    1 Don't put a label on it other than doing what Jesus commended.
    2 Look at everyone as needing the gospel. Live it proclaim it. Let your light shine.
    3 Go where the need is greatest.
    4 Above all follow the leading of Holy Spirit, where to go, who to talk to, what to say.
    5 Make sure you are prayed up, and have others praying for you. You are entering into a war zone.
    6 Read Ephesians all of it. Chpt 1 reassures of who we are and whose we are. Chpt 2-5 what we need to do before going into battle and chpt 6 what weapons we need to use. That we are clothed with Christ. We must pray in the Spirit.

    This is simple, yet encouraging advice about how to reach others and speak about Jesus. I felt so discouraged yesterday, as I felt a strong urge to evangelise to a young girl on the train, I felt like God really wanted to encourage her and give her hope but I was too stuck in "I can't" "I will fumble on my words", "what if she isn't receptive" and "people are going to look at me sideways" that I watched her got off the train and did not get to evangelise. But I believe there is a lesson God will teach me from that experience and God will guide someone else to speak to her in Jesus's name. But this video has shown me that evangelism doesn't have to be spooky and "thus sayeth the Lord", just having a simple conversation and weaving Jesus into it can go a long way :) Thank you

      This happens to me from time to time as well. I've partly learned to obey the prompting, though at times it can be awkward (like your story on a train) or inconvenient (will make me late for something) and I sometimes get it right and other times drop the ball. However I've learned from a friend of mine that if she feels led to share the gospel with someone on the train she will write a note to the person and hand it to them. Don't know if that will help you in the future, but thanks for sharing your story. God's richest blessings as you continue to reach others for Christ.

      God bless you. I don’t know where you are right now from that post but I know exactly what you’re thinking. How interesting it is when you see other people say they ‘feel like they can’t talk’, yet from our perspective they do so well. We just seem to underestimate ourselves and or listen to our flesh. One thing that encourages me too is that I think evangelism helps not only the person, but it helps us too. We are using our Ephesians garments and we are able to grow more In love with God I think. Proverbs11:25 : ) if we have garments we will also be more readily prepared for the evil day. Thank you for helping me realize too this is in my head! I’m not weird enough to reach out! amen!?

    I have a friend who street evangelizes in California. He somewhat derides me for not having his boldness or evangelizing the same way as him. I've been conflicted bcs I'm not as bold as he is. At the same time, he comes down like a ton of bricks and he encounters a lot of hostility. He doesn't agree about taking the time to build a rapport as it takes too long. He says you have to share the gospel everywhere, like the checkout line or gas pumps. God bless him! I don't think we are all Billy Graham, even though I share his first name and birthday... I've finally made peace with idea that we are all different. This video helps me to realize I'm not failing God or the unsaved. I'm here bcs I have time now and I want to have a purpose in my after work life. I can't think of a higher purpose than leading people to Jesus.

    This video helped me a lot. My church wants to get involved in my college. I'll be starting and co-leading a crew, with absolutely nothing (no guarantee people to show up like people I know). The simplification of how to evangelize really helped me especially the power of one topic. Much appreciated gentlemen!

    I agree with the prayer to ask God for guidance on who to evangelize to , and how ! I told the person I could do whatever I wanted and brushed past her shoulder and remained disrespectful for a while TO MY FRIEND when she told me about God . I ALSO WENT TO CHURCH WITH MY FAMILY sometimes !!! I prayed before I ate but I didn’t change till I came to God for myself . But let me tell you how much I needed help and my friend helped me so much PLEASE SEEK GOD FOR COUNSEL AMD GODLY WISDOM! I said no to God first but later I said yes ! Don’t be discouraged God knows what He’s doing let Him use you. Now I’m on fire for God 🗣❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🔥

      Update it happened !
      The day after I prayed this my car broke down & my dads car broke down and my God Grandma had to utilize her home nurse to pick me up and pick up food donations for her ministry ( my God Grandma doesn’t drive unless TOTAL EMERGENCY)
      A man in the car was talking to me about my family I never met him and he didn’t know me but knew my uncles ( I hadn’t talked with the people he was talking about in years ) I explained I take my walk with God serious and I didn’t hang around certain family because they did certain things …. So fast forward the man is gone and the woman who was driving the whole time told me she felt like she could tell me and her struggle God had given me the word to say to her and it hit her heart she ended up in tears and I was shocked

    I believe the intentionality of relationship with one individual and earning the right to be heard is often overlooked in evangelism.
    but there are definitely times that we need share Christ right away because of maybe someone is suicidal, someone we might not ever see again and we don’t know how long that person has, love compels us. Not every situation is the same, so it’s more nuanced.
    Being instructed by the scriptures and influenced by the holy spirt is paramount in whatever “type” of evangelism approach we have.

