group a was perfect, the greatest era of racing and rallying. strange that three of the greatest touring cars came from group a in the 80s. and rallying in the 90s

DTM was the main reason the civil war of between Mercedes Benz (190e Cosworth) and BMW (e30 M3) was so iconic, because they all had to be homolgated, and evolutions had to be re-homolgated if it wasn't for DTM we would have (190e cosworth and m3 and they each had several evolutions with different engines, aerodynamics, etc. Which had to be homolgated each time they changed something to beat the others latest evolution).
One of my best friends owned 2 of these back when they were still cheap he tracked one and daily drive the other. Sold them off bought a GT3 Porsche and I regret not picking one of the E30s up for myself. Amazing cars

LOVE IT ... but I have seen only in a few videos the back windows on the mighty beema(s) open. I always drive my beaut, if weather permits, with both bat-wings stretched to the max. :)
Are you sure the engine /exhaust noise wasn't artificially pumped into the speaker on the laptop? I love the sound on my E46 M3. Wish it was legal in california to put in the csl airbox!
