  • We are giving away the ULTIMATE F-250! Check it out! bit.ly/F250_Giveaway
    The Mustang is back for 2024 and in this video I am going to cover everything from the front end, rear end, engine, transmission, interior, technology, and even the Dark Horse.
    The front end on the Mustang 2024 is completely different from the outgoing version. This is the very first time that Ford has given completely different front ends for the Ecoboost and the GT. The GT has a grille that is shaped completely differently than the Ecoboost. This makes it different, but also modern at the same time.
    The biggest change in the new 2024 mustang is the rear of the vehicle. They modernized the sequential turn lights. With this, they also have this really nice body line that runs horizontally through the lights and runs all the way across the backside of the deck lid. Lastly the 2024 Mustang has 11 exterior colors you can pick from, including the two new colors Vapor Blue and Yellow Splash!
    The Ecoboost Mustang has a 2.3L engine which is the best selling engine in the Mustang. Although the numbers have not been released, it is probably going to be somewhere around 325 horsepower.
    Good news! The Manual Transmission made it into the new model! The 6 speed manual transmission has returned for 2024, but this time they beefed it up for the increased horsepower and better reliability. There is also a 10 speed automatic transmission available.
    The interior of the new Mustang is so exciting, and the biggest upgrade that we are getting. The entire dashboard has been changed, with much nicer touch points.
    The biggest improvement in the interior is specifically the technology. There are so many exciting features like Wireless Apple CarPlay and an available instrument cluster that is so large, it actually runs into the normal Touchscreen. Lastly Vaughn is introducing a drifting E-brake for the first time in a production vehicle.
    Ford debuted a 2024 Mustang for every situation. If you plan on tracking your car, they introduced the Dark Horse. Keep in mind this is the first new performance variant that Ford has debuted in 21 years! They debuted the Dark Horse PLUS an entire family of Track Only Mustangs.

    SO glad they kept the V8- it's a very unique thing at this point. It's a unique sound, rumble, feel. To paraphrase a line from Top Gun: Maverick - Maybe so [regarding killing off the V8], but not yet. I like the catfish look for the front more than this very chunky front. The new back end is pretty sweet though- still very muscular, hard, strong, athletic rear end... wait. I'm talking car, not women. Anyway, am glad that Ford had the balls to make this car. The other American car makers just kinda... y'know... shriveled up and complain of shrinkage. Also, I like that they have that Eco-boost- it's unique to this line. Awesome! Well done Ford! I had a 2016 Shelby GT350 Track Package and a 2018 PP1 GT. I didn't love the Shelby (although it looked amazing) but the 2018 Performance Package 1 GT was probably the best car I've ever owned. Happy to see Ford really get serious with the 2024 Mustang performance cars! Well done Ford! And good on you Town and Country for not gouging your customers!

      I'm curious, why do you prefer the GT Performance Pack over the GT350?

    • @SPSteve
      @SPSteve ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@WillyTrip several reasons that require a long answer. I bought a 2016 GT350 new when I was 59 and traded it in when I was 61, so age is a small factor. In 2016 Ford made 3 types of GT350, the GT350R, the GT350 Track Package and the GT350 Technology Package. I bought the Track Package car that came with the base Mustang interior and the Recaro seats. The 2016 GT350 is a tremendous performance car but it has issues. The Voodoo engine had some oil consumption problems and my engine only had 15 PSI pressure at idle and 37 PSI hot at highway speed. Low oil pressure and 8500 RPM is not a good combination. I was a member of a GT350 group online. One guy had a service replacement engine installed because he was getting 200 miles per quart of oil, they also had to replace his cats. Another guy was getting 500 miles per quart but Ford said that was acceptable consumption. So, with low oil pressure and the possibility of a very expensive engine repair/replacement in my future (plus I hated the Recaro seats) I decided to trade the GT350 for a new GT Premium Performance Package 1. I never looked back, I was relieved to get rid of the GT350.
