After playing the game, it would have benefitted a lot allowing you to actuall drive the ATV's you find around the map, the map is even designed wide enough that they probably intended to do that. Also they should have added Ghouls or "zombie" equivalent of vampires. Gunplay sux ass overall. It feels like shooting nerf guns, there's no weight or satisfaction in the combat. Even the movement just feels exhausting, they should have allowed a stamina bar and allow you to go UBER FAST by putting your weapon away.
70 dollar game btw also made by the same developers who made Dishonered series and pray. So they dont get the "Indie dev". We could of gotten dishonered 3 man but we got this instead. It just means were not in the canon universe.
I always wanted to play a game that was in the "I Am Legend" universe. You can do co-op, but have it to where you have to find the other person in the world through clues like the radio transmission he used in the movie. Of course you have resource management, so the game makes you explore the dark areas where supplies will be. This forces you to stealth or get overrun like Days Gone. That would be a fun game to play
i think it's funny that the chuds who defended forspoken were determined to review bomb this game ass revenge for most of the internet review personalities shit canning it and found that arkane did half the work for them. every step towards release redfall just gave reasons why it was doomed to fail, always online even in single player, releasing an fps at 30 fps instead of 60 minimum.
I'll give Arkane one thing, they managed to create a game that is the perfect example of general AAA Games nowadays: 1. Nesting ground for bugs and glitches 2. boring and uninspired gameplay 3. lifeless open world 4. Overhyped Marketing and failed to deliver 5. a price tag that is straight up a scam
The more developers rely on systems that they didn’t build themselves, the more they will be at the mercy of their limitations. When I was in college our team decided to use certain tools and plugins that we could not have built ourselves. And if those tools didn’t work the way we wanted them to, then there was little to nothing we could do about it. Our AI was especially awkward. I’m willing to bet the vampires get stuck on mid-sized objects because the radius for engagement is just enough that they don’t enter a “chase” state, but of course cannot reach the player. There are probably some abilities or behaviors that rely on that extra distance but do not account for boxes and cars.
The game was built with unreal engine. one of the best and most reliable engines out there which like 50% of games use. this excuse would only mean they have no idea how game development works and use code they simply pulled from the internet or something. the choice of tools is up to the developers. and even if this was not at their fault, it changes quite literally nothing in terms of quality and game design.
@@letzplayosaurus Students in college wanted to use Unreal. What makes unreal great is it’s totally open source. But that only works for people who know what they’re doing. More experienced teams use Unreal more as a jump-start and have a lot of project specific alterations. They do a lot of under the hood type engineering. But when I was in college, none of the students could do any of that. Unreal was just a glorified Unity to them. But it was industry standard, so they had to have it anyway. There are degrees now, like Digital Media BA’s, that emphasize tools and art over actual programming. We were always short on coders. We had plenty of artists who wanted Unreal to show off their work (fair enough) but we had lots of under trained coders who preferred Unity or even other engines. If we were in Unreal it was always visual coding. I’m just saying, the bar is being set lower and lower. EA was just across the street hiring these kids.
you neither. cutscene arent "expensive" (whatever that means). if you can animate a model and link it to a state machine to make it move somewhat well , you can use a timeline and make a cutscene . a dumb person with a month of using an engine can do that.
I swear, the trend of modern gaming isn’t to make the best gameplay, story or anything like that anymore. It’s a contest to see who rush out the most broken, boring, poorly written, lazily produced raw sewage.
I remember when games needed to be finished before developers even considered releasing them, at this point I don't even think they play test anymore and just push out overpriced garbage with the excuse of patching it post launch
I also love the vampires being out in the broad daylight, not dying, yet there’s a UV gun that basically insta-kills them, indicating that they ARE, in fact, meant to be weak to UV light (AKA FUCKING SUNLIGHT)
The answer as to why games are coming out bug ridden, half-done, and entirely broken is actually fairly simply. Go to Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc. or even better, go directly to the studios' career pages. You'll find tons of executive positions and senior level positions with massive paychecks open because that's what they value, the people at the top. You know what you won't find? QA staff. Nearly all of it is out-sourced to other QA companies AND always as a short contract (3 months is very common) at the end of dev cycle...when it's far too late for QA to alert the publisher/developer that the game isn't releasable. VERY FEW developers have dedicated QA teams in-studio that work alongside the main dev, art, etc teams. Instead, they are outside contractors that A. have no real one-on-one contact with developers and hence cannot sit down and discuss things and B. they aren't a part of the studio/company working on the game officially or long term and hence they are FAR less likely to be listened to by the developers. The gaming dev culture actually leaks out fairly frequently, but people tend to ignore it and decide that it's ok as long as their favorite devs aren't as bad some others. Halo's 343 studio is a great example where the now fired lower level and QA devs publicly called out higher level incompetence, mistreatment of workers, unfair pay, and management simply wanting a product out in the wild asap. Another are the reports of the current Infinity Ward team being nearly impossible to work with due to another phenomenon, Lead Designers & Developers simply having far too much power to push their particular preferences onto the rest of the team. Game Design IS NOT a single person's vision, ever. It's a team project from the very beginning stages and the concept of a grand architect at the studios mainly being responsible is mostly an urban legend. Even one of the most worshiped developers ever, Kojima himself, has said that the concept of a single person being the sole reason a game is good or bad is not realistic and counter-productive in design spaces. However, at studios like Infinity Ward, the Lead Designer (in this case, Joe Cecot...who deleted all his tweets & now refuses to engage directly with fans) reportedly enforces a strict studio environment where his word is law and his vision for Call of Duty is the only one that matters. Naturally, this makes no sense from a design POV OR from the POV that you actually want to craft game that appease players' wants and needs.
