Everybody saying how it's great Buddy can hang with greats such as Beck and Richards need to realize that both of those guys were influenced by this guy. I find it impressive that they can hang with him.
@James Price -- Jeff Beck can hang with anyone. Buddy Guy's a great blues guitarist, but Beck is second only to Jimi Hendrix. He was one of the revolutionary rock guitarists, with more technique than Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page or Ritchie Blackmore, great guitarists in their own right. John McLaughlin's about his only 'peer' but McLaughlin didn't start getting recorded until years after Beck appeared on the scene, when some Graham Bond sessions were taped. Beck started out in the psycho-rock arena with the Yardbirds, moved into heavy rock with the first Jeff Beck Group and BBA, then explored fusion paths for years - I love Buddy Guy, but Beck's legacy is far greater.
I would bet they love playing with him. I have seen Buddy live, every bit as impressive as he is here and he seems like a hell of nice guy as well. This whole album has been added to my Buddy Guy Playlist, all good stuff on this one 👍
Growing up on the South Side of Chicago in the 70's I took full advantage of Buddy Guy's Legends when it opened up. I was there the night after Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray came in after playing on their Fire And Ice Tour. The three Legends got up and jammed and I could have died that night and been satisfied. Buddy Rocked, Jeff Shocked, and ol Stevie Ray may as well have set a torch to the building, because when he was done, the roof was GONE! He blew it off of the building. Both Jeff and Buddy were even stunned. What a night. Long live the Blues and its Baby, Rock and Roll!
I love this song so much. It shows how a guitar is a person's voice. When Buddy says, "Cmon Keith," or "How about you, Beck?" They start singing with their guitars. It's beautiful. They talk with their sounds.
Buddy mentions Muddy often. Glad I have seen both live. Muddy opened for Eric Clapton in 81, Tuscaloosa, AL.. great show by Muddy. On his back and stomach across the stage playing guitar the whole time at his age.. I think he could play in a tornado! Poor Eric was having some issues at the time but great to see them both on the same stage. This combo of Buddy, Jeff and Kieth made me think of John Mayall's "White Boy Blues" album with Clapton, Beck and Page.
I haven't seen Buddy but I did see Muddy Waters and I was in the front row at a small college in Michigan sometime in the 70's. He was fabulous. I also think Jeff Beck's "Sugar Cane" is one of the sexiest songs I ever heard. And Keith is Keith Richards for god's sake--no other comment needed. I'm here listening to all the songs on this new album mainly 'cause of James Bay's input which I adore. And Buddy sounds superb so I do believe I will BUY THIS CD!!!!
Who the hell could or would give Buddy Guy a thumbs down? You must not like the blues. This man is an icon among icons. Ya'll worship Jimmi. Jimmi worshipped him! Recognize! Buddy Guy is the man! A living legend and one of the few left.. Respect it...
If you don't know... Jeff Beck is 74 (SEVENTY FOUR) as he shreds this! I know Buddy and Kieth are also ancient but can you name anyone else who rips like this at 74?!
I saw Buddy Guy play live (often with Junior Walker) at Blues clubs here in Chicago at least a dozen times in the 1980s. He was absolutely SOUSED on Cognac each and every time. Played great of course, but forgot the words at some point during every song. "Sheee." That didn't bother no one. He just grinned and we all understood that it was part of the experience.
YES SIR! This is the ONE AND ONLY! One a the last great bluesmen left in this world. You listen up young blood. This is THE heart of everything we listen to today.
I randomly listened to this on Alexa and was really impressed. So I looked for it on youtube and discovered who played guitar for him. No wonder I was impressed.
Haha! No way! The exact same thing happened to me! I always knew Buddy Guy was huge in Blues but tbh, I didn't really know any of his music. When I heard this, I totally stopped what I was doing and was like, THIS is Buddy Guy?! No wonder he's huge! Then I looked it up and realised all the shredding was actually Jeff Beck haha
First timeI saw Buddy Guy was at Rockefellers in Houston. Took a rock fan who was a big Ted Nugent and Bob Seeger fan, but didn't know roots music. What Buddy Guy unleashed with Junior Wells thar night left his eyes as big as a frying pan. He just didn't know, but he knows now.
I have seen Buddy Guy in small venues at least 5 times over this last 10 years...he is still as amazing, intense, and soulful as ever. I would die for a Buddy Guy!
Looking back at all the shows I've been to Buddy Guy is the one im most proud to have seen. Saw him a few times at a small local blues festival and his live performances inspired me more than any other musician; He is a master showman and can see why Hendrix was inspired by him so much. I've also seen Clapton,Buckethead, Rush live but Buddy easily tops them all for me.
Buddy Guys voice feels (not only sounds) like a force of nature to me anytime ... this great gathering of stringers only is proof .. there is a clip on Champagne & Reefer with the Stones . he really sounds and appears like a magic snakedoctor in it :)
Beck Cetera i did last night, It was beautiful. The realest blues experience on could possibly have, I watched Buddy Guy himself sing about cognac live.
Here on the Kwa Zulu Natal South Coast I am enjoying a shot of Drambuie a shot of Black and White Scotch and Schweppes ginger ale whilst listening to this awesome Blues from Buddy and friends
buddy guy is the modern day Muddy waters in my eye's not to compare but the people buddy has influenced speaks for its self cheers Buddy for keeping the blues in motion !
What a great album!! Shared it of FB to all my friends, many of whom luv the blues! Glad I got to see Buddy Guy live once. Johnny Lang opened that time.
Uh, it's actually pretty brave of Beck to stand on the same stage with Buddy Guy -- you know, the man who most inspired Jimi Hendrix, whom Hendrix tried to emulate; the man that Clapton called "the best living guitar player we have, bar none"?
Jimi couldn't hold a candle to Frank Zappa .In fact none of them can. Btw Steve Vai played backup for Zappa :) check out the track occams razor th-cam.com/video/dp93bcp4HCM/w-d-xo.html
Rob Summers What are you 12 alot of becks Great Sound is equipment Buddy and Keith started playing didn't have that shit ...Give me a while I CAN PLAY AS GOOD AS JEFF EASY...NO COMPARISON WITH BUDDY N KEITH
Still as relevant as ever, Guy is and always has been saturated 100% in the blues. Great to hear Beck back in the roots and Keef chopping it up without the restraints of a band situation.

