    You know, I've done this and it STILL got craters. I was so upset because it seems to work so well for everyone else. 😢

      So sorry to hear that! Piping over a crusted over base is always the top way to avoid craters, but this has been the second best thing for me, lol! I have to almost destroy the area where I intend to fill in with icing, though, instead of just simply poking a few holes if the base is fully dry. I know it’s frustrating! 😩