    Also, don’t forget you can just tell people the Gospel. Like open a conversation with a stranger, and make your way to the Gospel. You don’t “HAVE to” connect with them on some deeper level first - though that is “one” way. But if you did it that way, you’d only ever really share the Gospel with a few people. But you can share the Gospel every day, multiple times per day by simply asking a stranger “How are you?” They reply Good, how about you? You reply “Blessed! Jesus forgave me of my sin!” And just lead right into the Gospel. They don’t “Need to” know you “care” first. I feel like that’s over complicating it. In Acts people just got right to the point. I’m not saying “don’t try to connect first” I’m just saying… Maybe do that too, but if you had to choose - simply sharing the Gospel is way more scalable.

    Lord Jesus ... Let love rain, like sweet mercy from heaven. Let mercy flow like waves and waves flowing richly from the heart of God. May love arise ... may mercy come forth ... may love and mercy bring forth hearts of compassion. Compassion for the lost, compassion for the thirsty, compassion for the hungry, compassion for the poor, compassion for the homeless, compassion for others. Not in just words or deeds done, but from the depths of the heart seeking to give Glory to God through open arms embracing the needs of others. May we look with the heart of God. May we see with his eyes or mercy and compassion and may we do all things to His Glory. For the river of God is love, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is sweet mercy, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is compassion, may they see it in our eyes, hear it from our hearts and see it through open arms embracing the needs of others. --- May we place others even before ourselves and all love like Jesus.

    It is interesting that the woman on the well is mentioned in the video (Jn 4). The questions I would ask about this passage are the following:
    How much time did Jesus spent with this woman before?
    => none - He met her for the first time
    How much time did Jesus spent to talk about "neutral" stuff (like hip-pop)?
    => none - He went straight to the heart and told her about "the living water"
    He turned the conversation towards the gospel and used imagery of that very situation
    How did Jesus talk to her? Why did she say to the other people "come and see a man who told me all things I have done. Is He the Messiah"?
    => Because Jesus convicted her of her sins
    adultery - having more than one husband)

How many times we planned to share the gospel and we miss the opportunity because we never saw the person anymore . Proclaiming the gospel is urgent..we are on the last days..you can build your relationship after...and its much better because there is no pretense of motives. You have already showed your motive.

      Meaningful conversation is evangelism. It may not be how YOU do it, but it is evangelism and is probably more effective as the repore is being built and disciple is more prone to come out of it as opposed to saying something and not seeing the individual again. Proclaim means to declare officially or publicly. A person can have a meaningful conversation and still proclaim the gospel.

      @@sgt7 In my country street evangelizing is the most effective method. We (about 40 christians from my church) go in the center of our city and evangelize every Saturday and we approach people boldly, one on one usually, share the Gospel, give an invitation to church and that's how most of the members of our church came to Christ. Myself included. It matters how you approach people, and if the Gospel is presented, then you've done your part, the rest God will do, because it is not the power of your talking or charisma or friendlyness, but the power of the Gospel itself, the power of the Holy Spirit to bring conviction after hearing the Gospel, the power of God, whether they are convicted on the spot or in time. Even the Holy Spirit promps us to go 'preach' to certain people on the streets or in specific places.
      Ray Comfort from Living Waters gives us a great example on evangelizing on the streets.

      @@Premariss97 Really? I thought it says in the scriptures that people will know you by your love for one and other? Also, my experience tells the opposite story. Most people I have talked to have absolutely no interest in being preached to - regardless of what is being preached (Christianity, Islam, feminism). There are exceptions I'm sure. But really, I think I have met maybe two people in my whole life who was happy to be preached to by a Christian street preacher.
      Now, I can understand how some backsliding Christians might be interested in being reminded about their faith. But non-Christians? I find it hard to believe.
      And bringing/scaring some people into the group does not mean it is effective. Any method will bring a small number of people to almost any belief system.

