I just purchased the new Hobie Pro Angler IKE Edition or I would have already got the Lynx. I’ll be getting the Lynx this coming Spring. I told my wife it’s for her….. yeah, right! Lol This is an awesome looking fishing kayak that is light and fast ! Got to have one !
I wish you guys would give discounts for buying multiple. I will be ordering 4 of these Kayaks very soon. Going to sell my 2020 Outback and 2019 Compass.
I just snagged an H-rail kit! I was wondering if you seen any damage to the hull from the rear mounting point? There are a few videos about this and one company is selling spacers to put in there that they say mitigate this damage. Do you think the spacers are necessary?
I feel like once you add on all of these you are at the same weight as say a compass or passport. Maybe not but seems like it. Also the price by the time you do all of that your at the price of a outback or PA. I do like that it is light weight but I feel like it lacks at the price point but oh do I want one!
I thoroughly enjoy fishing from my new Hobie Lynx. It is relatively light-weight, stable and manurable in shallow water. I look forward to the upcoming accessories for it. Will there be a way to attach my Amas outriggers to sail it?
I would love to get one however, there is only one dealer in Okinawa Japan and the price is 458,700 yen! + shipping . The dealer related that Hobie ships them to Australia and then to Okinawa jacking up the price! Why can't you ship them directly to Japan making the price more affordable? Better still, I think Hobie could deal directly with our Navy store here in Sasebo Japan to cut out all those import taxes etc.
I think I would throw some plastic weld between the H rail and the rear screw entry. Looks like a weak point since it is making its thread into plastic
What is the part number or length for the Lynx accessory is being installed in this video? My two Hobie Lynx were just delivered I'm looking forward to adding this accessory when they are available.
Let us check back and see what would bee to be done to have this fit on either or both of the Passport models. The front should fit great in the track of the Passport 12 but you could through bolt or use a well nut for the back.
This H rail pulls the insert up and damages hull when you tighten parker screws makes a ring wound ! You will have to buy a aftermarket washer to mount under 90* bracket and hope it doesn't pull-up! Bad H Rail mounting design by Hobie and plus Hobie won't cover damage. I would run without this H Rail.
I just bought two these and I think they're great, but Hobie should reply to the questions about the PLASTIC THREAD attachment at the rear of the H rail. Sorry for yelling but the people who designed this should be re-trained in both engineering and common sense! A plastic thread securing an H rail with it's associated loads? Seriously Hobie?
The lynx is great until you spend 2700 dollars on something and 2 months later you are repairing the hull. Learn from my mistake and don't buy this kayak.

Can anyone tell me how long these are from mounting hole to mounting hole please? Going to retro fit them to my kayak if they're long enough.

Great video but essentially worthless as Hobie still does not have the H-Rails in dealer stores - at least not East coast.
