One of my favorite outros of all time…theyre all phenomenal musicians but John Frusciante’s guitar is brilliant. The production of this album is top notch. The producer allowed the music shine on it’s own, and brought all the elements together without restricting the creativity and expression at all. Still one of my favorite albums.
The main reason I listen to this song is because of the outro probably my favourite outro of any song. And skipping a song like that at the end is like watching a movie then turning it off before you see the last twenty minutes.
Best album they recorded - also check Breaking The Girl, Could Have Lied, Apache Rose Peacock...so many good songs on it - i'd also recommend going back to the album before this, Mother's Milk, and checking out Magic Johnson, Take The Pain and Knock Me Down :)

I was a teen at the time. Songs like this were not released as singles for radio and MTV. Remember this is pre streaming, back when people would smoke a lil weed and listen to the whole album. So even though the song was not on radio it still got heard and of course would end up being an underground hit, adored by true fans.
The question really should be whether you listen to the REST of the song or just the outro. I mean, the answer is still yes, but the ending is the best part.
I ALWAYS listen to the instrumental ending all the way through, and sometimes skip straight to it because it’s one of the best pieces of music ever created.

I'll listen to an entire album from start to finish, if it's well assembled each song will flow into the next or at lease be laid out in a cohesive arrangement, which tells a musical story, an experience. If you have to skip a bunch of songs it's probably not a solid project. Although nowadays people's attention is short most modern songs have cut extended intros and outros, a lack of musical appreciation really.
The end of that song is one of the best pieces of music ever...
