We traveled from Tennessee, US to London just to hear Lucy and were so glad that we did! Hope that you did. Lucy was brilliant! She sang on all but three of the 24 songs (she had two guest artists) for 2.5 hours with just a brief interval break. Her singing was far better than anything that has been released of her before. My daughter has vocal training and says that not a single note was off pitch the entire night. Lucy sang with more confidence, power, softness, tenderness, and emotion than any singer that I have ever heard and I am 70. She was far better than live than in recordings and her recordings are the best that I have ever heard. She should be on the radio as she can sing popular tunes as well as the big show tunes. You are lucky to have her in Brittain as we would love to have her in the US. One day she will be known as the best singer in the 21st century. You might wish to see what critic Jeremy Chapman said about her in the Musical Theatre Review. Please check it out and continue to support Lucy Thomas.

Hello PB1, thank you for your wonderful reaction to Lucy singing " I Dream A Dreamed " Lucy Thomas is one of the greatest singers of this generation, when this young lady sings her passion her emotions her beautiful voice her tone she is pitch perfect & flawless, she is just so amazing & now the world audience's are starting to realize to see this. Lucy has just got back from a concert in Tokyo she had a 3 minute standing ovation at the end of her concert she even sang one song in Japanese to which the audience truly appreciated. In two weeks time she will be appearing in the Drury Lane theatre in London for an evening of singing famous songs from all the great shows of the past & also she will be singing songs from her new musical " Rosie " these songs are just so exceptionally good. Take care Barbara.

Hi BP1...Really nice to see you now have the kind of appreciation that Lucy deserves. You selected the word "flawless" for Lucy's version of this. Well I agree 100% that indeed it is flawless but even more then that. It is loaded with expression and emotion that is heart churning. That is what great singing is all about and here, Lucy is on top of the heap. I am at a different opinion with your rating of the others that you mention. At best they are 9.99. There is no-one that compares to Lucy. She has always been in a class of her own and always will be. For me to go to her upcoming concert would be a dream come true but alas, that will not be.

Appreciation of music will always be subjective. There are some musical genres that I find distasteful which are the favorites of other people. There are multiple subjects on which you will not find consensus. That being said, Lucy Thomas has the most beautiful voice that I have ever heard and she is only 20 years old. She has amazing vocal control, a beautiful tone, and as you said perfect pitch. In my world, there are a few 9.99's but Lucy Thomas is the only perfect 10. BP1, you have a great reaction to Lucy Thomas. You have every right to be proud of her.

  • @JaapFilius

In her genre Lucy is one of the best, if not THE best. And the lucky part of it: I love this genre. And I think we can say the same about Angelina Jordan (you mentioned her name): she also is one of the best, if not THE best, in her genre. They are so different, but isn't that the charme of music? There is always a piece of music we like, no matter what genre we love.

Hey BP1. I have to admit that I really don’t care for this song. The story behind it is just so sad. I just can’t get the tragical story out of my head. Now Lucy did a magnificent performance with this song. Lucy never ever disappoints. I have followed her for over four years now. What we are witnessing is a for real not just hipe, superstar in the making. We just have to get her music out to the public more. If you would like to listen to another one of the best from her try “Evergreen”. It’s a Barbra Streisand hit from back in the day. It was no.1 hit two years running. You will like it. Stay safe, healthy, and free.

There were people from Australia, New Zealand, and Japan that I met and believe other countries as well. This is not a criticism of you but rather for others to know that Lucy drew from very far away. In a few years, one will be lucky to secure a ticket to hear her.

BP1, The very last phrase of this piece is a beautiful fantastic tearjerker. So amazing and yet sad. Her pitch was perfect and then her out-of-this-world vibrato comes in and at the very end she puts the "ed" part of dreamed. I'm out of superlatives. 😂😂

If there is anyway possible you really need to attend the concert on the 22nd. Lucy is even better in person. We were the organizer and producers for her concert in Japan. She won the hearts of the sold out event. She sang a well loved Japanese folk song in flawless Japanese. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. At the end she received a rousing standing ovation for around 2-3 minutes. Quite unusual in Japanese culture. She also sang with only a piano. No sound tracks. Just her marvelous voice and the piano. We will be traveling to London from Tokyo for this concert. I imagine the trip is a bit shorter for you. Hope to see you there.

    Great reaction BP1!
I'm glad to you are coming around to appreciate Lucy.
To be honest, in your earlier Lucy reactions, you're bottom lip out, nodding, "not bad" facial expressions were extremely disappointing to me. I know, of course you are entitled to your opinion.
But I have to admit you redeemed yourself when you gave Lucy's "UNCHAINED MELODY" a "BANGIN" score.
It's just MY opinion, but Lucy was already blossoming into a vocal super star with her earlier performances.
Now Lucy is beyond perfect. Now Lucy's voice is unmatched for clarity, purity, smoothness.
And now Lucy's voice is so rich is caresses the soul!

Why wouldn't you listen to her on you radio? The best vocal voice on the planet no matter the genre. All the others are just good singers. Lucy is great! You just haven't heard all of her music. She covers Whitney, Celine, Streisand and Gaga. And sings them better than the originals. Now I'm sure you think that's just my opinion. If that's the case, then check out her other music out yourself. Prove me wrong. she has 70 videos on her You tube channel. Take your pick. How about "All by Myself", Celine Dion version. And if you had a problem with "Foot Prints in the Sand" it was probably because of the religious connotations not her performance. That song can't be done any better and it is a great. As you say she is a Brit and you Brits need to be promoting her. Most of the reactors that promote Lucy are here in the US. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why. She doesn't just do musical numbers.

She needs more mainstream media exposure in the UK before she really takes off, since her time on The Voice as a kid she has had little or no prime time TV or Radio exposure, almost all of her modest success so far has come from her TH-cam channel.

We still remember the "Angelina's in a different league" comment. As I said then, you wouldn't know real talent if it hit you in the face. Lucy Thomas, even from her earliest efforts has been in a league all of her own.
