Finally someone who can teach and explain correct techniques . Good job Doug !
This guy knows what he is talking about thanks for the pointers
for sure man
They call him "The Doctor Dubach" - why? let's just say he's had alot of trips to the emergency room!
We all need to go back to the basics once in a while. Great instruction from Doug.
Thankyou! I come of bad today, have a road bike n trying to learn to ride in the dirt. whole different ball game
Great video, explained really well. Thank you!
I must have watched a hundred vids on corner technique and FINALLY someone who explains it properly! Why does no one else mention the importance of coasting and coasting speed?
Man you are a great teacher. Thanks for your advice.greetings from Greece
pleas make more these vidjas are awesome
Thank you. 🇺🇲🤙🏼
Actually laughed when you mentioned the chalk board. It would be fun to watch (and maybe get lost) but the hand gestures are making the point very clearly. Another awesome video and thanks again!
Thanks for the lesson. Got it..."smoother is faster"...
Good video series~
Perfectly explained, great vid, how can anyone give a thumbs down!
Very helpful thank you
Best how to on youtube, I wish DD did more semi advanced ones as well!
Good tips, im just getting back into riding and i can say personally when i ride even at my local track every week there is some rut or turn that is in different condition. and every lap i take a different line until i find the one i feel most comfortable with.
One of my favorite lines ever which is fun to me but not safe if youre on a crowded track is coming in from the outside and then tilting the bike as much as possible to blast out from the inside. I just call it the outside to in line. One of the benefits i've noticed is it really sets you up for exiting the turn to prepare for the jump or what ever is coming up. But its not the fastest or safest so its really just for fun.
Thanks! Cornering is my worst thing for me :( So hopefully this will help!
Nice pointers...I like to practice this from the other side. Lean TOO MUCH...and when you are going to low side....use more throttle to hold the bike up. It is actually MUCH safer to err to the side of leaning too much (lots of muddy low slide crashes...which are no big deal) than to stand the bike up...which can hurt... Finishing the braking early is also a great point. One final technique is to turn the wrong way just a bit (away from the lean) as you are starting to lean while coasting in. This will dramatically increase how quickly the bike leans in. Better be ready to lay into the rut and turn back in, however. Do this too early...and you are going to low side hard.
What about weighting outside peg and throttle???
Is coasting means keeping momentum?
Thanks for the video.
Coasting means you're going but with no gas.
When I see kids cost they sometimes hit the gas because after the finished braking early they braked to hard like watch the lorretas lyns mini o's they reve while coasting
Doug, when you coast does that mean we can pull in the clutch or no?
Leave the clutch out for God’s sake. If you pull in the clutch you’ve lost the bike.
Doug I need your help
When you say coast, do you mean to pull the clutch?
+Mick Cain Pretty much, but i like to tickle the throttle to maintain through the rut.
Can u help me win the 50 a class this year
Im.goingto win the 50 a class
Gary Semics said "You lose control when you coast"......
Dirt Bike Event That was the time of 2 strokes. On a 4 stroke if you coast it’s like dragging the rear brake on a 2 stroke. So you don’t lose any control at all.
This is Doug in 1989 th-cam.com/video/TyNHl5q7CZs/w-d-xo.htmlm check that hair-doo.
