Hawk T2 Fast Jets at RAF Valley - Our Last 2021 Hawk Footage (Close up - Pilots Waving)

- The last day filming Hawks for us in 2021 (just before the airfield closed). While we would love to see more of the Typhoon, F-15s, F-16s and the new F-35s, we never get tired of seeing these. They are easy to underestimate, but they are a fantastic aircraft in reality!
The BAE Systems Hawk is a long standing resident at RAF Valley, Anglesey, and while it's only a trainer (progression from the Texan - see our other videos), it's an incredible jet non-the-less.
It has a maximum speed of 638mph/1,028kph, and a range of 2,520km with a crew of 2, max. It is powered by 1 x Rolls Royce/Turbomeca Adour Mk 151 turbofan. It is possible for it to carry armament.

I cant wait to start my fast jet training in a year hopefully 🙏 long time to wait but it will be worth it
That sounds fantastic, we wish you all the best of luck!
Keep in touch, we might end up filming you one day. 😎
Not our frontline jet by a long chalk BUT such a beautiful jet to behold - a beauty most likely derived from it's well it's well executed form and function.
Quite right! Although it can be armed, it's mostly used for training obviously. It's such a lovely aircraft. The T1 was even more well formed. We still really love the Texans too.
A beautiful nippy fast little jet ..... love em and the Folland Gnat !
What is the best time to go there
The best times can be varied depending on weather etc, and takeoffs can sometimes vary in general anyway, but as a rule we find they put a load of Hawks and Texans up in the morning, who then come home just before lunch, and then they do the same in the afternoon. It really does depend on a lot of factors though. They might spend the day locally rehearsing touch and go/approaches/circuit etc.
There's also RAF Mona, which is a relief base, they sometimes use for touch and go practice.
It's great fun.
@@NorthWalesBoatsandPlanes thank you because we went on the weekend and there was nothing we will try raf mona next
Ah, sorry my bad, I must add that all that is during the week only. They don't fly at the weekend at either base unfortunately.
@@NorthWalesBoatsandPlanes ok thank you
