This is fantastic. Really cool to see content like this so early after a release. Stands out from the expected breakdowns and generates all sorts of ideas across multitude of creative minds.
very cool ideas! using the rachet with kill dry into the shimmer as a pad is the first time i understood why kill dry is so useful! really clever combinations, and beautiful playing as always!
OK, I immediately thought about the fact that I am a one-man band producing live music for my wife’s yoga classes. The ability to trigger layers of effects to change up the intensity of a background drone could be really helpful.
This is super inspiring! I bet you could also put the Ratchet on a separate path from the looper with a volume block after it and use it strictly as a metronome where the pulse isn’t recorded into the looper, then fade the Ratchet sound out with an expression pedal.
I always wondered how I’d make that pad, ambient, spacey thingy that kicks in when the bass does in your impros - the ratchet into shimmer would work great for that! Time to cordy!!
Btw, this was super interesting. Tbh when I tested some of these new effects initially I was like what’s this good for, when would I use this? Seems so obvious now that you fleshed these ideas out, probably a lot more fun combinations in there
No feedback? What a massive oversite! These are static samplers not delays. They go through all the trouble to make it and then leave out feedback basically crippling the practical application.
If Line 06 keeps updating their software on the helix, they won't need to release another pedal like it for a good while and people will continue to purchase it. I speak from my own experience.
I disagree - I think the Shuffling Looper is actually substantially more controllable. The Tesselator gets unruly very quickly if you have more than two steps, because there’s no ability to control the pitch/speed of the "in-between" steps.
These are the most creative ways I've seen so far on looping guitar with just helix. Your playing is progressing as well!

Cheers Dan!!
Quickly becoming one of my favorite youtube guitar players. That playing is so damn inspiring.
Inspiring! Proud new owner of the HX STomp and couldn't be happier. John Cordy is part of the HX ecosystem.
Probably the most influential YTr in helping me make the decision to get the HX-Stomp (i haven't actually bought it yet, but I'm going to, honest!).
This is such a sick demo of what can be possible with these awesome new blocks! Plus, your playing stays absolutely on point. Love it!
Line 6 could have the fart pedal on the next Helix update and Cordy could make it musical. Love you stuff man. Keep on!
I've been hoping for this kind of praise all my life

Some great ideas here. Loved the ambient jam at the end.
The ratchet with Shimmer is GOLDEN! Wow I can definitely see that getting a lot of my time
18:00 getting those sweet Bon Iver “666t” vibes.
maybe line 6 wanted to throw down the gauntlet and say what can you do with these?great sounds John.great tweaking!luv it!
Some great stuff here, thank you
Very inspirational indeed, on a ton of levels. Sending all my thanks and respect ✊
Really cool ways to use it! thanks for sharing
Beautiful work! So much from so little of a pedal!
What is the source of those synth sounds?

How do I get a gig like that

John stole my response

Lol I'm in your same situation

Great idea
Great idea, but then there's no one to blame for my crap timing but me....
A one-step Tesselator is functionally equivalent to (if a little more limited in scope than) a Hexe Revolver.
Awesome content as always!
I took one look at these in the release notes and said, "Ah, some more Cordy effects."
Hello do you make a preset for harmony patch, I can’t get a good twin harmony sound
I always wondered how I’d make that pad, ambient, spacey thingy that kicks in when the bass does in your impros - the ratchet into shimmer would work great for that! Time to cordy!!

Waiting for your take on the new synths!
Really? One more 3.15 vid?
@@johnnathancordy fuck yes dude you sound awesome
@@johnnathancordy i find it really useful when you share your view on these subjects
Digging your HX Stomp vidoes mate!
it would be cool if the looper had a click while recording the loop, but then disappears in the actual loop once you start using it
Put the ratchet on a separate path so that it can be turned off after you have recorded the loop! There's always a work around!
Perplexing that Line 6 has not incorporated Midi Sync into their loopers with all of the time-based tools they’re creating.
Agreed, or quantization and other smart features that Neural just included in a Quad Cortex update
How do you typically use your HX stomp? Through studio monitors, four-cable method to your amp, FRFR, or…?
into JBL LSR305!
Man this stuff is amazing… I purchased the folder 📁 I thought but nothing is added? I I missing something?
Jc lead patches link has a 3.15 folder with these presets in I think?
Ratchet sounds like "hey, someone's trying to rob my car!"
Wish they just put a proper metronome block in there in the next patch
Jakob Bro likes this
Wonderful ideas, can’t wait to try!
A song for a pheasant phriend?
Some Metheny vibes in here ;)

sounds like a slightly happy Blade Runner

It seems as though the tesselator is a more controllable version of the shuffle looper

Man them licks yikes - where are those coming from
Ratchet is also a killer stutter pedal ala Tera Melos and Melt-Banana
