I'd really suggest having travel insurance for big trips. The first time I got a policy, my airline left my checked bag in a Denver while I flew to Canada and didn't get the bag to me for a week. My travel insurance reimbursed me for all the toiletries and clothes I had to buy.
Some policies will compensate you for delayed/canceled flights and hotel rooms needed because of it and even emergency evacuation due to natural disasters or war breaking out (I only have experience with a delayed bag though lol)

Oh my god I LOVED Salzburg, Austria. Home of Mozart! Not crowded at all and it was gorgeous. Where the Sound of Music was filmed! The old cathedrals, architecture, and Castle was to die for. Wish I stayed longer than two days there on my central Europe trip.

Brendan Gleeson is the other Irish actor in the movie In Bruges - such a good movie. Bruges the city itself is beautiful, definitely worth a visit 😌
