My issue with Ads is how awful they've gotten. For a long time, i had TH-cam whitelisted on adblock. Because like yeah, 5 seconds are *annoying* but i can deal with that. And at least they are in specific parts of the video, and most creators don't add them in bad spots. Then two ads started being a thing. Then unskippable ads. Then 20 second dual ads. Then they started giving the option to add 50 midrolls in the videos. Then they took away that option and put it there for them. It just got too irritating. And i swear it's worse on TV. On phone, i can get at least like....5-10 minutes between ads on a single video(i tend to watch longer ones on the TV), but with on TV, i swear i get them every 2 minutes. And they tend to be unskippable. I understand creators with the ad revenue, but they got too irritating for me.
There are two reasons why the Great Fairy's Sword is a C-item: 1. Majora's Mask got rid of the equipment customization: Link doesn't have sets of shields, tunics and boots to change from like he did in Ocarina of Time. Instead, he upgrades the sword and shield; 2. The Great Fairy's Sword is a two-handed sword like the Biggoron's Sword in Ocarina of Time. Therefore, it can't replace Link's Kokiri Sword or Gilded Sword as an upgrade, as he needs the shield for both combat and puzzles. It's easier to get used to the idea of the GF Sword as a C-item if you think of it as this game's Megaton Hammer.
Not really a skit but I wanted to do something before we end the game: Tale of Deku: There once was a young Deku scrub born to help the royal family and grew a close bond with the princess, despite his appearance he was quick on his feet and incredibly agile. However he was somewhat shy and fearful and wanting to change that he left home to find himself. When he returned something had changed, he was much more confident and even courageous, taking down the monster that plagued woodfall and rescuing the princess, after racing his father one more time (and managing to beat him) he had to depart to help stop a larger threat, but promised his father and princess that he would return afterwards with Woodfall’s fate now in the hands of a young Scrub and his friends.
Majora's Mask Fun Fact #33: The Great Fairy Sword has made another appearance outside of Majora's Mask, in Soul Calibur 2 for the Nintendo Gamecube, Link, specifically the Ocarina of Time iteration was a playable character who would also came with a lot of his weapons from throughout the series such as the Magic Sword from Zelda 1 to the Biggoron Sword from OOT to even the bugnet from LTTP as a joke weapon. The Great Fairy Sword was Link's Ultimate weapon which would not only give him a buff in all of his abilities but also slowly restore his health as well, making it one of link's best overall weapons if you don't care for range or power (also oddly enough the hilt of the blade was brown in Soul Calibur 2 where here it has a green hilt here in Majora's Mask)

The fact that John is still saying that about premium all these years later really reaffirms the decision to get it near the jump. If it was just no ads I could go without it, and I only started making use of YT music this year, but the fact that the creators themselves are directly telling me, unprompted, that it is one of the best ways I can support them, (especially coming from the old days of let’s play where copyright was such an issue even for like Nintendo games) is what sells me on it.

end of the part, i think the reason Great Fairy Sword is a c-item is to prevent an unnatural damage boost since Razor/Gilded are optional. so imagine for someone who hasn't played before, not following guides or anything, going through the game with the basic sword, and yet manages all the fairies in Ikana. going from 1 damage to 4 in an instant would give an impression of something missing in between

Shonen Jump app is great, I recommend reading the Hunter X Hunter manga off of it to those who haven't. It's made by the same man who wrote Yu Yu Hakusho who also is married to the woman who made Sailor Moon. I am in fact shilling this because I freaking love this series.
I'm with Johnny on the premium. Premium is only like $7 for students and is absolutely worth it. I can listen to SGB's Far Cry 5 and all three Kingdom Hearts games on my TV for days nonstop uninterrupted. Also unlimited music is much more useful than you'd think it'd be. Then also being able to ask google to play SGB Silent Hill playlist without having to find and unlock my phone. I can just use earbuds. So its totally sick

For what it’s worth, I say it less as an elitist thing, and more of a “look, if you’re far behind and want to catch up with everyone else, the Manga is the most time efficient way to do it” kind of thing. With one piece especially, the pacing of the fucking anime once you hit a certain point is utterly atrocious, like, bordering on Frieza and Goku on namek levels of dragged out. I love the anime for one piece, I truly, truly do, but I do NOT think it’s the best way to get into it, because at some places the pace feels abysmally glacial when it had a pretty smooth pacing throughout in the manga. Now, if someone said, “hey, what’s the best way to get into YuYu Hakusho?” I’d recommend the English dub of the anime, because I contend that it is one of the BEST dubs of all time, and the anime is paced amazingly well. It’s a case by case basis kinda deal, at least that’s how it should be handled in my opinion.

