Always living what she is singing which touches each person as if she is singing only to you personally. Her skills are impeccable. Okay, if you want to be impressed further, then take a look at first, Lucy's rendition of "Hallelujah" recorded when she was sixteen. The producers of the movie "On a Wing and a Prayer" were so impressed, they used it in the final scene and credits. THEN have your mind blown with Lucy and her sister Martha performing "The Prayer" It's been said by many to be the best rendition of this classic song . I would agree.

You're right -- there is nothing Lucy cannot do and cannot sing. This is perfection, as are her other performances, and she never resorts to "fireworks" -- she never needs to.
Lucy has hundreds of covers on her page. Her cover of Hallelujah, at age 16 as I recall, is one of her most popular but her progress over the last couple years is truly impressive.
Lucy had her debut public performance at the Stoller Hall in Manchester in March. Sold out 450+ seat show, standing ovations nearly every song. Her sister even sang some duets with her (something you NEED to see on her channel is Lucy & Martha singing!). She has a concert in Tokyo in September 8, also sold out to about 800 folks. And, in October 22, she is doing a show at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London to a 2,000 seat audience, not yet sold out...but going quickly. This October show will showcase some of the Rosie the Musical songs that are her and Chris Broom (her producer) original songs for the upcoming musical in which she will star in as the lead. Even though she is better live, and I saw her at her debut concert in Manchester in March this year, she's not had the opportunity to do many live concerts as she had been concentrating on her education which she finished around 18 months ago. Although she has done quite a few charity events and even busking for charity in her home town when she was just 14. Lucy has even done a private concert for Sir Cliff Richards 81st birthday, a well known and loved pop star in the UK if you are unaware. Hello Aron, well you have found this amazing beautiful singer at last, Lucy is just 20 years old she has been trained singer since she was 7 years old, She was on the voice kids when she was 13 or 14 years old & reached the semi- final. She was signed up by Cavendish Records whose owner is Chris Broom who has written a new musical called " Rosie " which is to be released in a London Theatre early next year. In my humble opinion I think Lucy is the best young vocalist of her generation on the planet today. Lucy is world class and in a league of her own, as near to perfection as anyone can possibly be. Reactors do not need to waste their time comparing Lucy to other current singers. She is far ahead of the curve by miles and sets the bar very high for all the others.
More about her breath control. Notice in the first verse on the word "Mine". 3 steps: 1 Held long smooth tone, 2 she added vibrato, and 3 she went right onto the next phrase "ALL WITH ONE BREATH". Unbelievable if you don't actually witness it.
Several things about Lucy that you mentioned in your critique. First off, you said WOW!. Many reactors do that immediately. Because of her breath control she can complete words and sentences, she can hold long note and then add her fantastic vibrato. She also does what another reactor calls stretching notes. The factors add to a very smooth, silky feeling. You mentioned her wide open reach in her body language. Note how many times she brings her hands to her chest and even clenches a bit, pulling herself into the songs interpretation. Her renditions are chill, with goose bumps and are tear inducing. Also, most utter "WOW!" more than once. Reach back and check out her rendition of "EVERGREEN" along with one of her early ones "MEMORY" from Cats. That's enough for you to chew on for now.

You have great singers and great performers then you have Lucy exceptional singer and performer and only 20 years old. As someone into Jazz try her version of At Last Etta James would be smiling.
I am so glad you have finally found Lucy Thomas (she is 20). I follow her on TH-cam as long as I am following Angelina and I like them both equally as they are such good vocalists, each in their own way. As far as music goes I tend more to Lucy because her genre speaks more to me, but again: Angelina is as good as Lucy is. Lucy was runner up in "Voice Kids Britain" when she was 14 and she has released music videos ever since. She has also released CD's (including on-line) and she plays the main character in the musical Rosie which will have it's premiere this coming autumn. Last March Lucy had her first big concert in Manchester (UK), next September Lucy will give a concert in Japan and in October in Westend (London). So as Angelina is, Lucy is really starting up her career now. Lucy is not really a pop singer but more active as cross-over (a genre between classical and pop) and musical singer. But her voice.... such a pleasant warm sound. Her range and breath control are sublime. As with AJ, I am sure you will like almost any song from Lucy (sometimes a sister duet with Martha, who is not a solo singer) you will react on. Those sister duets are a treat: their voices are blending so, so beautifully.

