You can actually use the grapple hook to steal enemies health items even buffs and such. Stole a fugitives buff to light the sword on fire.
I literally did the same thing I was just so confused t that they could heal their self I paused lol.

That gonzo fight cracked me up so much lol. Don't worry afro, that boss was pretty tough, quite a bad matchup if you're trying to get used to the parry since he's so aggressive with that charge attack and i believe one of them is also unblockable.

@@physicssimulator2656 if you let gonzo live he will say that he has some treasure that he will give you and once he gives you the key you take the downstairs and go left to a storage area and after that open a chest see a cutscene of ryoma leaving and then you can get the glider and fly into town

Two tips one completing the optional objective of beating the formidable opponents around a mission weakens the boss two the red arrow next to his health pointing down means your weapon type is weak against him he has a resist to dual swords id recommend either switching to your partner or equipping a one handed sword as a secondary to switch to you wabt the arrow to be blue and pointing up next to his health that means hes weak to your weapon type also you got a key from the boss after you killed the boss there was a ton of loot in that room and a glider you could have gotten
The combat on this game is fire 🔥 especially the bayonet
10:48 with the pistol I've noticed when they are charging with a red attack you can interrupt them with a shot, also if they leap into the air hit em with the blicky to knock em down and do extra ki damage. You'll get one in a couple of missions. And use your martial arts more, lab on the fodder with your moves just watch your stamina.

Hey Afro! To refill your stamina after a combo hit R1. This works to refill your ki (Stamina) You are going to see a meter under your weapon on the right side of the screen that's the blood meter. The more blood on the sword the more stamina you get back after your combo. It's a very cool mechanic.
Keep going Afro! Funny to hear you talk about the glider right after killing Gonzo 😭. I spared him and he gave me the key to that room where there were other goods including the permits and the glider already, we later became allies not long after going to Yokohama 😅

I love my insane gameplay mechanics and this game has it. Nioh 2 is the only game that comes close to this and Sifu. Most Nioh 2 fans would agree nothing will ever beat Nioh, but I find both ROTR and Sifu to be the perfect level of complex and simple.
I’m not a sheep, I don’t have to have some online presence tell me when something is good. If I feel love when playing a game. That’s how I know.

Another tip...like Niho different stances are better with dealing with certain enemies. Depending on the weapon and stance. You can tell by the indicator to the right of enemy health bar. Red down arrow means that shit is weak and won't work while blue arrow up means its time to mink! Now you learn different styles by defeating certain enemies or meeting certain conditions. Just check out the combat styles. This game also has presets with load outs. The game is deep ...it just doesn't look great.

Afro, You can regain your stamina (ki) by pressing r1 after your combo, there’s a yellow bar under your weapon. The fuller it is the more ki you get back it’s called a “blade flash”
