No dude, stacking 2 batteries end-to-end doubles it's voltage - it'll burn out your laser right away. I also bought this laser - twice - both were like 50mw... or less
Also please note, i found that ALL ultrafire batteries from China are not actually rated at the mAh they advertise. All are really at an abismal 300mAh. Real ones top out at 3400mAh
DO NOT TRY TWO 16340 BATTERIES because those are each at 3.7v adding up to 7.4v which would ruin your laser very quickly. I'm not sure the exact reason but all gatling series Chinese lasers use a 7.4v battery set for blue and only 3.7v for red and green, I'm guessing its because the red and green are not always actually 1w.
Here’s a thought, it appears that you put in one 18650. Try two 16340s or whatever they are called (where two makes the same size as the 18650). When you add batteries together, you get more voltage; 3.7+3.7=7.4v. It may not be getting enough power.
dont think the two smaller batteries would work in this. the blue laser needs 7.4 volts, the red and green would fry at that voltage. i think that is, i dont want to potentially fry my new laser :D
the 2 battery you used in the blue laser should give you a higher voltage then the one this is using. maybe thats why it wasnt as bright? its a shame i really want a green laser that burns as easy as that blue one did but i dont want to pay wicked laser prices
I have the red 650nm laser with the same host, and they too said that its 1w, but its no where near that, its about 50-100mw, it still burns pretty nicely though. And the beam is a bit misaligned as well but its barely noticeable.

Hi! I like your reviews on these mini-gun styled lasers, i am thinking about buying one and then replacing the diode. Since you don't seem to care so much of this green laser, can you please put up a video when you disassemble the laser? It would be greatly appreciated!
Using 2 of the smaller batteries 16340 with a laser designed for an 18650 is a good way to burn up your laser diode right away. Blue lasers require more voltage 7.4v thats why they use 2 16340s at 3.7 v they add up to 7.4v 18650 are also 3.7v and the red and green lasers of this type don't need the higher voltage so DON'T use 2 16340s in place of one 18650!!!
I was getting ready to tell him the same thing when I read your comment. However that laser is so under powered I think I would give it a shot just to see if the batteries were wrong.. It is a throw away laser anyway if you have cheaper that work just as good.
Ouch, that kinda sucks. Massively under the advertised power and it has a crooked beam. I wouldn't expect the world from a $37 laser, but I'd at least expect it to be better than a $7 laser 303. An actual 1W green laser will cost you $300+.

I would jump to the forums and look for a way to fix that since it would bug me somewhat if I had that happen. 90mW and a misaligned beam, you might have gotten one that should have been rejected back to be adjusted. For those green ones I am seeing in the listing they are saying hard to burn anything. That might be a hint that they are truly not using a 1 watt diode in that one. I am also seeing those green ones often sold for much less than the blue. Maybe those are hints at something about the green one? I know the blue one works.

Just checking out the sight, interactions, thought I'd mention and hopefully add to,. You do know, that, when dealing with electrical devices such as this laser and the source that powers it, here the application that calls for the use a single 1x18650 3.7 vdc battery, Then 3.7vdc is the parameter, total, that has to be used, in it's design, to work. The smaller 16340 Li-ion is half the size but it's the same voltage,3.7vdc and so,yes, two will fit in place of one x18650 but being in series (+ -+ -) the total out- come would be x2 or 2 x 3.7 = 7.4vdc. that's to much ! there are few exceptions and reason is, the circuit design for 3+vdc burn's up! or and far more interesting is that the diode, which is normally stable, dormant like and giving off no light is pushed electrically and amplified to the point of change, where it finally peak's out, becomes unstable and begins to "LASE" or LASING and so,.. a LASER. Very critical place, this lasing threshold, lower the volts and the laser stops lasing, no light.. Then there's something, that like you'r self and the rest of us, is the thought off attempting to double the battery's and use HIGHER VOLTAGE yes, and It works, double pump, optical pump, higher volts they all stimulate diode response and initiate"photon emission" BUT they are already doing it .! They have all ready done it TO YOUR LASER.That one watt, the 532 nm green. Of course they are, not probably, without a doubt. They are using the smallest diode's that are still practical and driving them with the highest voltage amplification possible, to get the best, strongest, stimulated response of photon emission. This being the most cost efficient and I'm sure they want to be. wow, I've been talking typing. SO, ,With all this in mind, if you are going to replace the use of single battery, with two smaller battery's of the same type and voltage and this doubles the voltage you'r now supplying and the circuitry doesn't prevent it. Then that lasers diode is going to lase out of control, over heat so fast it will probably turn into dust. amen well I got caught up here and got togo and I appreciate watching you'r video's as you go into detail, keeping thing's interesting and I always something and get a fair opinion from you'r reviews. What's better 1w or 5mw
Prestige PvP 1mw is 1/1000 of a watt. So 1 watt
Kyle Tapia thx and holy shiiiiiiii
Thanks so much man! I might have bought this without knowing it is not worth the price! You just saved me $37 😂😂
Happy to help!
+XM360 just curious, what state do you live in?
+Denis Protsko MA
+XM360 oh ok for some reason I thought you lived in WA :)
@@dpr_206Western Australia 🌏? Did you mean 😅 I am from Queensland and want a blue one of them that is much stronger than a cheap 303
that is not a 1w 532nm laser. perhaps 100mw max, probably 30mw.
4:36 green beans are better 😂
I almost regretted getting the blue instead of the green until I seen this video
I just received two of them today, but I need the charger and batteries for this item
Whats do You Expect for 30$
So this is 90mw.. So if I was to buy a 100mw laser "Module" it wouldn't be much brighter. good, because i was about o shell out 35 dollars for a 100mw usb 5v module.
I turn it on for more than 3 minutes.. and its crystaloid diode die forever :(
This laser is really bad I got this one a year ago it could barely burn any thing and didn't work well at all spend the extra few dollars for the blue one the green one is really bad
I hoped this helped
Need to make them in the 40 watt range
I'm glad it's not just me. I bought the exact same laser. It doesn't burn anything. No instructions. No batteries (had to buy mine separately). Very disappointing.
Are u sure ? Mine worked
@@nd-1213, I got a knock off brand I think. Looks the same, doesn't work.
Do a giveaway on a lazer
Buy yourself
Looks more 520nm then 532nm but it maybe the camera.
what is "nm" ?
nanometer, which refers to the wavelength or color of the laser beam
XM360 thanks
Looks like something from Men in Black
Do you have the red one?
I got the same lazer when I got is it sat is was blue buts it's green
