I am glad you mentioned the amp times the voltage of the unit determines the load and so a 48 V 200 amp will power a 9600 watt load (inverter), I have a 10.2 kW hybrid inverter with a limit of 8800 watts because I placed a 40 amp breaker on the AC out of the inverter to prevent damage to the inverter and that also should limit the amp from the battery to 183 a. Even if the battery is in the 80% DOD around 40 volts it will be at 220 amps (8800/40=220). I think I will go to 250 for the sake of the future unknown.
Really enjoy your Daly videos thanks so much for the valuable information. Do you plan to sell/review the Daly "Parallel BMS" units? I was hoping these parallel modules could be used on existing smart BMS's, but it appears you need to order the parallel module and smart bms together as one unit? A lot of DIYers want to parallel multiple stand-alone daly battery packs, and this seems to be the only way. Cheers guys!
We have some of the parallel protection units as well as their new balancing units. We got them in this week, so we'll be doing reviews on those and probably offering them on our store as well.
Im working on a parallel setup. First time building one. You said the 2 battery connection cables should not go to the same battery? If the batteries vicinity to each other change i could make a retractable extension correct? Would i need to add the same amount of wire to the battery that the bms wont move from?
Can you help me please with figuring out how to attach this to my lap top a d look at the app or explain toe how the uart stuff works. The Bluetooth kinda works but I'm not sure on making this work right
I just received my 300 amp daly smart bms today. It's 8s... 24 volt. So I hooked it up and it works kinda but the Bluetooth disconnects alot and is kinda aggravation to adjust stuff in the app. The one thing I'm actually having questions about is the cell balance part. It don't seem to be balancing at all. I see the numbers jump around and the blue, black boxes switch randomly but I'm not seeing any balancing. Maybe it's such small amounts of current its not detected correctly. I see numbers changing but seems to me it's not really balancing correctly because my voltage is still just as far of a difference as when I first connected it 12 hours ago
My Daly's are nothing but junk. Bluetooth problems, setting parameter problems, touchscreen problems, LCD going blank problems, lack of proper balance current for our big batteries nowadays. Are you not having these issues??? I'll stick with JK. My JK 200 amp with a two amp balance comes with 2 - 7ga wires coming out of each side.
We'd had very few problems with Daly BMS. So far we've had a handful of them that have given us problems after having set up hundreds of them for customers. We also use very good matched cells, which might also hide any issues in the BMS? When did you purchase yours? I wonder if they've improved recently maybe? We have some JK BMS on order, so will be keen to give those a try! :)

Good Information however the audio is over peaking and distorting if you can bring down mike level.
Thanks for the tip. :)

@@offgrid_power Great to hear, thanks!!
Is the 150a bms will be enough for a 320ah 24v battery and a 3000 victron multiplus inverter?
What is the best cable size for 4s 320ah bms positive extention

I’ve just received my 100A thanks, but had no balance leads and came with two dongles is this right. Many thanks. 🇬🇧
Hi John. No, that doesn’t sound right. Do you mind just emailing us a photo of what was in the package and we’ll get that corrected ASAP.
Our email is hello@offgridvan.life
@@offgrid_power I have sent you a photo, Many thanks.

So you can now see how it is with sponsored channels - if you ask problematic question on the product the guy is not answering...
Hi sir how much price for 48 v bms
So can the big 300 amp one be hooked up to two battery packs? Like a 32 wire
Good video. Thanks
Pourquoi les câbles bleus et noirs négatifs sont petit ? 6AWG pour 150A ???
Car du 6awg supporte 150A…
