g. chocolate or beauty product (that won't be expensive) and just have a change of scenery.
I always heard that the stars mean the hotel has additional amenities. We just assume with more amenities the better it will be but its not always true. Lots of love to you Grace!
Entirely true! The stars are fairly arbitrary. It's things like having fresh flowers in the lobby, having a restaurant on site, having a gym on site, etc.
I’m really invested in this hotel saga, I just had my first experience staying in a capsule hotel and it was so fun hahahaha
Hey Grackle, my Mom and I love your videos, and I just wanted to let you know for a little constructive critique that in a couple of recent ones we've noticed a couple points where the music seems to be quite loud while you're speaking, and we've found it a bit distracting from what you're saying, which is a bummer because we'd like to hear what you're saying :) Just wanted to give you a heads up, but otherwise the videos are lovely and it's fun to see you exploring different places and such! I hope you had a nice trip!
Maybee for one the next vlogs we could all help you re-organize your bedroom.Give us the dimensions, a plan where door and window are, height and width of walls and we can propose solutions. By the look of your bedroom door , you seem to need more wardrobe space....HELLO IKEA!!!!

There is a pancake machine at the holiday inn in Farnborough. I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same as you mean but it’s pretty cool. Their breakfasts are insane.

Those pj’s look beautiful. Extra pants and socks a must in my book. You may be caught out by your time of the month. You might get caught in heavy rain and get wet feet. You would need shoes as well. If you are walking lots, two pairs of socks worn at the same time can help prevent or cushion blisters.

I loves this!! Actually I love all of your videos. This is the first comment I’ve made on one ☺️ I WISH that I had London just up the road from me… but alas I am in New Zealand! I love seeing TH-camrs like you because I feel like you’re so relatable! I find a lot of content so out of reach and unrealistic these days. It’s nice to see an account that doesn’t constantly contain a $1000 skincare and makeup routine at the beginning of each video (ofc I still watch those haha.) I stayed at The Corner, London city in Whitechapel and I am so sure they had the pancake machine you’re talking about! It’s also part of the travel sustainable programme which is pretty cool!
If something gives you comfort then is not excessive 💖

I've stayed at the Resident Kensington x 2, its perfect for solo travelers. Agree, staff very nice & helpful.

What lovely pajamas, Grace. Maybe you should have snuggled into that duvet until 11, and then gone breakfast hunting! Bring a few morning snacks for your next hotel, if it doesn't have food. So disappointing when they don't! I'd like to see you make a Delia Smith Christmas cake. She has several to choose from.

How did it get such good reviews when it doesn't have a breakfast buffet? What the heck? Do they not know that you're coming? 😔
I haven't finished so this might be pointless but no buffet doesn't mean no bfast, I mean just a la carte I thought...more common after covid
Oops watched the rest and yeah, well maybe they had a restaurant but not open for bfast? Lol
I'm guessing because you get a kitchen area, their intention is that you make your own breakfast. Which is a nice option, but sometimes you want some sort of provided breakfast (either buffet or cook to order).

Kitchenette! Best thing ever. I’ve never found a hotel room with that.
I always pack extra knickers and socks 😆. I’ve needed the extra socks a few times when I’ve got my feet wet but the knickers thing is just psychological 😆

I’m pretty sure all holiday inns have pancake machines. I’ve stayed at the Guildford one before when I went to London with my family, and that one has a pool and gym as well.
I have tried a pancake machine in a Holiday Inn...very underwhelming pancakes to eat but fun to make.
Should have gone to Abuelo in Covent Garden for Breakfast- the best best place for brunch !

£270 for the cheapest night! Think I'll stick with Premier Inn as the room is pretty much the same and at least you can get a decent breakfast.

I actually did turtle fall with my sixth grade camp backpack carrying all our sandwiches!😮 I was lighter than the backpack and yet the teachers thought I should have a turn.😂 About the showering - I'm in California and most of the people and family I know shower at night. Is it a US thing?

What makes something a 4 star hotel?
Novotel Paddington has that pancake machine 🥞 I didn't enjoy them though. Tasted like cardboard 😳🤣 but the rest of their breakfast buffet is superb!!
Hi Grace, I’m sure you’ll never see this, but you once posted a video, and in it, for a small clip, you showed some bath things from homesense that you said you loved….I can’t find the video (it was probably over 2 years ago) and I’ve always wanted to try whatever they were from that video but there isn’t one local to me…..well now there is!!! Please please please tell me what they were, I’d be forever grateful. I have a feeling they changed the bath colour, but I could be wrong ❤❤

I love your vlogs so much, but I'm getting annoyed at the number of times I have to stop to read the captions. I'm a quick reader and with all the stopping and starting it ruins the flow and makes the videos twice as long to watch. I don't know the solution .. as annoyed as I am I'll still watch :D

Hi, for a non-Brit can someone explain the difference between "chuffed" and "faffed" lol thanks
Chuffed is like happy/excited. "I'm so chuffed they had my favourite dessert on the menu". Faffed is either "I faffed about" - "I wasted time/had little purpose" or "faffed" can be used for "I can't be bothered" usually a polite expression instead of swearing/cussing.

Prices quoted are nearly all for standard rooms, it's nr £300 for a 1 night stay in a superior double so it's not value for money .

Ok ya'll tell the American what the heck is a "flannel" ?? It's in the bathroom apparently, we have hand towels, bathe towels, and wash cloths lol 😆 flannels here are shirts and pajamas lol 😆

Ah! I have the same bag (but grey) and I never stop blabbing on about it to anyone that listens. You can also stick a long side strap on and it turns into a kinda duffel bag? Its main problem is that its huge and I overfill it, and am somehow grumpy and overtired. So I've recently developed the weak back of a pensioner and migrated onto to angry wheely suitcase lady who cant steer.

Having grown up in a big town and lived in two big cities for uni, I feel safer walking around at night in big cities, well-lit, busier roads, people around if something were to happen

@@sophiamonet7350 she did. I don't know the proper thing to call it but it was a very thorough baking course. I believe she started the TH-cam thing on a whim, and it kind of escaped its pen and took off running, I think....
social media and youtube but i’m sure she also volunteers at a school quite regularly. used to help/volunteer at her youth group/church group- not sure if she still does that :)