I feel they are rightly considered to be at or near the top of their respective fields… and they do perform in different fields. So comparison is not easy and often not valid.

Please do not hesitate to play and react to some of Lucy's earlier performances at ages 14, and 15. They often get overlooked, even by the greatest reactors like you. There was a time when it was Celine Dion's time. There was a time when it was Whitney Houston's time (RIP)...she was taken way too soon. But now, and for a long time to come, it is Lucy Thomas' time. A-Aron, nice commentary! Yes, I've read a lot of the comments here and I see there are a few people who consistently come on either Lucy's performances on her site or other reaction sites and like to stir things up. Me personally? I've never heard or seen someone with these heavy, rich, deep, layered vocals like Lucy has. She traps air at the back of her throat and then releases it intermittently to give that layered effect! She blends both her chest and head vocals together using this technique, which is VERY unique in itself! If you truly want to compare Lucy to anyone, then please compare her to her idol, the GOAT herself, the legendary Barbra Streisand, who has more awards and accolades than all female performers combined! Lucy's vocals have already exceeded her idol's; Lucy is still growing into her vocals as she gets older so she has a long career ahead of her to befit the title of GOAT! I like going on Lucy's performances from her musical, "Rosie", because these are all ORIGINAL performances written for her by her fantastic producer of said musical, the great Chris Broom! There isn't any of this 'she said, he said' on these performances because NO ONE else has performed these on TH-cam Music, that I'm aware of.
Lucy Thomas was 14 when she first appeared on television, finishing as a semi-finalist on The Voice Kids in 2018. Afterwards, she was signed to Cavendish Records - a new label, named after prestigious scientist Henry Cavendish, that specializes in classical crossover and musical theatre. So far she has recorded 5 CD. Now 20 she had her 1st Concert from The Stoller Hall, Manchester this past March 5th where she performed 17 songs some are available on TH-cam. If you’re going to react to Lucy Thomas, please make sure the song hasn’t been pitch corrected, as this was. Usually this can be done by reacting to a live performance, but make sure it wasn’t corrected post production on TH-cam. All of her studio recordings are pitch corrected, as are 99% of all music produced these days. Billie Eilish is one of the few that doesn’t use pitch correction, her Bond song release No Time to Die and her Grammy winner What Was I Made For don’t utilize pitch correction in the studio recordings or autotune when she sings them live. Angelina Jordan is another artist who, so far, has never used pitch correction in her studio recordings or autotune while performing live. Lucy Thomas has a beautiful voice and actually sounds better when she hasn’t been pitch corrected. I’m surprised you couldn’t hear the pitch correction in this video, or maybe you could and just didn’t want to comment on it, which would be a good idea. Anyway, try not to react to studio recordings, there are many non pitch corrected songs of Lucy’s, where you can hear her natural, beautiful voice.
Without access to both the original recording and the post production track, one cannot determine how much if any pitch correction was added.you may believe that you heard pitch correction, but one sometimes hears what he wants to hear. A professional singer with exceptional breath control and acute pitch awareness can achieve near perfect accuracy, even on held notes.Categorical assessments are misleading and often wrong.
Who are you to tell people not to react to artists/songs that you think may be pitch corrected?? Per your words and logic - 99% of all music is pitch corrected - and you are telling others to "make sure" they don't react/listen to any of these songs? ie - don't react to 99% of the music out there. More about her breath control. Notice in the first verse on the word "Mine". 3 steps: 1 Held long smooth tone, 2 she added vibrato, and 3 she went right onto the next phrase "ALL WITH ONE BREATH". Unbelievable if you don't actually witness it.
Several things about Lucy that you mentioned in your critique. First off, you said WOW!. Many reactors do that immediately. Because of her breath control she can complete words and sentences, she can hold long note and then add her fantastic vibrato. She also does what another reactor calls stretching notes. The factors add to a very smooth, silky feeling. You mentioned her wide open reach in her body language. Note how many times she brings her hands to her chest and even clenches a bit, pulling herself into the songs interpretation. Her renditions are chill, with goose bumps and are tear inducing. Also, most utter "WOW!" more than once. Reach back and check out her rendition of "EVERGREEN" along with one of her early ones "MEMORY" from Cats. That's enough for you to chew on for now.

