Read the owners manual that came with your Glock. On page 20 of mine that came with my G47, it clearly says, "Release the slide to return it to the forward (closed) position by either pressing the slide stop or grasping the rear of the slide at the serrations..." This proves two things. 1. You never read your instruction book. 2. The manufacturer did design and intend for the slide to be released using the slide stop.
glad I’m not the only one that brings it home with the slide lock I always see these tacticool douche bags racking the slide for no reason good way to get smoked in an actual situation
who might sell a handgun vise with adjustable recoil properties that would maintain the exact position of the weapon for continuous firing during a laser sight set-up?

Banjoman Dotnet there is no break in process for a Glock. And yes, sights are factory set, but that’s no guarantee

It’s a slide lock or slide stop not a release. Manufacturer never designed it or intended it to be a release.