Amen Brother!!!
James Price yes indeed influenced me and you too surely

Jeff would tell you completely otherwise, friend. I know - I've stood 4 feet away from him and he told me so.

What a night.
Long live the Blues and its Baby, Rock and Roll!
That's incredible! I'm so jelous!
Now, this is some real f*cking music right here
Buddy is the last of the Original Old School blues men. The heaviest, sweetest tone of all. It's good to see him getting his props.
Love me some Buddy Buddy!🎸
@KickAzz_NakedChickz Thanks for the recommendation, man. That guy is a treasure!
I love this song so much. It shows how a guitar is a person's voice. When Buddy says, "Cmon Keith," or "How about you, Beck?" They start singing with their guitars. It's beautiful. They talk with their sounds.
This isn't music, this is MAGIC! Long Live The Blues!
Buddy Guy is 81 and STILL smokin'! MAN!
DuckTalesWooHoo1987 smoking??? He burn in down hell!😂

What can you say about Buddy Guy. To have Jeff Beck and Keith Richards play with him it doesn't get any better than that.
Couldn't agree more!!! So glad I've been able to enjoy their talents all my life.
Good god Beck is out of this world.
Sasmitha Waidyatilleke ....
Jeff Beck is a descendant of some Teutonic King
Sasmitha Waidyatilleke absolutely stupid how good he is ...he gets better the older he gets he ain't lost a step
I saw him live two weeks ago in a lovely venue near my home in Copenhagen - it's an experience that I shall treasure as long as I live.
That he is!!
Who the hell could or would give Buddy Guy a thumbs down? You must not like the blues. This man is an icon among icons. Ya'll worship Jimmi. Jimmi worshipped him! Recognize! Buddy Guy is the man! A living legend and one of the few left.. Respect it...
Epic Tune About An Awesome Beverage.
If you don't know... Jeff Beck is 74 (SEVENTY FOUR) as he shreds this! I know Buddy and Kieth are also ancient but can you name anyone else who rips like this at 74?!
RIP Jeff Beck, I love this tune, and I can tell that these guitar slingers loved performing together!

