Very professional finish. Your attention to detail was impressive You deserver to be proud of your workmanship. Not to mention just what a great educational video this is. Thank you.
This is the best video I've seen this year so far by a country mile! Really good session Rob, I've learnt so much from this - brilliant! Thank you for sharing this, very useful indeed 🙂
Rob what a fantastic job you have done, my favourite video of yours so far. First class in every particular Sir. Can’t wait to see what you’ll have in store for us next time.
What a great video! Totally agree that anyone can do it, I get that myself. The difficult part is the designing and problem-solving whilst making the prototype. Ones the video is out there is just copy paste. Thanks for sharing 👍
Hi Rob. Awesome, magnificent, outstanding ...., I could go on for quite more words to discribe your job. 🙂 Even I could learn from it, watching you doing that. I got an idea from this clip, but sadly I am missing a Band-Saw and a Turning-Machine. But I figured already out, to get it done without those Machines 😉 Ride on Rob, keep the good contents comming... 🙂 Sadly I could give you only one Like and not a few hundreds! 😎😎😎
Wonderful track Rob . I rekon you will inspire many people to actually give a wood routed track build a go .Top quality work, and to be honest, im one of those who wouldn't have the confidence to actually try it at the moment 🤭 I can't even get a square table using all the recommended ways of measuring ,drives me crazy mate . Thanks for sharing your beautiful track build 🤗
You know what I think I am going to get on with a HO routed track over summer. Might see if I can borrow a router. I like how you used the track as a template, really handy tip. This build was epic, loved it from start to finish! ❤
Thank you 🙂 Using the track came from the original idea of using Scalextric track, and as you say, actually using pre-made track does make things a little simpler for laying out a track plan. Good luck 🙂
One added piece of advice: the bit you'll use on HO track slots is a 1/16" (1/32 and 1/24 tracks are 1/8") single or double flute - preferably double. You'll pay a little more for the double flute, but it'll last longer and give you a cleaner cut. Best of luck!
Stumbled across your video and I have to say it was fascinating! I loved your video the pace and music, it all worked! I would love to have you build a track for me! lol I will be watching from now on!
Love this, been on my mind to do for a while and you definitely inspired me to have a go. Only thing is, do you have any more guidance on the electrical connections part?
@@lewisfroud81 The track rails are simply joined together in any way you want. I connected mine on this build with a bus bar and then put + through once latch and - through the other, see 19:30 . The wiring can be found here slotcarcorner.com/pages/track-wiring
Thanks, we call it Bum Bead in cabinet making, but it's basically just 'moulding' you can buy it in 8 foot lengths from most DIY shops. I think the one I used on RV was 40mm high. The one I used on CV was only 30mm and I had to lift it up with a 5mm packer and it's still a little low. So aim for 4 ribs at 40mm high 🙂
Rob you are simply the best TH-cam Slot Car Guy... Love your content and you're so talented! Cheers from South Carolina!
Oh no, there are plenty of guys out there far better than me, but thank you anyway 🙂
"If you think you can't, you're right." Great video Rob. Love the little track.
Your table top test track is mostly what motivated me to make this Dave 🥰
@@SwiftSlots That’s awesome Rob! Funny thing is, now you’re motivating me to build a fold up track like yours!
@@shotgundaveslotcars LOL, I'll FB you a pic of it folded and clipped together in the morning.
Incredible work, Rob. So well thought-out and such a tidy job on the construction. Thanks for showing us how it's done. 👍

What is it you'd like to know, the wires to the track or control panel ?
@@SwiftSlots both I guess

Undercoat seems to be quite grippy as an alternative to satin.