I don't remember the Stray Fairies of Stone Tower Temple Giving me much trouble and I got them all in one run partially because After Garo Master I make an effort to look through the Dungeon for any switches i can activated before exiting to flip to inverted Tower. And it also pays to look at your Map for any chests you missed LOL
The only annoying thing about it is you have to light the switch to turn back to normal or going upside-down again just to get to the ones you couldn't reach or activate an switch for it to appear. Aside from that, I got all the Stray Fairies on my first runs too. So yeah. It's not that hard to do. Annoying? Sure. But it's not all that bad.
I have Premium, but what pisses me off about is that being able to play videos with your screen locked used to be just a base feature of the app. They took it away and madd it paid instead of adding new features to make it better. Cause a problem, sell a solution. And I listen to asmr and rain sounds to help with my insomnia, so it's pretty much required for me.
I understand that the sheer number of episodes in One Piece does sound intimidating, but man... once I decided to give it a chance, I couldn't put it down until I caught up, only skipping the filler arcs and that pointless Long Ring Long Land arc. The series was that good.
You're right though reading the manga is faster. I've caught up in the manga but I'm also watching it with my dad (and we are in Wano) and while it is still entertaining the recap & the pacing in episodes is really annoying honestly. Especially in Dressrosa, Punk Hazard, & even Wano. I remember skipping like 7 minutes in an episode because it was recap from last episode.

The only reason I can think of for the GFSword being a C item is because there's no Equipment screen in this game (It was replaced by masks). You notice you can't switch your shield back to the Hero's Shield after getting the Mirror Shield. While this was okay for the Shield since it was nothing but an upgrade, forcing Link to use the Fairy Sword instead of his 1-handed blade would cause link to no longer be able to defend with his blade drawn. So, since there was no Equipment menu, they turned it into a C item. Not bad if you're playing the N64 or NSO release, since those have C buttons mapped to actual buttons, but on the Virtual Console with the right stick? Eugh...
didn't expect to hear out of the family again(for fast and the furious of all things.). agree with elliot the manga's the quickest way to catch up(even then it really isn't hard to catch up with the anime/other shonen series really aren't much better with pacing with how much dbz/definitely naruto way more drag to a snail's pace with filler and canon in the later.) and the live action's a nice way to get newcomers into the story basically while cowboy bebop is horrible both as an adaptation and if anything just made me say "i'd rather see a sequel about faye & jet's lives after spike's final fight" instead of what we got that they could've done with the series(death note was more it shouldn't have been light/l).
It may very well be the quickest way, but I personally don't find doing it that way all that fun anymore. Even if I used the Shonen app, I still wouldn't be as invested as I used to be. All just a personal preference though, I'm not saying it's wrong to do it that way.
I actually [mentally] crafted up the first episode of the 2nd season, IF it were even possible. Call it a fan-made something or another. But essentially since it ended on Ed FINALLY appearing, it would be them for a few hours in-show time, making ends meet and maybe just doing the Ed-focused Eps from the anime, and eventually they meets up with Jet and Faye. ....oh the point of this post? Oh the show was good for what it was, a bit too dramatized for my tastes, but the humor was here & there and very hit and miss, took itself wayy too seriously, even. Think I was more glad to be done with it though, not gonna lie.
Speaking of Yu Yu Hakusho and fans of condensing, the Netflix series condenses 66 24-minute episodes into 5 45-minute episodes. I use adblock on principle. Several years back there was a 5 minute ad for nba that mocked you for being unskippable. This ad played constantly. Nowadays it is completely possible to see ads triple the runtime of the video i'm trying to watch. It should be illegal to make me watch 30 minutes of ads throughout a 10 minute video. And yt premium is a solution to a problem youtube caused.
So about One Piece being over 1000 episodes. A new studio is working on a new anime called "The One Piece." The original anime isn't stopping. It's also not the equivalent of Dragon Ball Kai. It's closer to Hunter x Hunter 2011. Filler cut and completely reanimated from the ground up. Another issue with the anime that long-time fans forget is that it started in 1999. The animation early on is horrible, and it's in 4:3, and the voice acting is subpar.
I feel like Matt wouldn't have forgotten that one treasure chest, if he had made the jump. You know what would have made the jump easier? Being able to control your speed, to adjust your aim properly, before going full tilt boogie into the jump. You know what game does that? That's right, ding ding ding, it's the 3DS version. Man, it's almost like speed doesn't equate to better controls. Who'd have thunk it? Honestly, racing video games already tells us this already, so I don't know why people are being this blind to this fact. Now does it suck it has to be the button that drains your magic as well? Yes, it does suck with it being mapped that way. But still, overall, the ability to just toggle your swim speed, would be better than just always going fast. As this episode, and probably 1 or 2 episodes ago has shown.
11:08 As someone who's only watched the Death Note anime and never watched the "most recent" live action (there are multiple by the way), the biggest takeaway I get is that it's mediocre at best for non-Death Note fans, and one of the worst live action films ever for many Death Note fans.
I'm typically not one to touch live-action remakes with how notorious they are, I'm honestly concerned for what the live-action YYH remake will do, since I loved the anime (Jin is such a fun character), that said, I could not ever tolerate One Piece's ridiculous art style or how long it is. I think I gave up a few episodes after Arlong gets his shit kicked in, but the live-action version is actually more tolerable. However, some of the intimidation factor some of the characters had is lost without the art style. Morgan, for example, isn't as imposing as he looks in the anime.
The only reason to watch it is to see Willam Defoe as Ryuk. That man put his heart and goddamn soul into playing him, and he’s genuinely enjoyable. Now, the anime, and its dub especially, are tied with the YuYu Hakusho dub from Funimation as my favorite dubs of all time, if you look at it from a quality standpoint. For what it’s worth, I say it less as an elitist thing, and more of a “look, if you’re far behind and want to catch up with everyone else, the Manga is the most time efficient way to do it” kind of thing. With one piece especially, the pacing of the fucking anime once you hit a certain point is utterly atrocious, like, bordering on Frieza and Goku on namek levels of dragged out.
I love the anime for one piece, I truly, truly do, but I do NOT think it’s the best way to get into it, because at some places the pace feels abysmally glacial when it had a pretty smooth pacing throughout in the manga.
Now, if someone said, “hey, what’s the best way to get into YuYu Hakusho?” I’d recommend the English dub of the anime, because I contend that it is one of the BEST dubs of all time, and the anime is paced amazingly well.
It’s a case by case basis kinda deal, at least that’s how it should be handled in my opinion.
FYI, SGB, the great fairy sword allows you to pull out of your inventory, even when you are cursed unlike the gilded sword
Great Fairy Sword is a C-Button because MM has no equipment subscreen like OoT did for you to equip it to B. Hence you can also never switch off the Mirror Shield when you get it in MM like you could with OoT.