Untouchable

Love you Buddy
Your right brother
RIP Jeff Beck

Still though, Buddy has some impressive pipes on this song. He's 79 singing this!
@@ciaranw520 Nope. He's 84 now and still touring.
Folks, Buddy can bring the house down without any help. th-cam.com/video/5p26B2X_79g/w-d-xo.html
You know when it’s Beck just by the touch and the phrasing.
Three legends, great respect.
You could also tell from the showing off factor.
Trop fort une super musique 🎶 cool 😎
😮if this doesn't move you, something must be wrong! Love the blues especially when featuring Buddy Guy!
Happy Birthday Buddy Guy! when I get home from work I'm going to have a cognac to celebrate with you!
Yes sir!! Absolutely brilliant!! You will always be my all time favorite blues musician! 💗
Just bought this vinyl the other day. Might be one of my new favorites!
Three guitar legends...Keef forever!!!
Extraordinario Jeff Beck
keith and buddy , dam it don't get better than that
the last blues legend alive.. THE LAST..
pinetop perkins is still going and he is a blues piano legend
@@lolsilverfoxjohnson6151 pinetop died in 2011
Everytime Buddy says "Lookie Here", in any song he does, my smile rivals his big ol' grin, cause I know he's about to rip. And rip it he does!
Hendrix was religiously listening to buddy in concert immersed discreetly in the crowd. That says it all
I have seen Buddy Guy in small venues at least 5 times over this last 10 years...he is still as amazing, intense, and soulful as ever. I would die for a Buddy Guy!

I've seen him twice, and I see him again in April! What a genuine and personable man.
And then there was ONE! Long live Buddy Guy!!!
Buddy Guy is such a blues legend! He gets better with age!
Three legends! Awesome!
Dwayne Wladyka Jeff Beck is still as good as ever
Don Ingram I completely agree with you there.
The blues is most definitely alive and well in this tune!
Jeff's sound is very recognizable here.
This is some good Coney-ack
Isn’t this a Great song, lots of fun. I only wish there was a video with Keith Richards and Jeff Beck to with it. Could that happen?
Can't beat the Blues...... Happy 30th Birthday to my Beautiful Daughter Amber, Love you baby girl xxx
Dommage que notre Jeff n'est plus là pour nous faire partager des moments aussi insolites 😢 avec des dieux vivants
put this song on in a dark room with good speakers and damn, that's amazing
Would LOVE to see this in concert
Beck Cetera
i did last night,
It was beautiful.
The realest blues experience on could possibly have,
I watched Buddy Guy himself sing about cognac live.
Awesome! Blues is the Best
Holy mother of god this is Pure Blues and Beck is awesome too listen too. Keith is a legend as well😄😄😄🤣
Damn Jeff Beck still sounds like the most unique guitar player on earth. And that rage licks ... meanwhile Keith sounds sedate
by sedate hope you mean "calm, dignified, and unhurried..." Keith has never been a Beck or Clapton nor did he want to be. :)
@@stonz82 well said, very different styles.
perfect solid Rockblues played by three guitar Heroes !!!
how amazing this would sound if it were on vinyl!! -- how much more amazing, I should say.
Here on the Kwa Zulu Natal South Coast I am enjoying a shot of Drambuie a shot of Black and White Scotch and Schweppes ginger ale whilst listening to this awesome Blues from Buddy and friends

It’s pretty brave to even strap a guitar on in the presence of Jeff Beck - he’s on another level to everyone ✌🏻🎸🎶

FANTASTIC SESSION! !!!!!!😍😍😍
Hell yeah, this is pure and rich, smooth as honey.
Buddy could read The labels off at old soup can , and with his voice and his guitar turn it in to gold
Still as relevant as ever, Guy is and always has been saturated 100% in the blues. Great to hear Beck back in the roots and Keef chopping it up without the restraints of a band situation.
