I miss movies like these. I know it takes a long time and that some would say they are outdated. I love the classic Wallace and grommet style of clay stop animation.
Me too. Ive grown up with this style of animation and there is an underlying appreciation for something complex in this style of animation. I definitely praise the animation team for a well developed experience and character development. I will look forward to seeing more of these in years to come
I love how Captain, falling towards the propeller and about to become mincemeat, knowing he has failed to save Polly and both of them are about to die... ...chooses to wrap his body around Polly protectively with Polly on top so he'd hit the propeller first. That way his assured death will buy Polly just a few more moments of life... and maybe even the TINIEST chance that a chunk of his body being flung back out might knock Polly away from the propeller to comparative safety. Not to mention that it also meant that the last thing he would ever do is hug the person he was trying to save.
I really liked the ending, not just the music, but the entire crew working together. The entire world knowing the Captain’s name makes me think of One Piece.

That's what an antagonist is, doesn't mean she is a villain she's just an antagonist that doesn't like sea bandits (pirates) which is our protagonist of the movie, she isn't evil or villain
