supernova`s load to much material in a very wide angle, very easy to get runs. so, many painters to avoid this increase speed and distance from the panel that translate to orange peel. there are some painters here that love that gun but yet if you see their work is full of orange peel , much more than factory grade. meanwhile with the Pro Lite you can match factory peel with TE20 and with the same gun you can swap the T110 for custom work , etc. also the rest of the caps and needles in various specs makes this guns very versatile. is also very friendly and predictable gun that is very helpful for a beginner. I also found that you can test various materials and clears much easier with the Gti Pro setups. all the best and many thanks to Gunman , full respect!
Gunny, I just ordered one with the T110 and 1.3 & 1.4 tip. Gonna try painting some shit next year in the early spring. Thanks for all your videos. Gonna be a big help when I get going doing small custom work using candies. Gonna paint my motorcycle and the ZL1 spoiler that I bought for my Camaro.
I’ve emailed him several times over the past few years and has always been outstanding. Now I did get a snippy response once from one of the women who told me they didn’t have a certain fluid tip for my Pri Pro. Finally after the third time of telling her to ask Chris she actually did and later apologized and sent it right out.
Hello Gunman I left comment about 5 years ago about guns in the past I got away from painting cause my house needed repairs I purchase a devilbiss got pro lite I never got chance to use it but I’m looking to get back in to painting I miss it so looking at your videos makes me want paint again I may try both t110 and te20 thanks again

Hi Gunman! Thanks for the reviews! Any advice for a complete newbie looking to spray guitars and furniture? On the guitars it’ll probably be nitrocellulose lacquer and on the furniture water based floor varnish amongst other coats. Looking for advice for which gun and nozzle size. I’d just be spraying outdoors against some cardboard, very amateur! I was looking at the flg5 or the gpi?

I spoke with Ian of Spraygunsdirect customer service, worked 30+ years for Devilbiss, and he told me to always go for the Lite version. They share the same needle etc that’s true but they have a totally different internal, the Lite has a much more modern internal and different air vale. With practice the Lite version should spray a lot better. Don’t shoot me for this because I’m just the messenger and these words are Ian’s. So that’s why I didn’t buy this gun as soon as it came in the online store.

I am using a Devilbliss GPi gun to spray acrylic (1.8mm tip). Bit confused on the spray pressure for 1K. I am using PPG Dulon acrylic which recommends about 45 PSI. The gun manual states around 29 PSI and all the videos on youtube state around the 20-25 PSI mark What is your opinion?
What’s your favorite gun to spray sealer out of, not worried about price, I usually spray out of my base guns but I’m at the point now where I want a separate gun for everything if you could do a review on your favorite sealer gun that would be awesome!
it's not just the gun its the way he lays it as to be one of the best sprayers in the world love this guy if you gave him the worst gun in the world he would lay it nice I have the gti pro lite I try my best to emulate this guy, as most of us do that watch his video's but somehow I can never replicate the way his gun is set up I try his settings and all but trial and error never get it quite right, would like to know the compressor he is using and what bore the airlines are as this will affect the way the gun perform s.what cfm is req for the compressor, etc

However i feel abit unsecure on this mather. I got x2 Devilbiss GTI pro lite's with 1.3 Needle and 1 is the TE20 Cap and the Other one is the HVLP HV30 Cap. im Looking to use 1 gun for each application, 1 Clear,1Base,1Primer. Money isnt an issue, i plan on diving into this, im sort of a perfectionist. So what im asking is would you use / Change anything about the hardware i have today to specify it for either Base,Clear and what Primer gun would u recommend with what setup.
I still love my GTi Pro with a T2 aircap great for any European clear coat. I don't think there is a great difference between T2 and TE 20 what do you think gunny
They're identical, they just changed the name when pro lite came out, I guess you create the illusion of something different. I've had them dude by side and I could not see any difference. They don't even sell the older caps anymore.
Hi Gunny , I am planing to buy a new Tekna Prolite here in the states (New Jersery) . All the Pro lite's i see for sale do not have the small air adjusting valve on the bottom. The Devilbis parts list states that the air valve is optional. I see your pro lite has this valve. Do i need this? Your video's are great and i am learning tons.
You don't need it as long as you have a cheater valve. It's a good idea to get one so you can gauge the pressure you're using. I believe in USA they usually sell one with the gun, it comes in a kit with a bolt on digital gauge that will have a pressure adjustment valve on it.
You’ve sold me on the GRI Pro lite. I’m going with 1.3 with the T110 for clear coats. I restore old cars, so I want the finish is flat and glassy as possible. I’m in NY and it’s worth the extra 💰 to order from SGD. You can buy on eBay or Amazon but their are more fakes than real ones. When the Tekna ProLite first came out I ordered one through Summit Racing but since then they literally marked them up nearly $200 over what I paid.

I like my 400’s but to me there fans are always heavy on tops and bottoms shallow in the middle, but there still top of the line mine just sit though just not crazy about fan not being even

I just got my gti pro lite, with t110 cap, 1.2 1.3 tip. The reason they use CD is they are from UK, they just got internet last year.

The Iwata has a smaller mist zone then the Dev. Thats why they are less forgiving.

I thought I did that in this video. But basically the TE20 is more efficient and faster but will leave you with a little more orange peel.

@@williamshelton349 - if you want a dead flat smooth finish get the T110. I only do restorations so flat is expected. I only use the 1.3
