Just wanted to say thank you for such a great tutorial. Did my skim board without any hitches. Wish I could post up a picture and show you. My Son really liked his skim board TV tray I made. Out of all the tutorials I saw on TH-cam, yours was the best. Once again thank you for your help.
This is a great compliment! I'll be happy to see a picture of the board! if you want you can send it to my mail: daya.cz10@gmail.com What an awsome Dad! :)
You know this with spraypainting skateboard and splashing some soap for a cool effect... Can you do that directly on the tree? What i mean is can you sandpaper the board and the direct put soap on it, spraypaint and then clean it or do you need atleast 1 layer of paint before you put the soap? Is it bad for the tree with soap?
I don't know if I get you right....but there's no high and low spots from the soap. as long as you will follow the instructions on the description box you'll be good!
What he means is if the paint overlaps. As in where there was soap would it peel off or be a t a raised position and differ from the part that was covered.
It doesn't. The board just had a recent coat of new paint which would basically protect from the water. As long as she doesn't have her grip-tape on it won't water lodge. The hearings are usually the only thing that does so this isn't much of a concern.
Yes you can. But, the main concern is the paint rubbing off too. Give it 45min to an hour to dry first. The soap should come off. Depending on tempurtures the soap may bakes on the board. With that you could maybe use a Clorox wipe or a damp towel to get it off.
Basicly you only have to wait just until the black paint dries on the wood, if it's summer in your place and it's a hot day it could take less time, if it's winter, more time. But you must NOT let the black spray getting dry on the soap. Am I clear enough? :)
Thanks for the tutorial. Did you use acrylic, oil, or enamel based spray paint? I am assuming acrylic because of the way the black washed away with the soap, but I could be wrong. Please let me know! Thanks!
hey , What kind of soap did ya mix with the water ? , so you spray board desired colours (and then let dry) then tip soapy water over board then imediatly spray with black paint ? , And let the black paint dry before sopay water then was off ? is that right ?
nice! I love the way it turned out!

I think maybe you should spray a clear coat befor the soap and let it dry. so the wood wont soak up the water.
can you tell me what brand spray paint you used?
Will it damage the deck itself?
That was cool!
Are there any high or low spots from the soap when you finish? I want to try it, but I don't like high and low spots.

You can tell by seeing it that it was. Sorry my explemation sucked.
very nice
That's cool but ringing off the soap with water will water lodge it
So what would you do for an alternative?
AmuckPVP just use a dry cloth

Im Venom wut..?
you can just immediately dry it with a piece of cloth
Thats fukin RAD!! At first i was like why the soap ?! Best diy deck thus far
can wipe of the soap instead of washing it down?
i haven't tried it so i can't say. try it on another surface...
Ok thanks
Did it work?

How long after you spray the black, do you rinse down with water? Is it normal time of about 15-20 mins?

andimon2010 by the CAN I'm assuming enamel. The enamel also works to keep it on longer cause it's sometimes even used on cars.
Can I just use paint and not spray paint? :-)
Dopeness!!!!!!!
Should of done the same with hardware, trucks and wheels, with the wheels just get colorful ones not spray paint, and ad custom grip
Kiwiburger Wheels wouldn’t last. Paint won’t stay on the wheels

Hi Jimmy-Dean, the soap is a standart dishes soap. i used it as is, without mixing it with water. so everything is right beside it.
good luck:)
Rad deck but only do this if you have a plastic cruiser (penny)
Or if you have a wooden cruiser as you will not be popping your tail
Zethyislife wtf??
What is this song called
Yeah, I want to know that too, kwebellkop used the same song in one of his agar.io videos.

I don't remember but I will check it out for you.
Omfg-hello .... But some sorda remix
if you are planning to do this DO NOT SOAK YOUR SKATEBOARD it looks good but the veneer glue will wear out making the layers puff up
It's work in penny?
I hope your grammars better as a year has passed now. But yes, simply sand the board before painting. It should stick on the same.
Omg THX FOR SHOWING ME THIS I DID THIS ON MY PENNY BOARD AND NOW ITS SO LIT!!!!!