Legit the fastest way to get into One Piece but if you cannot get into reading it for whatever reasons and sooner stick to watching, fair. But whether you watch or read, finish the Arlong Park Arc and decide if you wanna stick with One Piece, that arc in particular, it's vibes is basically what you're gonna get if you kept reading.

Honestly I really like how hard TH-cam is fighting against adblockers, now not only do more people know about adblockers, but I've also learned about third party TH-cam clients like Freetube and Newpipe that not only ditch the ads, but also bring back features TH-cam decided to lock behind premium subscriptions when they used to be free like background play, and I've also learned over the course of this playthrough that just loading TH-cam in a private Firefox tab just ignores their anti adblock shit even on an outdated version of Firefox AND Ublock Origin, and I never would've known about any of this adblock technology if it wasn't for TH-cam trying so hard to stop me from using adblock

I don't remember the Stray Fairies of Stone Tower Temple Giving me much trouble and I got them all in one run partially because After Garo Master I make an effort to look through the Dungeon for any switches i can activated before exiting to flip to inverted Tower. And it also pays to look at your Map for any chests you missed LOL
The only annoying thing about it is you have to light the switch to turn back to normal or going upside-down again just to get to the ones you couldn't reach or activate an switch for it to appear. Aside from that, I got all the Stray Fairies on my first runs too. So yeah. It's not that hard to do. Annoying? Sure. But it's not all that bad.

I understand that the sheer number of episodes in One Piece does sound intimidating, but man... once I decided to give it a chance, I couldn't put it down until I caught up, only skipping the filler arcs and that pointless Long Ring Long Land arc. The series was that good.
You're right though reading the manga is faster. I've caught up in the manga but I'm also watching it with my dad (and we are in Wano) and while it is still entertaining the recap & the pacing in episodes is really annoying honestly. Especially in Dressrosa, Punk Hazard, & even Wano. I remember skipping like 7 minutes in an episode because it was recap from last episode.

