Awesome video!!! This is definitely another great technique to keep in your arsenal for designs. I would like to do one where the base coat fades from light to dark color and then black over the soap.
I do too but the idea was when you scratch the board you'll have the black show through and create a really cool effect 🤷♂️ ill do more in black this was just an experiment to see if it would work
Thanks for showing learning if you don't keep it black but white is also cool. Nevertheless the other colors don't blend well with the soap don't know why but it's the color scheme ....

Did you add any coats of LACQUER?? I know not everyone likes shiny boards, but you can get lacquer in satin! The LACQUER will DEFINITELY add a couple of things to your really good job!: 1) it will DEFINITELY add some POP to your colors - if you want that! 2) MOST important I GUARANTEE the lacquer will add a VERY GOOD layer of protection, as skateboarders really beat their boards! Here is THEE best lacquer to use, if you want to try it-------DEFT is the BRAND lacquer "DEFT LACQUER!!! You can get it in satin or gloss! This lacquer SELF levels and DRIES IN 15 20 minutes--- then spray at least one more coat, if you want to do a third coat--- make sure the 2nd coat is dry---- then LIGHTLY SAND--- with-- a PAPER BAG that you need to tear into into bigger pieces -- yes -- a brown paper bag---- then --- you can push kind of aggressive over the DRIED coats you just put on--- this really pushes the lacquer into the 1st coat!! WIPE the board with a micro fiber towel to get ALL fine dust particles off! Then put on the 3rd final coat and just let your boards sit -- in a CLOSED space ( large box or somewhere--- the AIR or WIND will NOT blow ANY DUST or dirt ONTO your boards! I GUARANTEE --the LONGER --3-4 days you let it sit---- the HARDER and better the GLOSS and very hard satin will show you a NICE level( no POOLING) You spray it on just like you did your spray paint! *** THIN COAT on all layers--- if you MISS A SPOT--DO NOT -- go back over it----- JUST take a good note of where you missed and THEN--on you 2nd COAT--- MAKE SURE you spray over that spot and any other spots you missed ( BUT KEEP MOVING) ! The other layers WILL ATTACH themselves to that spot missed you just covered-- so you will have EQUAL LAYERS OF LACQUER! THIN LAYERS of DEFT lacquer- keep moving the spray can ( it will level) If you can, practice the spraying of DEFT lacquer on an old wood board or an old skateboard-- just to see how it acts how you might spray it! MOST IMPORTANT -- make SURE you go to the HARDWARE store and GET A FULL MASK( not an N95 cotton MASK) GET THE FULL PROFESSIONAL PAINTERS MASK!($25 -$30 ) You NEED to protect your air passages and LUNGS--- at ALL TIMES! YES--- you NEED to wear the FULL mask-- even just SPRAY painting! That was an impressive project!!! Nicely done!!