  • @sgt7
    @sgt7 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Here's a question. Is evangelical Christianity really good news?
    For the sake of the argument, I'm going to assume evangelicism is true. This means that most people are going to hell. This is what mainstream evangelism believes.
    Even if I am saved, how could I call the world view of evangelicism "good news"? Existence is profoundly tragic. History will end with most people in hell while a few elect will enjoy heaven. This is not good news. If the price of my existence requires that someone else be created who is going to hell then surely it would be more humane to simply not have created anyone in the first place.
    Evangelism is bad news.

    • @jonezy56
      @jonezy56 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Evangelism is sharing the good news that God has provided a way for us to be forgiven and have eternal life. By sharing the bad news that we are sinners and deserving of hell we are able to make the good news make sense. Yes, Evangelism often sounds like bad news if done correctly, until the mercy and love of God is explained through all that Jesus accomplished on the cross and by His resurrection. TEZ, the call is to trust in Jesus. To repent and put your faith in Him alone. Doing Evangelism is not telling people that God is sending them to hell, but that He has provided a way for you to have a forgiven relationship with Him now in spite of deserving hell.

    • @sgt7
      @sgt7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonezy56 Well I'm sorry but you are logically wrong. We are talking about Calvinism here. Calvinists, which are who I am talking about, claim that God predestined some to heaven and some to hell. So the full honest story would go something like this:
      *Most people have no hope (including your loved ones). It's likely that some of them will burn in hell screaming forever. You might be one of them. However, God chose a minority of people to go to heaven. You or some of your loved ones might be one of the chosen ones who will enjoy bliss forever.*
      No humane person in their right mind would see this as good news. If this "gospel" was true, it would be better if we all just got annihilated at death.
      I would rather be annihilated by God than tell him how just he is for giving my loved ones no hope and then throwing them to the flames.
      I'm not referring to you personally, but I think there are some evangelicals watching this video who do not understand what Calvinism is and how they are being influenced by this doctrine.

    • @l.craftvideo4484
      @l.craftvideo4484 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see what you're saying but since it would seem to be God's will that we do exist - and none of us were consulted before being brought into existence - the question seems to be where do we go from here? Should evil continue indefinitely with no punishment? Should the wicked be rewarded with everlasting life so they can continue taking advantage of the powerless forever? Is it more humane to allow the darkness to thrive forever than to bring it to a rightful end at some future time, and in the meantime giving every human a choice which side they will choose? Anyone who repents of their evil can be forgiven and live in the light because of Jesus' work on the cross. That is very good news indeed.

    • @sgt7
      @sgt7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@l.craftvideo4484 But surely evil will thrive for eternity if evangelism is true. Most people will be in hell. Rebellion against God will never end. Suffering will only increase. People will be burning in hell for eternity. Hate will continue forever.
      Under evangelicism, evil is definitely not over in the end. It is merely quarantined. Evil is not overcome by good. Just dumped in a different dimension.
      And the fact that these non-elect are burning alive in hell hardly neutralizes any evil done in the past or present. It merely adds to it.
      If I retaliate against someone for breaking my arm by burning them alive that doesn't make everything good in the end. It is an eye for two eyes.
      No for me, it is still terrible news. An awful end.

    • @l.craftvideo4484
      @l.craftvideo4484 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But you know, I feel your pain & frustration too. I struggle with understanding how God can send people to hell that, at least in my view, havent done anything so awful as to 'deserve' that. I don't have a great answer and I'm not sure what hell exactly involves beyond separation from God. But I'm reminded that God's holiness is like a consuming fire. Being in his presence requires not some human-level goodness but true righteousness - something God is willing to give us but only if we turn to him to receive it. If you imagine God being like the sun, in your natural state you'd burn up in its radiance. We have little understanding of God's holiness but this i believe is a key factor why a spiritual transformation - one we cannot accomplish on our own - is needed and why only God himself through Jesus can even make this possible. I hope this helps and I hope you can sense the love God has for you and for humanity in that he provides a way for mortals to be transformed into something like angels.