AAA Gaming, ladies and gents. $70 for this steaming shitpile, and *they're mad people don't like it.* Utter garbage, just stop buying AAA games in general for a while. They're alpha releases at a 1.0 price that aren't ever really fixed. This is just stupid at this point.
And people still defend tripple A games raising the prices of their games..... you're going to tell me this shit show is worth its price tag? It's also interesting how Dead Island 2 got hardly any attention by anyone, despite being a good game that actually works, admittedly, the fact it is a rubbish store exclusive might have helped there, and I only have it because I got it for free with my GPU, but it is a well optimised bug free game, its also hella fun to play. So not everything is lost, some games are actually worth their price tag.
2 things that could make this game way better. 1.) AI that adapts to how you play and scales with your characters level. 2.) give us basic evasive maneuvers. Everything combat-wise is too linear. I wouldn't patch the random bugs/glitches because it's very entertaining. I would patch any and all exploits. Another issue i have learned about is that in co-op, the story progression stays with the host only.

8:48 there was a note by difficulty setting that states "existing enemies Will remain unchanged" there but also i had extreme high hopes for this game but once i saw the reviews, the hate videos, and the gameplay, i was like "well, this game looks like it's gonna suck. time to take it off my steam wishlist."
Stalker had one of the best ai ever, that it the game was that broken that it became good, legend has it that stalkers A-life system was way to advanced, complex and overpowered that they had to hit it befor launch. Playing stalker in modern day with modern mods like EFP or GAMMA, is insane, the AI is really immersive, like the bandits, they truly fight like drunk monkeys
I can't think of another game that's spoken for itself so thoroughly. It looks so fucking horrible in every way
It’s really a shame cus I think the concept itself is cool. I feel like vampires could be utilized in a lot of different ways but rarely do we ever get vampire games. We get hella zombies games but not much vampire stuff. Don’t get me wrong I love zombie stuff for the most part but I do feel it’s a bit overdone
I don't know why, but I love watching gameplay from poorly made games.
We are happy because we don't have to play them. Money saved!
bro _HOW IS THE AI WORST THAN _*_HALF LIFE_*_ 1_ wtf ??
That game came out in 1998 . It has been 25 years since then . 25 years and THIS is what they put out with today's technology?
oh hell nah
L4d2 was perfection we didn’t appreciate enough and didn’t deserve 😂
Really like editing, especially small details like, you took Charlie position in-game, and put in AJ game :D
I still find it funny everytime a game title has the word fall in it.😂
The idea of going on coop missions against vampires is a cool concept.
Very sad they failed so hard.
I even cheated a little looking up a complete map to get the safe houses and I couldn't finish. There's nothing to do and all the guns are the same. Chose the sniper character and he has nothing to help him with sniping his ult can't even one shot vampires wtf is the point?
“I can do this forever!”
“I bet you can.”
😂
After playing the game, it would have benefitted a lot allowing you to actuall drive the ATV's you find around the map, the map is even designed wide enough that they probably intended to do that. Also they should have added Ghouls or "zombie" equivalent of vampires.
Gunplay sux ass overall. It feels like shooting nerf guns, there's no weight or satisfaction in the combat. Even the movement just feels exhausting, they should have allowed a stamina bar and allow you to go UBER FAST by putting your weapon away.
I love how whenever a game is genuinely bad they just write it off as review bombing like you can’t even leave an honest review anymore
NEXT GENERATION GAMING!
From Dishonored witches to this! Oh how the mighty have fallen!
That sounds kind of like modded project zomboid
@@Adagm Haven't heard of it, but I'm intrigued
Its kinda amazing how many apologists end up in Charlie's chat, the guy has been an online critic/cynic for like a decade at this point
Why do bad games have dedicated simps!? I'm baffled.
Or maybe they're just trolling
i think it's funny that the chuds who defended forspoken were determined to review bomb this game ass revenge for most of the internet review personalities shit canning it and found that arkane did half the work for them. every step towards release redfall just gave reasons why it was doomed to fail, always online even in single player, releasing an fps at 30 fps instead of 60 minimum.
