This is not accurate in California @therideshareguy. I pay about 900 a month for a 2018 navigator to use on uber black SUV.

When I drove car service in the 1960s . You owned a car you had insurance
your hired. No special insurance, stickers, tax stamps, plates or TLC.
Today too much baloney. With my own vehicle I got 75%.
I don’t know what percentage uber and lyft take but the bares most
    of the expenses I believe.

The *average* annual commercial premium (all period liability coverage) for a for hire livery vehicle varies between $2,500 at the low end and $6,000, depending on state and municipality requirement, even considering telematics offerings.

Anyone from California knows a good and affordable rideshare insurance? I am shopping for one now because Geico is ending their at the end of November.

Dont ever don't ever get rideshare insurance you'll only be covered in period one. Which means you are online waiting on a ride.
Rideshare insurance are rip offs. I had rideshare insurance for 3 years. Got in an accident with a passenger in my car.. they sent me a letter saying they aren't going to cover me because I had a passenger in my car. I was like wtf. Of course I did. Thats why I got the rideshare insurance. You need to get comercial insurance.
