How is it possible these videos about the history of depictions of deities in a video game series has taught me more about mythology than any class? Also Was the line “what may be giving the game too much credit” directed just at that use of Thoth, or the game itself. Because if it’s the later I always thought it was generally a well liked little game.
Oh no, I love Synchronicity Prologue, I just meant I dunno if the people who made it were actually like "What if you had to use your brains to bypass Thoth specifically BECAUSE he's a wisdom deity!"
Awesome entry as always! I love this series so much its really entertaining and educational. If you haven't done him already, would you consider doing Lugh for a future episode? He's one of my favorite deities. Keep up the awesome work!
Wait, one of Thoth's alternate names is Jehuty? Isn't that the name of one of the mechas in Zone Of The Enders? I am kinda disappointed that there wasn't at least 1 Donkey Kong reference in this video!
In my play through of Smt IV apocalypse I had Thoth on my team for a long time. He was really strong and he had almighty attacks. Unfortunately in order to beat one of the most annoying bosses Quetzalcoatl I fused him into I believe Lailah who has been on my team for the entire game. Also I really love this series can't wait for the next episode
yeah i read kane chronicles before playing any smt games so seeing them use the baboon when i only saw him as one of his symbols and not the animal he was depicted as was weird also wasnt there another Egyptian moon god
Sooooooo, how is it that you've done almost 50 episodes of this show, yet you haven't done an episode about the mascot of the franchise?, you know... Jack frost
I really want an ibis Thoth in at least one SMT game. The baboon design just doesn't do it for me and it sucks that one of my favorite mythological characters is just... a monkey with a book instead of a cool bird man.
IF SHE BREATHS
SHE'S A THOOOOOTH!
Thoth was a pain in Strange Journey haha

Strain42 that’s what I assumed, and I wouldn’t put it past the devs for that to have been a coincidence
Because games, also because we have a choice to learn about this stuff instead of going to school and learning about something we don't wanna learn.
Really love this series! Keep it up!
Listening to you series was enjoyable I would like to hear about the ultimate death persona Alice
Well then you're in luck. I'm actually working on an Alice episode right now. I'm not sure when it'll be up, but that one is already in the works.

the main one, in fact!

This must have been a fun episode to record just look at how many times you got to say “Tris Magis Tis”
It IS really fun to say.
Up until now I always thought Thoth wore a little hat. The more you know.

Yeah, if I remember correctly the name should Khonsu.
In ancient greek, Thoth's name was written as Θώθ
As such, as a curious knowledge got I bring you a curse...
*Clears throat*
Θώθ : "What is this?"
Oh god, Thoth isn't the god of moon, he is the god of the 21st century.
@@vikinggamer7727 No, that would be the frog headed god of chaos Pepe
@@TheBlackSerpentBeta all i see is "god of chaos" but not the 21st century god.
@@vikinggamer7727 I think you missed the bit where I said its name was Pepe
As in, Pepe the Frog
The lord of meme magic
@@TheBlackSerpentBeta i didnt say anything about memes, i mean the years and the human world.
For some reason I was expecting a I r baboon reference lol
Thoth is like that one episode where he and Weasel got their brains swapped and he became I. M. Baboon.
Make video about Yaksiny
Do takemikazuchi from the mainline
Are you gonna do Yaksini next?
Kinda wierd that in SMT Thoth is depicted as a baboon while other games like smite depicts him as a long beak bird
Forget Bird return to Baboon
Did you know that Thoth's greek name is literally OwO
Important detail you forgot:
He's a cutie.
Demonic Addendums:
Shin Megami Tensei 5: Thoth occupies an Abcess in North Shinagawa.
thoth is just a fun lil guy who let me megidola half of p4g
(Don't know if anyone asked this question but I just want know)
Favorite demon?
Off the top of my head, Mothman, but I'm sure if I sat down and really REALLY thought about it that may change...but yeah, probably Mothman.
Could you talk about Dante from yhe devil may cry series next?
TOHT-OH

It's almost like I'm saving him for a special milestone episode ;P
