Ayanga is a classically trained musical theater actor and Mongolian folk singer. A singing/dancing/acting triple threat. Xila Grassland is a traditional Mongolian old folk song about a dying warrior missing his family and homeland on the battlefield. He was all alone in the moonlight and tried to write a letter to his loved ones on his white robe with his blood. So this song was quite different from Heaven. He sang in his mother language with the anguish and hurt. The performance combined the classical Mongolian music and contemporary musical theatre style.
Also he learned how to sing by listening to Tengri’s songs with an old cassette player that his late father left him when he was only 4 or 5. Tengri is his childhood idol and an inspiration of his music. They knew each other since Ayanga started his music career. Tengri praised his performance on Super Vocal on social media (weibo).
This is the singer that your said sounded closer to Freddie Mercury and had a better English accent than Dimash in the "Forever Queen" tribute on Singer 2019 when Dimash was a guest performer with the Super Vocal Boys. [The Super Vocal Boys came from another Chinese singing show called "Super Vocal" - a few of the top finishers performed on Singer 2019 and came in 3rd place. ] You can see that Ayunga also has a wide vocal range and perform lots of styles, like Dimash. He is a very expressive singer.

And of course they both have their own specific charming points. And I must say that AYunGa is not only a folk singer, he can handle many kinds of songs, classical, popular, rock, R&B, blabla~
He used to be a professional dancer when he was a teenager, but unfortunately an accident stopped his dancer career, then he entered college and majored in Musical Performance. So in his performance we can feel the features of musical theater, and he can dance a little when he is singing.
I think the impressive characters of his performance are powerful, emotional, and his tone range is very large, not like Dimash, but also very large. He can adjust his voice for different songs, I mean not only the tone, but also the style of voice, the body move...

BTW, I don't see any similarities of this song to Tengri's Heaven, other than they're both from Inner Mongolia singing Mongolian songs. And definitely don't see any similarity to Dimash. Dimash and Ayanga, they both have their own unique singing styles.
I was personally blown away by this song and Ayunga's rendition. He always puts more than a 100% into his songs. I think he is brilliant but of course we all have personal opinions - which we're allowed to have.
This is my favorite performance in this TV show (Super Vocal).
It’s actually about a dying solider missing hometown, and the solider wrote the last letter on the armor with his blood . It’s a cultural thing I think..the power is more about sacrificing and heroism¿

This song is about a tragic story of a warrior who fight for years and died in the battlefield. When he was dying, he torn his clothes and write a letter with his blood to express his love to his hometown and the loved one. (That's why Ayunga costume was alike to torn clothes haha)

I loved the song and its different. Tengri has his own way of singing and Ayanga too. I think they can both move people. Music is universal and lands differently to everyone because what moves me doesn’t necessarily moves the other. I’am a big Dimash fan and I don’t think Ayanna’s appearance is like Dimash. Ayanga has his own style and amazing voice too which I prefer and appreciate too👍👏pls react to Ayanga’s big brother.

Generally a good reaction but it's not anger in this song but solemn and great sadness and epic, as you could read others' comments wot this song is about. Also, I don't think it should be compared with Heaven, this song is all about tragedy and story telling but Heaven is more of a beautiful poem (nostalgia and praise).
I am several years late in learning about and watching Singer. I watched all the episodes of the first season and this performance by Ayanga was absolutely MAGNIFICENT! He brought his A Game in theatrical acting and vocal skills. I thought he should have won against the duet even though I liked them very much. So glad that Henry Lau used is last minute save choice and selected Ayanga to move forward.

actually this song's original singer is Tengri. Tengri sings like this and Ayunga learns/ copies from him. Cuz both of them are from a Same village and Tengri is Ayunga's no1 favorite

Thanks for your reaction to A Yun Ga. However,I don't think this song is similar to Tangri's heaven. They are actually really different songs. This song is talking about a soldier who is going to die in the war. The lyrics is singing by the soldier and he is saying goodbye to his family members before he die. Actually, this is a solemn and stirring song because he could not even say goodbye to his friends and family in their faces. All he could do is to sing out his soliloquy to those he loves but never have a chance to see again in his lifetime.
It's unfortunate that MGN is reacting to this video after seeing Tengir (sp.?) and his rendition of "Heaven," as well as the fact that he hasn't read about the story in the lyrics. Both Ayanga and Tengir start off gentle and suddenly switch to singing with a lot more force, emotion, anger, what have you. It's unfortunate because it looks like Ayanga is copying Tengir's style and portrayal when in fact Ayanga's resentment in this song fits the lyrics so much more than the tension in "Heaven." This is actually a character who is resentful of the fact that he is dying alone on the battlefield, and he is unable to go home and see his loved ones. In "Heaven," Tengir was singing about all the lovely things he misses and yearns for from his homeland. The anger in that kind of yearning is a bit odd, but here for Ayanga, it fits. How unfortunate. There are so many subtleties in the 2nd half of Ayanga's singing that MGN also missed because he had Tengir and Dimash in his head while watching this.

Glad you were recommended this song. I think Tengri wrote this. Hence the similarity. Culturally I would say Ayunga and Tengri are China Mongolian and Dimash is Kazakh Mongolian, thus the similarities...ancestors from the grasslands. React more to Super Vocals show that was the journey towards Dimash guest singing the Queen Medley with the group on Singer 2019 where they were contestants. The Super Vocal guys took 3rd place on Singer 2019.
Ayanga is singing a very sad Mongolian song .it's not a happy song and it doesn't turn out happy at the end. Therefore not a light song not like Tengri has a happy ending. So pls don't compare the two. Thank you

Though Ayanga is my favorite singer, I can understand how you are comparing him with Tengri. "Heaven" was written as a song to praise the grassland, their heaven-like home, but his rendition of it has changed over the years. The last time Tengri sang "Heaven" on "The Singer", it was more sad and reminiscent than joyful praise. There may even be some hidden anger in there. The issue behind is complex. I do feel Ayanga coming from the same village as Tengri, and grew up listening to Tengri's songs, was deeply influenced by Tengri. But Ayanga is also moving beyond, not just within the traditional ways of singing, but also integrating the international ways harmoniously. Thus his influence is already moving beyond social stradas. As for Dimash, there is no 2nd person in the world who could sing like that. But Ayanga's depth of emotions, his life experiences speak loud in his music and performance. This moves me most, and is the essence of communication through music, I feel.
