Thank you so much! I had to watch your loop a few times, because I was confused by other videos. I’m so glad I found this one! Finally made an actual sliding knot!!
idk if other countries have this, but in Sweden we have sewing class as part of the school curriculum and my teacher showed us this video to remind us of this knot when we were making clothes and jewelry
Wonderful video!! Had a souvenir necklace from a museum that got tangled and had the sliding mechanism on the string ruined years ago, and just fixed it today with no problems.
Omg thank you!!! I have watched 5 other videos abd either it ties a knot that wont move or the loops just fall apart. I love your trick i even just used a wide craft stick ans a metal hair clip but it made the knot tieing easy as pie with your tieing instructions. Thank you your awesome!
It's essentially knotting one cord over the other twice, but switching cords for each side. It took a couple of attempts when I first tried it but you get there with a bit of practice...
It depends on the drop you want for your necklace. I'd measure the required length of necklace, plus at least an extra foot to make it adjustable (and to fit over the head). If in doubt, it's always better to add extra the first time because then at least you can trim to the correct fit, but you can't add it on once you've cut it. HTH
This does help but it was a little difficult to tell which piece you were working with at certain points. It’d be nice to have it slower and have the exact pieces you’re working with pointed out.
Tried 4 other videos, but this was the best ! Success ! Board was the key !
Perfect for me! Fingers don’t work as well as they used to...and this made it soooo easy! Thank you!

Would this work with braided embroidery floss necklaces
Tbh I haven't tried so I'm not sure. I think it wouldn't slide as smoothly, but it might still work.

I'm having trouble with this, though you've been thorough in explaining it.
