Lotor is kind of like a combo of Zuko and Azula from ATLA. He was banished by his father who tried to kill him later on. He did the wrong things for the right reasons like zuko but he never had someone like iroh as a good role model. He was always manipulative like Azula. After being abandoned by his crew mates and rejected by Allura he went completely mad (even before he entered the quintessence field). I feel kinda bad for the guy.

My fave part is the beginning where the text has these nice wave things going on and it always blurs and the use of of overlays and bursts and inverting is absolutely amazing! I personally don't ship Lance and Allura either, I just thought it was more supposed to be comic relief so now I'm like "oh wait we rly doing this?". I thought the way Lotor unravelled was absolute shit on the writers part. Usually I love betrayals so I didn't really care if he was sincere or not, but it felt so forced and obligatory somehow? Having him have a redemption and show that your lineage does not define you would have been literally so much better? But eh, either way this AMV is way too awesome! He did so much good for the alteans and the paladins, and without him, Allura wouldn’t have even known Oriande existed but no, they had to resort to the whole Galra=bad thing. I completely agree. They had so much potential, Lotor actually truly loved her and wanted to be with her in my opinion but she let Lance and the others get in her head a bit about him. I get them trying to protect her and I get that she has trust issues with people of Lotor's race but her letting everyone else get in her head like that made her have doubts about him, and when she sensed the slightest bit of betrayal from him she kicked him to the curb. I still say till this day Lotor only betrayed him like he did in the end because of Allura just kicking him off to the side the way she did. But that's just my opinion🤷♀️
I think Lotor was happy, for the first time in his life after a lifetime of emotional abuse by his parents. But nobody in Team Voltron will give him a chance!

Just thought I'd let you know that I have now finished watching all of the six seasons and I love it so much! Definitely a Lotura shipper, which is why I am torn apart at the moment, but I have hope that things can still work out and I agree that Lotor's good actions outweigh the bad. It's clear that he wanted to be better than his father and build a peaceful and prosperous universe, though his way of doing it might not have been the best, but at least his intentions were good. Can't wait to see what happens in season 7! :D

They had so much potential, Lotor actually truly loved her and wanted to be with her in my opinion but she let Lance and the others get in her head a bit about him. I get them trying to protect her and I get that she has trust issues with people of Lotor's race but her letting everyone else get in her head like that made her have doubts about him, and when she sensed the slightest bit of betrayal from him she kicked him to the curb. I still say till this day Lotor only betrayed him like he did in the end because of Allura just kicking him off to the side the way she did.
But that's just my opinion🤷♀️
The song fits well since Allura (and the others) wasn't enough for lotor to be happy
I think Lotor was happy, for the first time in his life after a lifetime of emotional abuse by his parents. But nobody in Team Voltron will give him a chance!

Just thought I'd let you know that I have now finished watching all of the six seasons and I love it so much! Definitely a Lotura shipper, which is why I am torn apart at the moment, but I have hope that things can still work out and I agree that Lotor's good actions outweigh the bad. It's clear that he wanted to be better than his father and build a peaceful and prosperous universe, though his way of doing it might not have been the best, but at least his intentions were good. Can't wait to see what happens in season 7! :D
