its really frustrating that the Academy Awards refuses to recognize motion capture in movies... I think Andi Serkis would have won a few awards as an actor in this, King Kong (2005), and others for his motion capture work!
I feel like Caesar’s family is the smartest because not only are they all born with the ALL-112 but Ceasar also breathed in the ALZ-113 so him and blue eyes, and Cornelius are the only apes with both the 112 and 113 possibly making them twice as smart

Ceaser’s father was also a leader and dominant ape. His name was Alpha. So genetically speaking, he was born to be great. Will’s influence and the 112 just made him even more remarkable.
The scene where Gary Oldman is looking through the photos on the iPad is one of the most gut-wrenching things I've ever seen in a movie. He is hands down one of the greatest actors of all time and should get an award just for that scene alone.

This movie is so good. When Blue Eyes talks to his father about Ash and Koba, even without words, you can hear his voice crack with emotion. What a performance.
Koba is literally one of my top 10 favorite movie villains! Toby Kebbell played him to perfection. As for Andy Serkis, the man never fails to amaze me with his motion capture performances (Caesar most of all), I am glad to call him my favorite actor of all time.
if you love Andy Serkis' performances,you GOTTA watch Peter Jackson's King Kong from 2005,Andy Serkis obviously plays the role of Kong but also a human character who's very funny
Koba was experimented on a lot more and so his anger and aggression comes from remembrance and accountability of the humans. Because Caesar was raised in kindness by humans he typifies the wisdom of observing and being around them longer so he has more of a side of mercy and leadership that the others.
Yeah. I already enjoyed rise a lot and then when I saw the next two they just blew me away with how good they are. None of them are bad just the next two tend to be better than an already good first.

Really? I never watched it! I wasn’t thrilled with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, tho I did really like it, so I hadn’t planned on watching the third one. But if it’s actually good, I will.

You know when you were talking about the difference between Koba & Cesar’s experiments. That’s actually a very good point something I never thought about; what if it effects their mentality in different ways?
Watched the film tonight for the first time. Been watching the films to see Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes in May. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was a beautiful sequel that has way more action, the CGI was unbelievable, and the performances ❤.
The thing with Koba is that he's been experimented on time and time again. Probably born in a lab somewhere. He has no trust of humans because of all the things that have been done to him ("human work"). He can't trust humans and he can't see that not all humans are his enemy. His anger is driven by his fear of once again being put in a cage. Caesar is the opposite of Koba. He was never held captive but raised by a human so he knows not all humans are bad. He also fails to see just how much Koba's anger and fear drive him until it's almost too late.
He was born in captivity, and had a bond with a women who worked there and taught him sign language but his mother was beaten to death when he was young,he tried to intervene but was slashed with a knife on his face,he then was moved to a man who had a chimp called milo, and koba became friends with him,they both starred in a show that had them do tricks,and when the failed they would be beaten up,one night their owner got drunk because his show wasn’t doing well and took his anger out Koba and Milo,beating milo up,slashing koba with a knife all over his body and burning his eye with cigarette,after that,koba and milo were taken away from the man and were split,and never saw each other again,koba was moved to the genesis lab were he was bullied by William Jacobs and experimented on
I saw the original series. And they were my favorites my whole life. Then these movies came out. And now they are my favorites. So many truths. I know it’s about talking apes. But the lessons apply to real life. And I so love this series. I found you because of your reactions. And I want to thank you for how you edited this. So we can see the cc. I have the dvds. these are all incredible. I grew up loving the original series of movies (some more than others), but this is one of those rare occasions where the remake is as good if not even better than the first series. Looking forward to how you feel about the final one.
Andy Serkis’ acting praise is well deserved and I’ll damn the Academy all to hell if he doesn’t get an Oscar soon for something, but Toby Kebbell is scarily good as Koba.

Chimp muscle fibers are formed differently, making them about 1.35x stronger than a human of equal size. Also their lifestyle of climbing in trees and whatnot gives them constant full body workouts, so they are insanely strong.
still feels great to have a trilogy of excellence like this in the last ten years. its one of the rare stand outs. films are getting rarer and rarer now.
@@therealneji I didn't like how I phrased my reply. Yes it is technically a reboot in the sense that it's an old franchise being reimagined at a later date. However the movies can be watched as prequels with the original series and makes for quite an entertaining experience. Especially since there are nods and connections to the original series in the new movies.

Actually Caesar was born with the 1-12 but also got exposed to the 1-13 when he let it spread out in the cages for all the apes to get smart (Thats probably why he started talking first too, he got even smarter). The big difference with Koba and Caesar is that, Caesar was raised by a human father and got to know the good side of humans as well as the bad later on. Koba has only ever seen the bad side of humans and has been tortured and tested on repeatedly, so hes just filled with so much hate. Like Caesar said during this movie "Koba learned hate from humans and nothing else"
If you're curious on how much stronger chimps are compared to humans.....Koba could wield an assault rifle in one hand where as humans usually need it to support it with two.
They actually did create the sign language it’s not real sign language humans have but they created there own world with a different communication system which I thought was very cool

So basically.. two teenagers secretly meet up in the forest, only to witness a blood bath. They are seen, but escape trying to keep this as a secret, both in fear of the perpetrator and that their secret is revealed. Hope you will check it out 🙏
I just realized that "Easter egg" when they showed her name tag in the first one. It's cool how Cesar had this connection with his mom even though he never met her.

Did you watch the movie? Koba's entire reasoning for wanting to murder all humans was entirely selfish. He was angry at what humans did to him in the past, so he believed killing them all would alleviate his pain. Also, Koba doesn't give 1 fuck about other apes.
