Did you look at the amp sidesteps cuz I noticed they have them but they're about $1,500 versus $999. Are you glad they got these or do you wish you got the others. Are they low enough. I have a 4in lift kit with 35s.
About how long did the install take?….looks very simple…just ordered some and was gonna let a shop do it but this is an easy install watching your video
when you unlock your truck with keyfob does both sides come down? i had mine installed today and only the driver side comes down when i click the keyfob. the passenger side comes down but only when a passenger side door opens
Mine are new. I have not checked the key fob. It is enough, for me, that opening the front or back door on one side causes that side to come down. The biggest thing for me is that opening the door, and hearing the slight “thunk” causes me to look to make sure I haven’t opened the tailgate.
Just installed mine but didn't work I did all wires right as shown Also little box just has a red light that flashes on the L side when I unplug it and plug it a green light come to R and then goes off again but still nothing works
Steps are not plug and play I purchased these steps for my trx They had so much wiring Had to make additional holes to my truck and there are sensors running to the inside of my doors now quick looks horrible Do not buy these steps
Rough Country has a new version that requires drilling and has sensors on each door to tell when they are open/closed and does not hook into obd port. They just came out with them in 2023. Maybe you got the new version?
I like that the rough country steps don’t fight gravity like another brand out there. 👍 look nice!
Thanks! I feel like these would hold up a lot better
Excellent!!, Gotta' gettem'
Will these work with a body lift?
Should work just fine
Excellent content
Great video nice install
What do you think of them now that you have had them awhile ?

They may not seem like it, but they’re plenty low enough
Are they quiet? The factory electric running boards are noticeably loud.
I think they’re quiet, I can hear them when the truck is off but its not obnoxious.
Where did you put the on/off valet switch? Trying to figure out the best location to put mines!
I guess I never realized that was an option, I didn’t put one on.
@@9NailzGarage Mine is next to the ODBII, valet is to prevent them from extending (like if you are rock crawling and open the door for a better view)
How far down from the door sill is the top of the step tread?
Alright you sold me on it and I have those same rims ha.
Nice!
Question what if they shudder when you close the door? Do I need to adjust the boards?
Great video
Thank you!
Are the steps activated by magnets in the door jams and doors
Yes, exactly
@@barrycone2106 i went with Amp Research and I like them Alot. Plug and play is the way to go.

The install isn’t bad at all, took about 3 hours start to finish, that’s including filming
Can these go on a Chevy 1500??
I believe they make a set for the Chevys, check them out
The passenger front side of my steps is lower then the rear I need help any suggestions please
Should be able to adjust them, if you’re still having trouble I’d contact customer support, they’re usually pretty good
Are the ends removable? It looks like they are. They only have them for crew cab but I want to trim for my double cab
I haven’t taken them off but they do look like they’re removable.
Thanks!!
Will they somewhat serve as Rick sliders as I go four wheeling
Probably not
Freaking awesome
They really are nice! Thanks for watching!

I’d double check to make sure it’s plugged into the correct terminal under the dash
Mine did the same I emailed RC they said that’s how they’re programmed

It doesn't go down enough.
They actually extend more than it looks, they work great

I wore it, it was the same, what did you do
Maybe contact Rough Country and see if they can help?
About how much did you pay for the steps?
I believe they were about $1100
Rock sliders
I wouldn’t recommend it lol I’m pretty sure they’re aluminum
