I've learned how to do vector graphics only because I stumbled upon your channel two years ago. It's now my hobby and I'm trying to turn it into my job. I just want to thank you for your awesome tutorials. Keep it up, Nick!
Love your work, Nick. I've used Gimp for many many years and found it to be great for image manipulation but merely adequate for design. I rediscovered Inkscape through your channel and noticed that Inkscape has matured significantly since I last had it installed in the '90's. Thanks for your clear narration and thorough knowledge of this program. From what I've seen, you're second to none. Linux for President!
Um, yeah. Subscribed. Your channel is amazing! Things I've been attempting to do in both Inkscape and GIMP... you have them all here. Thanks for sharing your skill set!
I’ve learned a lot over the past few days from watching your videos! They’re amazing, this program is very very confusing starting out but you make it easier to understand. I made a logo for my business I’m starting and I love it, but, I’m wondering if you would take a look and tweak it or give recommendations to make it look better. I plan on getting business cards and shirts made so I’m not sure how much detail can go into it without being too difficult for printing on cards and shirts
What if we use Duplicate the text object (converted to path)and move along Y axis > generate from paths> extrude> selectively cleanup unnecessary polygons . I think that will be a more efficient way.
i dont know if you made a video on Resynthesizer plugin and the Heal Selection tool but could you. Or please link mac osx gimp where i can download. thank you for the videos.
Great content as always Nick, thank you. Do you have a video on how you make your basic youtube video titles/headers? ie. white text in the white rectangle frames?
Nick, is there any way to place text onto a sphere? I've watched your videos where you've placed text onto a curved path. Others have tried it (8 ball videos) but didn't utilize the compound curves required. I was curious to know if you could use the wire extension as the base but I get lost from there. Thanks.
Hey Nick I got a quickie question for you what would it look like if you at the end reselected everything and undid... or redid rather the sheer and rotate... to bring everything back to true? What would the lighting // shadow cut out effect look like??
Try it out. You just have to rotate it two steps clockwise, then shear it 1 step to the right. It'll put everything right back where it was and it'll look pretty much the same, just with the angles different.
just saw an ad were this girl got rid of a man in one of her photos where the an and im guessing the girl are jumping into a pool and at the end of the ad saying "perfecting your memories"...

This is awesome, I've been following your videos for a while, thank you!
I had moved the text to layer under and then use grays to darken the bottom layers, that way it would be esier to colorize the letters.

Hey! I'm just curious how you created your thumbnail? The "watercolour paper" esque background looked really cool
Thank you nick. You should add a link of fonts or whatever images needed a day or two earlier on your Community too.

Does anyone know how to create a curve d shaped in inkscape using the aximatic grid. for example if i was trying to make a curved road?
Please suggest couple of more fonts which can be used.
hey what is the name of your thumbnail filter?
It's a paper texture that I downloaded from Pixabay and overlayed onto the thumbnail with GIMP. I believe I used the Multiply blend mode.
thanks!
Really nice and useful. I'd just like to know how you gave it the paper like texture that you showed on the tumbnail.
Yeiy for new video!

Could you make a tutorial on how you make the logos look printed on paper in your thumbnails?
I was wondering how you could add ambient occlusoion on your 2D logos

Missed the top left of the E. I didn't hear a single thing you said after that. ;-)
Is this strictly for Inkscape or can I manage to do this with GIMP? I'm brand new to this sort of stuff

Do you participate in the 36 Days of Type project?
Not sure what that is
@@LogosByNick it's one month project, where you post one letter design every day, check it out at www.36daysoftype.com/ !
Love all of this. Btw you missed a piece on the "E" but noone noticed so that's probably fine
@jasper You missed he did the reverse in the thumbnail. Not judging Nick, you single handedly educated me in inkscape. Many thanks.
Thanks for great tuts Nick. I've been learning and adapting. DeviantArt: hav3ck