It's so weird for bad games to have such delusional simps.
Even Darkest Days: Devil Hunt has people defending its worth.
I'll give Arkane one thing, they managed to create a game that is the perfect example of general AAA Games nowadays:
1. Nesting ground for bugs and glitches
2. boring and uninspired gameplay
3. lifeless open world
4. Overhyped Marketing and failed to deliver
5. a price tag that is straight up a scam
The fact the there are no story spoilers out for the ending is such a bad sign.
The ending is holding a button 3 times. You dont fight the last boss
is there a story to even spoil? all I see are just random missions and a vague idea of "save town from vampires".
11:12 you can see the same guy t-posing for a split second then he disappears LMFAO
Well, I guess the vampires have a realistic behavior if they are more than a hundred years old. Just confused, poor seniors.
EA was just across the street hiring these kids.
the crazy thing about all this is this game was 70$ i hate that triple A games are doing this now.
15:27 has to be the funniest moment in the video 😂
Cmon man even Oblivion's AI knows how to move around a box 😭
Instead using cultist they can use something like ghoul. It's human that get manipulated by vampire. Also the vampire so weak
Lamest AAA game
the "cutscenes" feel like story board placeholders. like they were ment to be replaced with actual scenes later
Looking at Cyberpunk after watching this video:
"Perhaps I treated you too harshly"
This is one of the games that came out in 2023. Definitely a contender for game of this year.
It may be a awful buggy mess, but at it has diversity and representation!!!!! 10/10
Yeah we don't claim this
It is very diverse in the ways it can suck
Yup, the a.i even reacts like socialists 😂😂😂
I'm a proud African-American to the point that I proudly proclaim.
WE DONT CLAIM THIS
@@noecarrier5035 nah man you need to hold these they were made by you for you
That one guy in Charlie's chat must have bought the deluxe edition or something trying to defend such a shitty game
people in chat: “oh its not that bad”
I seriously dont understand bro how anyone can defend this
Narrator: Oh, but it was.
@@masonlaw7628 There's this sub-culture of coddling devs.
Some people even defend shameless asset-flips.
bro far cry 5 AI and npc look so much nicer than this
These vampires are truly advanced they got those warframe shields working in no time.
and to think games that came out 10 years ago have better a.i.
never have I thought that batshit is a separate phrase, but that's an undoubtable example of this
Probably so that Journos won't bitch about the difficulty, so they made the AI this way.
My /only/ gripe is that not a single streamer in this video realizes how expensive cutscenes are lol
you neither. cutscene arent "expensive" (whatever that means). if you can animate a model and link it to a state machine to make it move somewhat well , you can use a timeline and make a cutscene . a dumb person with a month of using an engine can do that.
Gollum's coming for the title baybeeee
I swear, the trend of modern gaming isn’t to make the best gameplay, story or anything like that anymore. It’s a contest to see who rush out the most broken, boring, poorly written, lazily produced raw sewage.
Enjoyed! Love your editing work! Thanks!
*It's between this and gollum* 🤣
Vampires aren't Forklift Certified
geez this game. Like what you did with having the different streamers' clips together in the video to see their reactions in similar situations.
The game should've called Deadfall because literally everything in it (especially the AI) is so dead lol.
They beat Anthem.
Nvm, Gollum is a strong contender.
Freaking radroaches from fallout 4 are harder enemies than these clownshoes in this game.
2:17 Wait were Charlie and Angry Joe playing this game together???
This is the future.
so are you telling me that Arkane Studios who are responsible of making Dishonored 1 and 2 made this shit.
15:27 might be the greatest moment in gaming history
NA nade
20:05 Not even perfect timing compilations can rival this, it's not even funny it just is...
Edit: 22:55 aight...i found a new contender...
This dialogue sounds like it was written by forspokens developer 6:23.
This game should of never been multiplayer focused. They should of just focused on the story
How does the UV Light work if they're out in the sunlight unaffected??
this game was made for games journalists i swear
AAA Gaming, ladies and gents. $70 for this steaming shitpile, and *they're mad people don't like it.*
Utter garbage, just stop buying AAA games in general for a while. They're alpha releases at a 1.0 price that aren't ever really fixed. This is just stupid at this point.
Threat Level Midnight
21:12 "do you see me?" - Anton chigurh
$70 game btw
And people still defend tripple A games raising the prices of their games..... you're going to tell me this shit show is worth its price tag?
It's also interesting how Dead Island 2 got hardly any attention by anyone, despite being a good game that actually works, admittedly, the fact it is a rubbish store exclusive might have helped there, and I only have it because I got it for free with my GPU, but it is a well optimised bug free game, its also hella fun to play.
So not everything is lost, some games are actually worth their price tag.
I would've enjoyed this game as a toddler alongside Dora Saves The Mermaids and Barbie Horse Adventures
