Clay, I spent many years fishing in the Key Largo area. Try this technique. Using twenty pound spinning tackle attach a 2, 3, or 4 ounce white buck tail jig with four feet of 60 pound test leader. Tie the leader with a Bimini twist, Albright knot and loop knot to jig, no swivels. Open the eye of two 7 O mustard hooks and attach to jig in tandem. Use a ten or so inch ballyhoo that you have de crapped and flexed so that it swims. Put the jig hook through the jaw from chin coming out at the head between the eye sockets. Remove eyeballs to keep rig from twirling. Bury trailing hooks in belly. Fish one third of the way north of the Elbow toward Carysfort. Cast the rig in the direction of your drift, usually northward, as the rig sinks to the bottom your boat will float over the rig so that it is straight down. Sweep your bait upwards for two or three times drop down again then reel up. Fish the drop off from135’to 160’ . The weight of the jig depends on the speed of the current. Lighter jigs have better action. Good luck!

I just got back from Islamorada and the fishing was great cot 6 Mahi and 1 tuna I was hope I would see y'all at the sand bar or alligator reef angler eddies and hog heaven all the places y'all recommend it was awesome to go there I am a big fan of y'all

A couple of years ago my wife and I were snorkeling down in Key West, we were in the water for about 10 minutes when a Nurse Shark bit my wife on her butt. It grabbed her held on a bit and let go. Scary! She hasn't been in for snorkeling since. She likes the pool! Sad but true, scared her big time!
