    To be honest, even as an Arknights fan I was worried for this game, especially since the devs admitted a 3D game was unfamiliar territory.
    But thankfully, either through sheer passion or hiring the right people (or both), they are on a pretty straight track to deliver a quality product capable of competing against a lot of the mainstream gacha giants right now.
    Look forward towards the final release!

      @ honestly? I’ve seen so many people turned off by videos of OG Arknights gameplay, then play it just to get addicted to the actual flow of the gameplay that I would recommend it to people, whether or not they’re fans of tower defense, gacha, etc. Give it a shot (don’t gotta be content, though I might recommend a Sherpa who’s familiar with the game), and let me know what you think!

      Let's be honest. There's quite a difference between hitting an interactive enemy and a rock. But even then, everyone gets annoyed eventually when they have to farm too many slimes too. Adding rocks on top - not cool, I think. Hence why I appreciate when games reduce the amount of brainded grinding, which hopefully the factory building does!

    I think i like this more than NTE and Ananta. It seems to have very interesting character designs, the MC looks very nice, the characters act very lively, having everyone on field could be interesting, building stuff and basically adapting the map traversal to your liking is also quite pleasant. The world design feels much more lively than what it got criticized for in their past trailer. Big improvement overall. If i had one complaint really its the need to pick up materials instead of it just auto looting like in wuthering waves, so thats a QOL i would like to have.

      I will classified Arknight Endfield as Industrial Management RPG genre rather than as something looks like G.I and WuWa. Arknight Endfield have massive areas divided into various interconnected zones (not really openworld), and all party members are there visible exploring with player, plus it has industrial management system that i like (Well, i like factorio and satisfactory). I can dismissed any other gacha games from this one.
      And if calling as the standard, Zelda breath of the wild is still the standard senior for gacha game G.I and other open world gacha games.

    The closest comparison I have for the squad combat in this is Xenoblade. Very similar semi-open world, party that runs around with you and fights with you, although you direct when abilities get used and can set up chain combos using them together. I love the feeling like you're bringing an entire team and they're all participating. Biggest difference here though is that in Xenoblade regular attacking is just a very MMO style auto-attack, with everything in combat revolving almost entirely around ability use. Here there's clearly a lot more action in the combat. Plus there's the whole base/factory/building element that's completely on another level.
    There is swapping in the game, but in the sense that you can switch to control and fight as any of the characters in your squad. They don't show it anywhere in this demo but you aren't limited to just being the MC and only using your other characters for their QTEs and Ultimates. No clue on whether the MC is required to always be in the party though - I hope not so we can make our own squads of four however we want.
    There's a mode in OG Arknights that was recently added called Reclamation Algorithm that has a lot of similarities to this. Obviously different in terms of gameplay with it being a 2D game with tower defense combat, but the stuff with gathering resources, building bases, researching, exploring the map, constructing structures to help you - that all feels like a bit of a prototype for what they're looking to do here.

    • @WowMit
      @WowMit  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yea, there are quite a few games that have this enemy encounter system where you run around as party and simply approach enemies w/o entering a fight scene.
      I'm glad to hear you get to play as other characters too! I was worried it'd be like Kingdom Hearts running around with Donald & Goofy and Gacha to exchange them. lol
      Too bad I missed out on the OG Arknights. But happy to witness their future craft based on their original!

    I don't mind if you can switch out the MC but I feel like playing as the MC and only being able to switch out the party it'd be great change of pace compared to other gachas where the MC literally takes a back seat once you get better characters.

    • @WowMit
      @WowMit  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Master_Matoya Currently in Star Rail the MC is at least highly valuable. But yea, it sux when MCs really start collecting dust.
      I like the idea! Games like Kingdom Hearts have only partners swappable, but you always play the same MC.
      Or Final Fantasy Remake has an MC but you can take control over the others though often not that badly necessary.
      So, I wouldn't mind this system. But since we have to gacha for our characters it makes sense that we get to swap the MC out for them. xD

    Every mobile game creator that I've seen check out the Gameplay showcase asking for them to show more combat, is really telling about how shallow the overall gameplay diversity in mobile gacha games are and just how little gameplay expectation mobile gacha players have for their games. Endfield is showing different aspects of the game besides just the combat, giving players more things to do instead of just going from one fight to the next. The world can be built in which already makes the world much more personal to each player, instead of just being another world with a scattering of enemies and resources to fight and collect. What combat was shown was enough to give a taste of what it's going to look and feel like, and they can save bosses and more intricate fights for the beta/full release.

      @@Vaeltis While I appreciate the idea of seeking more than just combat experience, my expectations do boil down to it.
      My channel is a variety channel. I play over 10 different genres of gaming on my channel. Heck, I even play Infinity Nikki (and trust me, it's not for its combat lol).
      What I personally seek from Games like ZZZ and Endfield etc. is ultimately the combat and that is fine for me to want. I love that a lot of games these days do way more than just combat. I enjoy those aspects too. But in the end I personally will spend most of the time fighting in those games. So yea, ofc I'm curious for more. But naturally I don't want 'only' the combat.
