Great explanation! Thanks for the time given in between steps for us to catch up with less pressure. Side note, this is harder with yarn, but still doable.
Thank you so much. It was really easy to follow and I could do it in a few minutes. I bought matching Necklaces for my sister's, mum, and me, and mine wasn't tied like this by the lady who sold it. I'm just so glad i will be able to adjust it now. I will be sending this video to my fam. Thank you... really grateful
This is the easiest tutorial to follow to make a sliding knot. Watched a few American ones, but what a faff. Good old Brit making it simple and easy. Thank you. 🥰🏴
Thanks for making this simple and for making sure we can see what you’re doing. I used a very thin waxed linen and added more loops before tightening, and that worked as well.
TY so much! I've never been able to tie these knots before. I have learning disabilities that make the translation of learning from watching hard. I was able to use these knots to secure my son's ashes around my neck! Thank you!!!
Thank you for making this! I’ve been trying to get the hang of this technique for ages and this was the only tutorial that I was actually able to follow and do successfully right away! It was so clear and concise!
This was the best video I have seen so far. Thank you for going slow and explaining as you go, it made it so easy this way and this is also the best way of making the knot.
You are the best! Thank you so much for this simple tutorial. One of the knots on a necklace of mine came undone and I was able to fix it super quick 🙌
When my necklace (that I bought) came untied I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to put it back together again, but this video made it so easy to fix, thank you so much!!
Thanks very much for sharing. I tried following 2 examples yesterday - no chance, lol. Yours was by far the easiest to follow. I am now one very happy chappy that my necklace is complete :)
Thank you so much. I have tried to watch several videos and they go way too fast and are not descriptive enough. You explain this so well for the very first time was able to do this on a necklace that is sometimes way too long so thank you so much
thank you! I always get a skin reaction to metal chains (it's not a nickle allergy, it could be 24k gold and it will still happen) so I'm working on moving my necklace collection to ribbon and cords which do not irritate my skin. This technique is huge help and this video was super easy to follow.
Thank you! I was gifted a handmade lava rock necklace and undid the ties and tied it on myself like I would tie a shoe lmaooooo This was very helpful and my necklace looks nice
I'm very curious if the same technique works for leather crowns because tomorrow I'm going to be getting two of them from Amazon and they have the same type of strap that you mentioned I have no idea how to tie it i hope this video works out for me when I get my viking crown 👑
Aw thanks! Hmm, I haven't tried but I don't think it would work well. The reason this knot works with suede is because suede cord is so grippy. I think any smooth/slippy cord would come undone quite easily.
i might be seeing the image wrong but how do you get the cord in the first image to be double (two threads idk how to explain) on each side rather than one thread on one side? Sorry I'm bad at explaining
Sorry for the late reply...I think you would need roughly 30 cm more cord than you want the finished necklace to be. You can always cut off excess at the end. It does kind of depend though how adjustable you want your necklace to be :)
My motor skills are horrible and I'm really bad with knots. You've explained this in such a clear, concise way! Thank you.
Aw thanks :) Glad you found it helpful
Finally someone who actually shows you slow enough to see what they’re doing. Managed to fix my necklace - thank you :-) xx
Excellent :D
A very clear tutorial with no distracting music or making it harder than it has to be, thank you very much
Maybe it’s a me problem but I watched so many videos and this was the only one I could follow instantly. Thank you!
Aw thanks :) I'm glad it was useful
Thank you! Fantastic!
Glad you liked it!
Great explanation! Thanks for the time given in between steps for us to catch up with less pressure.
Side note, this is harder with yarn, but still doable.
Beautiful, clear explanation and demonstration. Couldn't be better.
Aw thanks! Glad it was helpful!
As always thank you for your clear and easy explanation of the process.
Thank you :)

Straight to the point. Easy peasy. The American ones are too much faffin around and make it complicate. Good old Brit does it simple and easy.

Awesome!
@@RokoleeDIY No, you're awesome!

Thanks a lot for this nice and clear video🤔
Thank you :D
Badass. Made a cow toot necklace thanks
This was an excellent tutorial! Thank you! Would it also work well with acrylic or cotton yarn, or no?
Aw thanks!
Hmm, I haven't tried but I don't think it would work well. The reason this knot works with suede is because suede cord is so grippy. I think any smooth/slippy cord would come undone quite easily.
Thank you ❤
Thank You.
Really awesome...you just saved 5yrs of misery. Thanks hun
What do yo do with the extra cord after you tighten it arounhd your wrist or neck?
It just hangs there...the cord is stiff enough that it stays lined up with the bracelet or necklace so it still looks tidy :)
Multumesc ❤❤❤
Thank you for this. I watched way too many amid didn't get it. 😅
Ha glad you found it useful!
i might be seeing the image wrong but how do you get the cord in the first image to be double (two threads idk how to explain) on each side rather than one thread on one side? Sorry I'm bad at explaining
Sorry I don't really follow the question :(
So how much longer than you want the necklace to hang?
Sorry for the late reply...I think you would need roughly 30 cm more cord than you want the finished necklace to be. You can always cut off excess at the end.
It does kind of depend though how adjustable you want your necklace to be :)
Is them double fisherman’s knot ?
I'm not sure if these knots have another name, sorry
