I think the problem of this challenge is that Fiend Folio is balanced by putting many powerful items in the pools, but you only get glizzy in this challenge, which is a bad item in terms of Feind Folio. If the item is sausage, you will breeze through this run.
I really like Fiend Folio, both for design choices and the fact it's more difficult, the more demanding enemies help to keep sharp! Even tho I'm not been playing with Fiend Folio for a long time now, because it slows the Game down a Ton when there are other big mods installed.
i think this could be revisited with libra to make the stat ups more meaningful after hitting the speed cap and taking away some of the ludicrous shot speed and putting it towards more useful stats
That much movement speed without any defensive items is worse than moving normal speed IMO. Add to that the insane shot speed and you've got a recipe for disaster.
It would be cool to see this again but starting with placebo and 2 pill slots (shot speed down and health down) - I feel like that would make the challenge a lot more fair
this might've been stronger with libra, ngl, cuz it would take the speed you would be getting and the extra range and putting it into damage and tears...
imo the difficulty of FF comes from the fact that there are 8 trillion new enemies and every single one of them has to have a creative and unique and new attack pattern. just like in vanilla Isaac, you can get used to them, but it just takes a lot of time considering there are 8 trillion of these aforementioned new enemies. tldr skill issue
@@krist0king wrath of the lamb is only as hard as repentance, in my experience. even on hard mode, i havent had that much trouble. the hardest part ive had is the game lagging due to being made in flash