The only reason I can think of for the GFSword being a C item is because there's no Equipment screen in this game (It was replaced by masks). You notice you can't switch your shield back to the Hero's Shield after getting the Mirror Shield. While this was okay for the Shield since it was nothing but an upgrade, forcing Link to use the Fairy Sword instead of his 1-handed blade would cause link to no longer be able to defend with his blade drawn. So, since there was no Equipment menu, they turned it into a C item. Not bad if you're playing the N64 or NSO release, since those have C buttons mapped to actual buttons, but on the Virtual Console with the right stick? Eugh...

agree with elliot the manga's the quickest way to catch up(even then it really isn't hard to catch up with the anime/other shonen series really aren't much better with pacing with how much dbz/definitely naruto way more drag to a snail's pace with filler and canon in the later.) and the live action's a nice way to get newcomers into the story basically while cowboy bebop is horrible both as an adaptation and if anything just made me say "i'd rather see a sequel about faye & jet's lives after spike's final fight" instead of what we got that they could've done with the series(death note was more it shouldn't have been light/l).
It may very well be the quickest way, but I personally don't find doing it that way all that fun anymore. Even if I used the Shonen app, I still wouldn't be as invested as I used to be. All just a personal preference though, I'm not saying it's wrong to do it that way.
I actually [mentally] crafted up the first episode of the 2nd season, IF it were even possible. Call it a fan-made something or another. But essentially since it ended on Ed FINALLY appearing, it would be them for a few hours in-show time, making ends meet and maybe just doing the Ed-focused Eps from the anime, and eventually they meets up with Jet and Faye.
....oh the point of this post? Oh the show was good for what it was, a bit too dramatized for my tastes, but the humor was here & there and very hit and miss, took itself wayy too seriously, even. Think I was more glad to be done with it though, not gonna lie.

I use adblock on principle. Several years back there was a 5 minute ad for nba that mocked you for being unskippable. This ad played constantly. Nowadays it is completely possible to see ads triple the runtime of the video i'm trying to watch. It should be illegal to make me watch 30 minutes of ads throughout a 10 minute video. And yt premium is a solution to a problem youtube caused.

So about One Piece being over 1000 episodes. A new studio is working on a new anime called "The One Piece." The original anime isn't stopping. It's also not the equivalent of Dragon Ball Kai. It's closer to Hunter x Hunter 2011. Filler cut and completely reanimated from the ground up. Another issue with the anime that long-time fans forget is that it started in 1999. The animation early on is horrible, and it's in 4:3, and the voice acting is subpar.
I feel like Matt wouldn't have forgotten that one treasure chest, if he had made the jump. You know what would have made the jump easier? Being able to control your speed, to adjust your aim properly, before going full tilt boogie into the jump. You know what game does that? That's right, ding ding ding, it's the 3DS version. Man, it's almost like speed doesn't equate to better controls. Who'd have thunk it? Honestly, racing video games already tells us this already, so I don't know why people are being this blind to this fact.
Now does it suck it has to be the button that drains your magic as well? Yes, it does suck with it being mapped that way. But still, overall, the ability to just toggle your swim speed, would be better than just always going fast. As this episode, and probably 1 or 2 episodes ago has shown.

11:08 As someone who's only watched the Death Note anime and never watched the "most recent" live action (there are multiple by the way), the biggest takeaway I get is that it's mediocre at best for non-Death Note fans, and one of the worst live action films ever for many Death Note fans.
I'm typically not one to touch live-action remakes with how notorious they are, I'm honestly concerned for what the live-action YYH remake will do, since I loved the anime (Jin is such a fun character), that said, I could not ever tolerate One Piece's ridiculous art style or how long it is. I think I gave up a few episodes after Arlong gets his shit kicked in, but the live-action version is actually more tolerable.
However, some of the intimidation factor some of the characters had is lost without the art style. Morgan, for example, isn't as imposing as he looks in the anime.
The only reason to watch it is to see Willam Defoe as Ryuk. That man put his heart and goddamn soul into playing him, and he’s genuinely enjoyable.
Now, the anime, and its dub especially, are tied with the YuYu Hakusho dub from Funimation as my favorite dubs of all time, if you look at it from a quality standpoint. Johnny Young Bosh KILLS it as Light Yagami