I am so glad you have finally found Lucy Thomas (she is 20). I follow her on TH-cam as long as I am following Angelina and I like them both equally as they are such good vocalists, each in their own way. As far as music goes I tend more to Lucy because her genre speaks more to me, but again: Angelina is as good as Lucy is. Lucy was runner up in "Voice Kids Britain" when she was 14 and she has released music videos ever since. She has also released CD's (including on-line) and she plays the main character in the musical Rosie which will have it's premiere this coming autumn. Last March Lucy had her first big concert in Manchester (UK), next September Lucy will give a concert in Japan and in October in Westend (London). So as Angelina is, Lucy is really starting up her career now. Lucy is not really a pop singer but more active as cross-over (a genre between classical and pop) and musical singer. But her voice.... such a pleasant warm sound. Her range and breath control are sublime. As with AJ, I am sure you will like almost any song from Lucy (sometimes a sister duet with Martha, who is not a solo singer) you will react on. Those sister duets are a treat: their voices are blending so, so beautifully.

Welcome. She got singing lessons from age 7. There are videos from age 9 or 10. She auditioned at 13 with a song called ‘One Day’ from the upcoming musical Rosie. This got her a record contract and the main role in this musical. 6 albums by now with Cavendish records, Chris Broom. 1st public concert March 5th this year (see Lucy Thomas live for 4 videos of the 17 she sang there). Next stop Tokyo Sep. 8th. Oct 22th she’ll be giving a concert in West End London.

Yes, I've read a lot of the comments here and I see there are a few people who consistently come on either Lucy's performances on her site or other reaction sites and like to stir things up. Me personally? I've never heard or seen someone with these heavy, rich, deep, layered vocals like Lucy has. She traps air at the back of her throat and then releases it intermittently to give that layered effect! She blends both her chest and head vocals together using this technique, which is VERY unique in itself! If you truly want to compare Lucy to anyone, then please compare her to her idol, the GOAT herself, the legendary Barbra Streisand, who has more awards and accolades than all female performers combined! Lucy's vocals have already exceeded her idol's; Lucy is still growing into her vocals as she gets older so she has a long career ahead of her to befit the title of GOAT! I like going on Lucy's performances from her musical, "Rosie", because these are all ORIGINAL performances written for her by her fantastic producer of said musical, the great Chris Broom! There isn't any of this 'she said, he said' on these performances because NO ONE else has performed these on TH-cam Music, that I'm aware of.
Lucy Thomas was 14 when she first appeared on television, finishing as a semi-finalist on The Voice Kids in 2018. Afterwards, she was signed to Cavendish Records - a new label, named after prestigious scientist Henry Cavendish, that specializes in classical crossover and musical theatre. So far she has recorded 5 CD. Now 20 she had her 1st Concert from The Stoller Hall, Manchester this past March 5th where she performed 17 songs some are available on TH-cam. If you’re going to react to Lucy Thomas, please make sure the song hasn’t been pitch corrected, as this was. Usually this can be done by reacting to a live performance, but make sure it wasn’t corrected post production on TH-cam. All of her studio recordings are pitch corrected, as are 99% of all music produced these days. Billie Eilish is one of the few that doesn’t use pitch correction, her Bond song release No Time to Die and her Grammy winner What Was I Made For don’t utilize pitch correction in the studio recordings or autotune when she sings them live. Angelina Jordan is another artist who, so far, has never used pitch correction in her studio recordings or autotune while performing live.
Lucy Thomas has a beautiful voice and actually sounds better when she hasn’t been pitch corrected. I’m surprised you couldn’t hear the pitch correction in this video, or maybe you could and just didn’t want to comment on it, which would be a good idea. Anyway, try not to react to studio recordings, there are many non pitch corrected songs of Lucy’s, where you can hear her natural, beautiful voice.

Per your words and logic - 99% of all music is pitch corrected - and you are telling others to "make sure" they don't react/listen to any of these songs? ie - don't react to 99% of the music out there.
