Wow you look amazing Caedmon! I remember your old days racing in CAT B. And you had the pain of being returned to CAT once, but now you're back! I feel you have become stronger and more relaxed. Even without the headband I recommended, you can control the sweat flowing like a waterfall!! :) Good Luck. You are getting better!
Drafting the fast Bs helps speed me up haha 😅 but time changes so much between races based on who signs up and total number of entrants. I know Cat C races can sometimes be faster than B races too
Yeah, it’s that gradual uphill that got to me the second time around. It’s just like the Richmond course after Libby and 23rd St and then the killer is that final long Governor street climb. Tough course but fun racing!
I think Monday UK prime time is usually the fastest. But I find US prime time to be plenty fast for me haha 😅 over 100 racers and I’d be out the back immediately
Another great effort Caedmon. You did really well to hold on as long as you did, it's weird they changed it from 1 lap to 2. Great job keeping the chasers at bay and you ended with a strong finish! 👊💪
Hey thanks! Yeah, I think my low cadence is compensating for my lack of fitness right now. I need to get back into structured training to build up the fitness for a higher cadence.
Sprinting down that last rider like a dog on a bone. Well done!
I knew I had a chance with the uphill finish!

Hey thanks! During the winter, my trainer room is much colder, so not quite as much sweating. Might need that headband come next summer 😃
Cracking effort, Caedmon! 🎉 Great job hanging on for so long and then for keeping it going to keep those behind at bay 💪 🚲
Tough one 😅 I’m not sure if I’ve ever done a 2-lap race there. The second time up that gradual uphill just took everything out of me.
Good one.
Well done for hanging on as long as you did. 👍 Tough route I got dropped at the start of Lap 2 🤣
Yeah, I really like this route. The hardest part for me is the start of each lap with the long gradual uphill
Great fight in last 30s for 26th!
I was focusing on trying to keep the person behind me from catching up. Turns out I was able to catch someone else!
Good effort 👍🏾You need 5 days off! Your nervous system is fried!
One more race (potentially) this week, and then I’ll be off the bike for at least 5 days for the Christmas holiday 👍
@@CaedmonCycling you've earned it 👍🏾🙌🏾
My cat C time was a couple places behind yours and I was 10th of 67. I’m sure you never look back. 😊
Hey, nice work, that’s a great result 👍
And your time would have won.

This is a tough course...there's a few short 3% rises in the middle of the main hills that create problems...just when you want to recover!

Man i died twords the end of that race as well not used to doing 2 laps. Prime time monday night seems to be super fast.

Thanks Mark 👍
Good run. But you have to work on that cadence. With such a low cadence, you burn your legs quickly. More cadence when putting in more power
Hey thanks! Yeah, I think my low cadence is compensating for my lack of fitness right now. I need to get back into structured training to build up the fitness for a higher cadence.
You might need some structured training, to recover better on the downhill parts. Now your heartbeat frequency stays high...
Yeah, definitely agree. I need to get back into Zone 2 after the holiday season. My fitness is lacking a bit
I have just finished this race. I also got dropped. (33:57 my time). Cat B is so hard
Yeah, keep it going and we’ll improve together. Your time is almost identical to mine 👍
