Excellent tip about the grease in the flex shaft. Should be greased after every couple runs because that is what helps keep water out of the hull along with the top seal.
Pro Bowl makes great products without a doubt no matter what this boat is it is a big no for me especially when they're using a receiver that is not waterproof that completely baffles my mind and you hit the nail on the head most of the boats should come with some kind of tools and some Grease but they got to keep them costs down LOL but again I am baffled about not seeing a waterproof receiver that just baffles the mind
You could, but that's not what this boat is meant for. If you want a specific engine and esc it's better to buy a hull you like and build the boat yourself. This is a boat that is meant to be ready to run. Pop in the batteries, switch on the controller, switch on the boat and go. Simple and easy. A good boat to learn but feisty enough to still be plenty of fun for a seasoned , experienced 'driver'.
can you recommend a RC boat with good build quality? All the ones ives seen have complaints of not functioning after some uses bc of water getting into the components.
HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY LAST IF YOU RUN THE MOTOR NO FASTER THAN 2mph???? Most of the time 1.5-2.0 mph!!!!!!! Gonna use it to troll RAPALAS since I lost my fishing boat
The Recoil2 doesn't really like slow speed. You can get quite a long run if you give it just enough trotle so the boat lifts its hull out of the water (about 5 to 7 Mph). If the speed is too low,the hull needs to plow trough the water wich creates lots of drag and friction and just makes the boat a lot less efficient. And a little side-note : the boat is actually quicker than the video demonstrates. If you have a nice smooth water surface,it'll just fly over it. I really like this boat .
I don't agree. True,200$ isn't super cheap;but you get a very descent boat for that money. And this video doesn't do the boat justice either. This isn't a boat designed for rough water, but rather to go high speed on a smooth water surface. You CAN use it on rougher water, but obviously it won't reach top speed if half the time the propellor is out of the water because your boat is jumping waves. And there are cheaper boats out there. But when they flip over, you better paddle fast, because they can't turn themselves over. Or they're slower,or if something brakes you can't replace the part...etc etc. The price difference is always somewhere. So in my opinion, not overpriced, just paying for quality. But of course, maybe your needs and expectations of your boat are different to mine. So it's possible that your type of boat suits your needs better.

This boat is flat out Awesome! Nice review Greg!
Wow, sharp looking boat. Looks good with that polished aluminum. Love that 80s styling too.
Nice . New Captains , chose the shore with Wind in your face . A spinning reel outfit with 20lb test & tennis ball @ the end , can be handy ,also.
Very valuable, I thought of this when I was looking at her in the Lilly pads 😂
Awesome Greg 🎉 yeah we need more boat releases
This is definitely the coolest boat design I have ever seen. Do you guys think I should get this for my dad for his birthday
If your dad likes RC, then yes!
Yes

Will a bigger battery pack fit into it? I wanna get this boat but wanna run it for at least 15 minutes
A question, friend, how long does the battery charge last when sailing?
Spray corrosion x on the receiver!!
Great beginner boat for the wife or kids
Didn't know they renamed the Sonic Wake to the Shockwave lol
Great review
Nice little boat Love the color scheme 🤙
Just picked up another SonicWake its my favorite!
Nice! Love the SonicWake.
@@rcdriverwow this tiny boat handles well. It looks to be correct size to pull behind 10 scale trail trucks too! Where is the trailer?!
First! Now with sound!
Yup, reloading Axial now. No clue what happened, my file had audio.
hi could you put a bigger esc & motor in it,

That's fast
Why would they not use a reciever box? These boats always always get water in them, which usually doesn't matter when the reciever is sealed.

How fast is it great video and boat
+25Mph
Cool!❤🎉
Can the stickers be removed? Id like to make my own retro livery.
lower hull is sticker. upper is printed ink. you need a sandpaper
Cannot run in sbrackish water with proper care?
The salt water will ruin everything, I ran my Traxxas blast in the ocean and it basically ruined it
@@William-McCueRC ah thanks for the reply

It doesn’t have a water proof receiver
Axial?) Where are u?)
Re-uploading. No audio for some reason. I love technology. 😆
🔥👍
Völlig überteuert Fuer einen 45 cm Kahn
My 18" WL is quicker than this thing.. proboat is way too over priced
