Why does it work on TH-cam, but doesn't work for me. I tried so many time to transfer photos from my Sony 6300 to my Samsung S23 Ultra. It keeps giving me an error that the connection failed and I need to connect to new phone, which I already did. Then the wifi Hotspot doesn't have internet connection. What am I doing wrong?
Not sure without seeing the actual camera. However you don't need an internet connection when you're connected to the camera's wifi. You'll only use it to transfer photos. Also if you have a VPN service active that may interfere with the app.

Per the Sony site: "Ctrl with Smartphone To use the function, the latest version of Smart Remote Control of PlayMemories Camera Apps needs to be installed. > PlayMemories Camera Apps" So looks like you'd need to use the Playmemories App for that specific feature.
Hi, thanks for your video. I'm using the A6600 and I have an IPHONE Xr. Can I use the camera on the weebill s, load the cell phone onto the gimbal, and then use the iphone as a monitor without need for the weebill s image transmitter? Thanks for any help!
Yes you can totally do that. I used to used this with a hacked gimbal solution I had where I couldn't see the screen. As I mentioned in the video, it's basic monitoring with no meters or histogram. However it works great for overall composition.

What about for locations where there is no wifi? I am thinking about using the app as a remote trigger for cityscapes in places where wifi isn't available. Is this possible?
Hi thanks for watching. You don’t need an internet connection to use the app. The wifi is broadcast from camera, so it kind of works like how you would connect Bluetooth headphones to a smartphone. So answer your question: yes you could use it in that situation. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks for watching. Once you create the network the first time, it should be easy to connect to the camera. However every once it a while you may have trouble connecting and have to do the entire process over to get things to work. At least it was like that with some of the older cameras. The ZV-1 is slightly newer and should perform well. Thanks

Is there a way to browse and preview images in real-time on your phone WITHOUT transferring pictures to your phone ? It would be a nice feature to have, just to quickly check your taken photos on a holiday or anywhere, where you don't have access to a computer
Hey thanks for watching. there's kind of a work around for that. Under that same "Network" folder there's an option for "Snd to Smrtphn Func". Select that then "Send to Smartphone" > "Select on Smartphone" Once you connect the phone to the camera, you can view the imagea from the camera on the phone and you don't have to transfer them. Hope that helps.

What’s a good way to transfer RAW images to phone? When using that app it only transfers it as a JPEG. I shoot as RAW so i don’t understand why it switches the format.

It doesn't work for me. After scanning the code my iphone show a "start" link, however nothing happens when I press that. I remember few months ago it worked fine, but doesn't work anymore
Hey thanks for watching. Maybe try going into your phone settings and manually connecting to the wife network. If that doesn't work, I'd 'forget that network' of the camera and then try reconnecting again in the app from scratch.

@@rrafaelpaz yep. New a6100 and it says connection successful but then does nothing. Not pic say transferred. The imaging app is horrible. It is rated a 2.4 with more 1 stars then 5. Very picky app. Samsung camera and galaxy work best.
Oh, you don't have to join the wifi first in the settings? I was entering the password twice. There's no qr code. I don't see shutter, aperture, and iso control on the iphone for the a6000. Also it makes 2 different camera entries, one for the remote control, and one for "send to smartphone".

I can send photos from my Sony Alpha 6000 to my phone with this but when I click on "start" in the Imagining Edge App to take photos and control it through my phone, it always tells me that the wifi connection between camera and app failed. Any ideas? :/ Is it possible that my camera is too old and the camera wifi too weak or something?
Thanks for watching. This sometimes happens to me as well. I do either one of two things. Try to connect to the camera's wifi directly from your phone's wifi settings. Or in some instances I set the camera up in the app as new all over again. To do that: go to 'Settings' in the top right hand corner of the app > camera list > edit. Delete the camera and then set it up like new again, and it should connect.
I’ve connected my a6100 to my iPhone 11 Pro, but when I try take to take pictures remotely the camera doesn’t take the photo. Do you know what’s wrong?

I'm having really a bad experience with this app it works really slow plus tooo many errors when connecting i have to disconnect the wifi Bluetooth everything then connect again and if i tried to use the remote control while I'm in manual mode in the camera it always says connect unsuccessful. even how to foucs ?? man i really need an app for my sony a7r iv to take videos and pictures with the remote and advice on a better function app ? because this is giving me a heart attack
Not sure what’s going on with your app. But it’s definitely not perfect at times. My only recommendation is double check that the app and the camera’s firmware is the latest version.

Hi thanks for watching. Yes you can transfer videos as well. They just take a lot longer depending on the length if the video, and if they’re 4K, high frame rate etc.

When displaying the remote functionaly on the phone, I don't have "apperature" or "shutter speed" options available.. The only paramater that i can change through the phone screen is EV ... I am on sony a6500? Any Idea was is this happening? (phone galaxy s8)
I'm not 100% sure, the menus are slightly different on the a6500. I know the "DISP" button in the app should pull up different options. Hi. I've never seen it ask for a password before. I would go in the network settings and check your wifi settings to see if you may have accidentally set one.

Unfortunatley the RX100IV doesn't supprt QR codes. But I think it should still be able to connect with NFC. If not, maybe see if you can download the Playmemories app. It's the app before Imaging Edge came out.
Thanks for watching. The DISP button doesn't do much. It allows you to toggle the menus for the basic exposure controls like shutter, aperture, and ISO.

You should just be able to turn on the connection on the camera and pair the phone to it's wifi network

The Imagine Edge Mobile application is bugged. Dont work properly - often switchess off - so the bad camera. I never buy sony camera again.

How to you get it to save the video to your camera and not your phone while using it as a remote.
The videos should still record to the memory card in the camera when using the remote.

Check to see if you USB connection is on. That would disable smartphone connect from being used.

I'm having really a bad experience with this app it works really slow plus tooo many errors when connecting i have to disconnect the wifi Bluetooth everything then connect again and if i tried to use the remote control while I'm in manual mode in the camera it always says connect unsuccessful. even how to foucs ?? man i really need an app for my sony a7r iv to take videos and pictures with the remote and advice on a better function app ? because this is giving me a heart attack
Not sure what’s going on with your app. But it’s definitely not perfect at times. My only recommendation is double check that the app and the camera’s firmware is the latest version.

Hi thanks for watching. Yes you can transfer videos as well. They just take a lot longer depending on the length if the video, and if they’re 4K, high frame rate etc.

When displaying the remote functionaly on the phone, I don't have "apperature" or "shutter speed" options available.. The only paramater that i can change through the phone screen is EV ... I am on sony a6500? Any Idea was is this happening? (phone galaxy s8)
I'm not 100% sure, the menus are slightly different on the a6500. I know the "DISP" button in the app should pull up different options. My new Sony DSC-RX100 Mark 3 does not have any qr codes that all of these instruction videos have and also I'm not able to set up a connection between my camera and my phone. :'(
That camera is a bit older. Try searching for the Sony play memories app. That used to be the old app that would connect to those cameras

Also look into getting the old Playmemories app if you can't do something with Imaging Edge. It was the previous app and may be more compatible with your camera.

Hi. I've never seen it ask for a password before. I would go in the network settings and check your wifi settings to see if you may have accidentally set one.

My RX100iv doesn’t show the QR-Code
Unfortunatley the RX100IV doesn't supprt QR codes. But I think it should still be able to connect with NFC. If not, maybe see if you can download the Playmemories app. It's the app before Imaging Edge came out.
