I have a friend who works as an aerospace engineer who was ranked in the top 5 in the King of the 2 mile in 2020. He's potentially a cool guest to have on and chat about ELR.
Ive watched a few people shoot 6 arch out to a mile. And speaking of fundamental ive watched this one guy shoot his muzzle loader out to a grand. And you have to have great fundamentals to do that.
I've got a question on call shy coyotes. I deer hunt a place in central with alot of call pressure around it. See a lot of yotes deer hunting. Soon as you hit a cotton tail or jack call or even lip squeak they haul tail. I had a bit of an ah ha moment the other day. I jumped a sow with small piglets in thick brush. Couldn't get a shot. 1 of the piglets got separated and went the other way. I caught back up to that piglets on my walk. It was making a ton of noise. Squealing grunts etc. A coyote came running in. Jumped on it and killed it. I shot the yote with the piglet still in its mouth. Haven't had a chance to try using piglet sound as a call yet. Have yall and what none standard calls would you suggest for call shy yotes
Sounds sarcastic but try coyote sounds to call coyotes. In my short experience of calling coyotes I've found that rabbit distress sounds don't work very well outside of September, October and November. Calf distress works sometimes as well.
@@russellsullivan6537 our dogs in our area of west Texas have heard every version a cotton tail or jack rabbit distress and they will run away from it. Lone howls seem to work good and challenge howls work even better right now during breeding season.
@Kirk Martin I have had luck with challenge howls up around Rule and haskell. But I think I could fart into a loud speaker up there and call a yote in. I only hit those spots once or twice a years and they don't get called at alot. I regularly lip squeak in 4-8 yotes at a time when I get bored deer hunting. My place in coleman the dogs are super spooky. Ton of yotes but I've yet to call a single one in. I may go this weekend and do some experimenting.
Yep.. this and Vortex are my favorite podcasts 😂

When will you have 6mm ARC coyote ammo available for AR 15 platform rifles?

I know I misheard him….. but my brain heard Wade say “long range shitting” at some point… what’s the G1 on a turd? 😂
In yalls opinion....
Who makes the best performing "factory" 5.56/223 ammo across most platforms?

@Kirk Martin makes sense. I've had good luck with challenge howls at certain times of the year. May try a hurt pup. Thanks for the advice.

I have one ,an Ar
It runs, not fussy
But some may be like a BMW
I regret ordering anything from Sgt of Arms. Empty promises, no call backs just don’t do it.
