Ah the old Carvin Co. Glad to see they are still at it, they've made some great quality instruments for a long time. That guitar is a Beauty and sounds fantastic.
The two guitars I own that are my favorites are Carvin. I have the older Holdsworth pickups and they sound really good. I recommend looking for the old H22T bridge humbucker used if you want to try something new in the Bridge. I think it’s even better than the Kiesel Holdsworth one.
I had an Aries built for me by Kiesel a couple of years ago with deleted bevels and a non-pointy headstock and it looks modern, but also a bit classic and not too metal. The thing plays beautifully and is a joy to make music with. I dont see myself ever getting rid of it. The one in this vid looks great and makes me wanna hit up their website again.
Thanks to Kiesel for working with me on this amazing guitar. Just a quick correction. While I modelled this off the CT-6, the body shape is an SH-6 thanks to the semi-hollow design. I went off my original spec sheet! Check it out www.kieselguitars.com/series/guitar/sh6 🎸 (edit - updated link)
Back when they were Carvin, I bought a full custom super strat style metal machine. It's still a sick guitar to this day. Don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

Thanks, Chris. Sadly, the amp actually died a few days ago (this was shot a a couple of weeks ago) and it's one of the last videos the amp shows up in, but it was a great combination.
I love my Kiesel, but I was not a fan of the pickups they put in mine. I far prefer the sound of the 58/15 LT pickups in my PRS, or the Tradbucker PAFs in my Gibson. So I ended up swapping the pickups out for a set of 58/15 LTs. Now it’s perfect. I wish I had asked for the headstock to match the body though. But other than that, I love it.
Thanks for the info mate. They really do sound great. I had a chance to test it live on the weekend and it had such a nice sound. Glad to hear you're a fan of them as well. The pickups really surprised me as I've never tried their Humbuckers before.
Oh shit! Thanks Shane🙄 another great looking and sounding beast...that's added to my "I want...but will never have" list. Great work man👍 the new studio is looking great also.
I’ve wanted a Kiesel for years now and have spent countless hours on their guitar builder website. I saw they’re now offering trems on their multi scale guitars… for right handed only. This news made me skip their Black Friday sale this year in hopes of a lefty multi scale with a trem next year.

I've owned I think 7 Kiesels (still have 2) and used to be on their site building guitars most every day but the 30-40% escalation in prices over the past year or two and longer wait times have thrown a heavy cold wet blanket on that activity. Guitar sounds killer Shane! Looks good too! On another subject are you still using chicken picks? If so on average how long does a pick last you? I've just switched to the badazz iii and it's a game changer!
Here's the important question…do they do it in a 22 fret? PRS has been killing me. I've been wanting a new CE for a while now, they only do the 24. Then they break my heart further by doing a semihollows CE 24, which would be f'cking great. I don't really need another Gibson sounding guitar, so the maple neck and being a bolt-on takes care of that: the added presence of maple and the added snap of a bolt on. But I just cannot do 24 fret, I can't. Im a neck pickup player most of the time. When it's clean, 24 fret are passable for me. When I run them through any gain they just sound…bland. You lose that harmonic complexity that comes from positioning the pickup right under the harmonic node where the neck pickup usually resides. On top of that, the way they move the bridge/tremolo closer to the neck pocket. When I sit, I find having to shift my normal playing positioning makes it uncomfortable after an hour or two. If it's available in a 22 fret, it might be a contender. I need to make a decision soon.

Hoooo, the SH6 starts at $2500. That's already PRS CE24 Semi-hollow territory. By the time I spec'd one out to my liking I was at $3700. That's PRS Core territory. Kinda hard to call it a Custom 24 killer like you did in the opening seconds of the video when it's basically the same thing at the same price. It's beautiful for sure. And I could definitely see me owning one. Also it's way better than any $3700 Gibson, if only because of the weight. :D Too bad there's no plain-top option on the SH6. I'd gladly save a couple hundred by getting a beautiful solid color, but I don't want to cover up the flamed maple so I'd never do that with the available wood selection.
